Pros: 31/20 this bat is so well balanced. Swings like an 18oz. I went from the end load Insane and picked up so much bat speed.
Cons: None.
Pros: Bat is hot - just like last years model... Not completely broken in yet but I see the ball pop off this bat really well.
Cons: Hope it is a little more durable. Went through 3 CF5 30/19 bats in the last year.
Pros: This is the hottest bat on the market today. Our 8 an under team has 5 of them.
Cons:
Pros: Haven't used it alot yet but could tell its on fire right out the box. My 10 yr old loves it already
Cons: Nothing yet.
Pros: The bat moves the ball, but not like that 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFS/P, drop 10 or 11 (-10 or -11). It could be that it needs to be broken in; I was expecting hot out of the wrapper!
Cons:
Pros: Outstanding bat. Confidence builder and great pop.
Cons: Not owning one sooner.
Pros: This bat is very hot out of the wrapper. Bought the 31'/20oz for my 10-year-old and she smoked the first pitch she saw. It is extremely well-balanced and feels very light for a -11. Easy for girls to control and offers the pop of a heavier bat. All of her teammates are using it and are getting increased velocity and distance on their hits. I like the new design and graphics. One parent even commented, "That bat looks like it is expensive!" All in all, I'd say this is about as nice a -11 composite bat as money can buy.
Cons: None yet. She hasn't had it very long so I'll bve watching for issues and will report back if we run into any.
Pros: By far best bat ive had the ball really pops off it.
Cons:
Pros: 9 yr old loves this bat. 3rd game hit one out of the park @ 200'. great trampeling affect.
Cons: not a thing !!
Pros: Extremely hot right out of the wrapper. Unbelievable difference between this bat and other composites.
Cons: none so far
Pros: Not much to say, just another GREAT bat from team DeMarini. Bought the 30/19 for my 10 yr old & to be honest with you I don't know who likes it more her or her coach
Cons: zero
Pros: Bat is awsome. Has a trampoline effect and my 9yr old daughter hit her first homerun in the 8u world series this yr.
Cons: None daughter loves it.
Pros: Bought my daughter a 31/20 and its PERFECT! Its so well balanced it feels more like a 18.5-19 oz bat. First time my daughter used it she had a HR, a Triple and 2 doubles.
Cons: Bat isnt fire hot out of the warpper but still hotter than most bats at their best. Once the bat has some work it is crazy how much pop it has.
Pros: this bat has great pop. We had the synge prior to this bat and the CF5 gives us about 10+ feet per hit (on the sweet spot).
Cons: none so far.
Pros: Our 11 y/o daughter hit ball to the fence within the first five times using this bat. She already had the 2012 insane, which she absolutely loves, but we got this one bc wanted an inch longer and an overall balanced bat. Can't go wrong with this bat! Well worth the money! (still breaking bat in)
Cons:
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper! We bought the 31/20, so light feeling. Added at least 20-30 feet to every line drive/flyball by dughter hit. What used to be routine grounders are now making fielders turn their heads because the ball is coming so fast.
Cons: None so far
Pros: Very good pop i would say the best yet for the DeMarini CF series, and better than the Easton models except in how they hold up. LS XENO might be a overall better bat for the money. I paid the 300 plus to find this out for you.
Cons: bat chips very easy which will lead to the bat having a shorter game life. Easton bats after several years look new compared to our brand new CF5 -11. Total let down in product so far. XENO btr product for money.
Pros: Great pop.
Cons: It broke really fast after using it in 3 games.
Pros: Great out of the box. Just waiting for the break-in period to end. Every girl on the team is hitting hot shots with it. I could not be more pleased!
Cons: None yet but will write if any come up!
Pros: i love it the pop of it is amazing
Cons: none
Pros: Ball travels further when hit, and large sweet spot.
Cons: None yet.
Pros: Nice pop! Light weight for bat speed.
Cons: 9U girls complain about their hands stinging.
Pros: The bat is excellent. Everyone on my daughter's team that has hit with it, LOVES it. My daughter is very small (around 57 pounds) and ha gotten several good hits with it. One went to the fence resulting in a 2 run RBI and a triple for her. My daughter's batting coach stated she loved it as well. Would definitely recommend it.
Cons:
Pros:
Cons: First CF5 (2012) lasted 10 months for my 12u daughter. Warranty replacement with 2013 CF5...lasted 2 months. No abuse, just used in soft toss, tee, and games. Happened to another 12u girl on the team also. Serious quality control issues. 12u girls shouldn't be breaking bats from normal use!
Pros: This bat is hot out the wrapper. I bought it for my 11 year old who had been struggling to get some good hits as she is fairly new at fast pitch softball. Now she connects on the sweet spot.
Cons: Price is a little steep but well worth the buy.
Pros: Great out the box. Have had this bat for about 6 tournaments and all the girls on the team are using it due to the pop!
Cons: The last game in the last tournament this past weekend it telescoped and we pulled it out and she used it the rest of the game.
Pros: Hot bat right from the start. Many girls have added this bat to their christmas lists.
Cons: None right now, will update if there is a change.
Pros: Great bat just wish it would have made it through one full travel season! It telescoped in the state tournament and my little girl was so upset we had to go to her back up bat which worked fine just could tell the difference!
Cons: Not to durable when it comes to travel ball playing in several games every weekend!
Pros: Has pop. Daughter got some great hits. Hot out of box.
Cons: busted after 2 tournaments...this was the replacement bat of the 2012 cf5...terrible
Pros: CF5, Hands down best bat on the market!!!!!!!!
Cons: Non
Pros: I bought this bat for my 9 year old (5' 3" and 90 lbs.). I bought her the 29/18. The bat is very lite and balanced, I probably should gotten her a 30/20. The balls rocket off this bat and it has greatly improved her distance she is able to hit. She is the best hitter on her team and it does make me nervous for the other teams' infield.
Cons: Infielders better be awake because they could get hurt by a ball off this bat.
Pros: The bat is hot out of wrapper.Daughter hit two Homeruns in her first Tournament.Great for slap hitters, very large sweet spot. Well balanced swings lighter than other bats.Team nickname bat Beast.
Cons: None yet
Pros: Tried out this bat today and bought it right on the spot. It has amazing pop to it! I can't wait to play a game with it.
Cons: None.
Pros: This bat is fantastic. I bought this bat in Feb. of this year and have used it in every game i've played. I was in a home run derby and hit every single one of them over the fence. I can never dream about using a different bat.
Cons: no cons that i have
Pros: This bat has tons of pop. My daughter moved up to the 33/22 and has been hammering the ball. Having a bat that maximizes the hitters strength is key to driving the ball. She loves this bat.
Cons: Too many neon yellow marks left on the barrel from crushing the ball! No cons at all...
Pros: has an amazing pop & always makes solid contact!
Cons: went through two cf5's, one being this one because it cracked. not too durable.
Pros: ok bat looks nice
Cons: Doesn't even come close to the pop my 14 year old daughter gets from her xeno.
Pros: Well Balanced Bat that has great pop out of the box. My older and younger daughter both use the same bat but different sizes and are very happy.
Cons: Dad had to buy it of course.LOL
Pros: The weight and the look
Cons: The length needs to be a little longer.
Pros: Good pop, nice balanced bat
Cons: Needs to be more durable. Cannot use in cold weather. Broke 2 already and now just use it for games only.
Pros: It's working great, you don't even have to swing hard and the ball flies.
Cons: None.
Pros: Have two of em 30/19 and 31/20. My DD favorite bat by far and probably the best bat available for smaller girls that can't yet swing a -10. Just broke her first gamer after almost a year of use and countless swings. Got a cf6 at the beginning of summer and it doesn't even compare in performance and was in two pieces after only 40 swings. Can't say enough good things about this bat.
Cons: None.
Pros: Definitely more pop/punch to every hit.
Cons: Getting use to how it feels when you hit it.
Pros: My 7 year old is the smallest on the team, and she is ripping the ball over 3rd base. A very HOT bat!!!
Cons: None
Pros: Bought the bat for my 10 year old daughter to use with her travel team. She hit a double the first at bat. The ball is popping off the bat. She loves it and so do her coaches. This bat is now the new favorite team bat, all the girls want to use it to hit.
Cons: nothing yet
Pros: Bat was pretty.
Cons: Lots of vibration in the bat on contact.
Pros: My now 16 year old daughter used this bat for two seasons and although this was our first foray into the composite bat arena and the expense, it was well worth the money as the ball flies off the bat. Her confidence has gone through the roof
Cons: Not really a con, by the CF5 is now in its 3rd year.

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
