Questions and Answers
Got a question about the 2013 DeMarini Flipper: DXFLS Slow Pitch? Ask our team of experts, and they will respond within 24 hours.
Ask A QuestionWhich bat will hit the .44/375 balls further: The FU-Dawg or the Flipper?
The 2013 DeMarini Flipper: DXFLS Slow Pitch bat features the 2004 ASA stamp and is designed for use with the higher compression softballs like the .44 COR. Bats with the new ASA stamp would still work for the high compression balls, but are more susceptible to damage.
Is it good to roll or shave this bat in a league that uses 52/300 balls?
We recommend that you do not roll the 2013 DeMarini Flipper: DXFLS Slow Pitch. Rolling and shaving is not only illegal, but would void the 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty. The Flipper is designed to perform with high COR low compression balls.
Why does a 2013 model have a 2004 ASA stamp rather than the previous or current stamp? Also, would you recommend the 2013 Flipper or the 2013 FU-Dawg (which as been tested under the new ASA guidelines for higher performance) for this coming season?
The DeMarini Flipper was manufactured before they started making the new stamp. The bat will still be legal for ASA. The 2013 DeMarini The ONE FU-Dawg: DXONE and the 2013 DeMarini Flipper: DXFLS are similar in design and performance. The 2013 DeMarini Flipper is designed for high COR low compression balls.
Product Description
New for 2013! When they said there was no magic bat, they lied. DeMarini is out to make perhaps its biggest splash ever in slow pitch softball. The all new DeMarini Flipper gives players optimum performance when hitting the new ASA low compression .52/300 balls! The Flipper achieves the pinnacle of high performance using an unconventional design with brand new technologies. The Flipper is built for power, as it features an ultra-stiff handle made from DeMarini's strongest metal, SC4 Alloy. The end-loaded barrel is constructed with Divergence technology that is exclusive to the DeMarini Flipper. With this design, two layers of composite materials sandwich an air gap to create a super responsive sweet-spot with maximum performance for High COR Low Compression balls! Not only is the sweet spot of the Flipper responsive, it measures in at a whopping 10 INCHES! This barrel design has never been tried before and is drawing rave reviews from players that have experienced it. Further increasing the responsiveness of the sweet spot and the stiffness of the bat, the Flipper features DeMarini's concave Dish End Cap that drives energy right toward the sweet spot for ultimate trampoline effect. As with all DeMarini bats, the Flipper has a Rotation Index near the end cap to remind players to rotate their bat for an even break-in. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The Flipper is approved for play in ASA. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
About DeMarini

The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini.... read more
