Ask A QuestionI want to buy a DeMarini Vexxum -11. The 2012 Vexxum is $100 cheaper than the 2013 Vexxum. What does the 2013 Vexxum have that the 2012 model does not?
The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum: DXVNL Youth has the same C6 composite in the handle as the 2012 model, but the alloy has been upgraded from the SC4 to the X10 Alloy between years.
I am trying to decide which bat to get, the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum: DXVNL youth or the 2013 DeMarini CF5 DXCFL youth. I weigh around 85 pounds at 5 feet, I am 12 years old. I was wondering if you could point out the differences between the two and which might be better for me? Thank you in advance
The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum: DXVNL Youth is a two-piece, alloy barrel bat with a composite handle. The 2013 DeMarini CF5 DXCFl Youth is a two-piece full composite bat. Composite materials are an upgrade from alloy and are more expensive. The DeMarini CF5 is top of line in the industry for being on of the most balanced bats around.
As far as the extended barrel goes which is bigger this bat or Easton's XL2?
Both have extended barrels with large sweetspots, but the Easton XL2 barrel will be just slightly more extended than the DeMarini Vexxum.
Product Description
New for 2013! The Half and Half bat that put DeMarini on the map returns this season and it's as mean as ever! Players have been crushing the ball for years with their DeMarini Vexxum due to its heavy-hitting, high-quality design. The Vexxum's power starts with the C6 Composite handle that has a wider weave and stiff feel for the powerful feel you desire while still maintaining a light swing weight. Joined to the C6 handle is an aluminum barrel constructed from DeMarini's new X10 Alloy. X10 features a proprietary blend of alloy agents and is finely tuned to give the Vexxum the thinnest, lightest, and strongest barrel walls possible. Its Longbarrel design gives the Vexxum the largest possible hitting surface so that players can do the maximum amount of damage swinging the bat. The sweetspot on the X10 Alloy Longbarrel is enhanced through the use of Half and Half technology that provides a burst of ball-launching energy every time contact is made. The end result of this design is MAD POP. The Vexxum is topped off with an N2M End Cap that is scientifically tuned to absorb vibration so that players can swing away and never be slowed down. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The Vexxum is approved for play in Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony, AABC, and USSSA. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
About DeMarini
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini.... read more
