The bat may not exceed 34" in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8" in diameter. Please recommend a 2 5/8" senior league (-10) bat. Here are the rules that need to be adhered to. Certain things to consider would be price point as well as balanced versus an end-loaded model (majority of half/half bats, or hybrids, will feature more of the end-loaded swing weight). For most 10 year olds, we suggest the 29" length. If you think the 19 oz weight of the 29" bat would be optimal, then I would recommend that size for sure. My son is 8, getting ready to turn 9, and has the Easton S3. He is not a big kid but can put power behind his swing and plays year round for a travel team. He dented his first S3 in just a couple months. It has been replaced and we have had his new one for roughly 3 or 4 months and you can feel dents starting again. We do not use the bat in the cold and doesn't get used for anything other than batting practice or games. What bat would you recommend for him and want to stay with a 28 and 2 5/8 barrel since he is only 64 pounds. We need something a little more durable. Before getting the S3 he had a COMBAT and it had to be replaced because his first one cracked from hitting. Luch
