The wood is denser than the northern white ash used in most traditional baseball bats. The result is a wood baseball bat which is less apt to break and exhibits more POP than ash bats. The SB59 ASA Approved softball bat is a long barreled bat with a long handle transitioning to a quick taper. The Handle is a thick 7/8 inch, small knob, and the barrel is 2 ¼ inch.
