Ask A QuestionMy daughter is 8 years old, 4' and 60 lbs. She has been swinging a Anderson KFP 28"/17 oz. She is a great contact hitter but struggles with bat speed. I think it's because her bat is a little end loaded. She has swung a FS3 that is a heavier weight and she says it seems lighter. What is your recommendation for a new bat?
The 2013 Easton FS3: FP13S3 Fastpitch is a great one-piece composite option that is well balanced. The 2013 DeMarini Vendetta C6: DXVCF Fastpitch is another well balanced option that is a two-piece composite in a -12 length to weight ratio.
Daughter is 9 and about 4' 4" 61 lbs. Her current bat is 28" 16 oz. -12 (COMbat), and I'm looking to transition her into the 29" 17.5 oz. FS3 for the next year or so in 10u. Is that the right choice for her? She is a contact line drive hitter.
The 2013 Easton FS3: FP13S3 Fastpitch is a great choice for a contact hitter, as it's very balanced. Increasing the length by 1-2" weight by 1-2 oz. in a year is a natural transition, so the 29" should be a good fit for her.
