Can this bat be used with kenko balls? Which bat do you think is better for the kenko ball, the EASTON Typhoon or the TPX Armor?
The 2013 Easton Typhoon: YB13TY Youth bat and the Louisville Slugger TPX Armor: YB12A Youth bat are both able to be used with the Kenko balls.
I have a son playing rec baseball and we are deciding between the Typhoon and Magnum. The guy at Dick's Sporting Goods basically said the only real difference is the "cooler" appearance of the Typhoon, and the Magnum is nearly half the cost of the Typhoon.
The 2013 Easton Typhoon: YB13TY Youth uses a higher quality 7046 Aircraft Alloy than the 2013 Easton Magnum: YB13MG Youth, but they will perform at similar levels. The Typhoon will be two oz. lighter than the Magnum, as it's a -12 rather than a -10.
Product Description
New for 2013! There's a certain standard of quality that people know they're getting with Easton little league baseball bats. That's why this year's models feature the Easton name even more prominently than the name of the bat itself. When fielders see you out there with your Easton bat, they'll know they better take a step back. Wash away any thoughts of a sub-par hitting performance this season. The Easton Typhoon is set to make another huge impact on youth baseball again this year. Designed to combine durability and performance with an unbeatable price, this bat is sure to be in players' bags for years to come. The Typhoon is constructed using Easton's proven 7046 Aircraft Alloy. This is one of the most durable alloys that Easton uses, and you'll be shocked at how much pop you'll get from a bat under $50. The extended barrel on the Typhoon features Easton's massive sweet spot technology to ensure that players have the largest possible hitting area to allow them to get more out of each and every swing! The Typhoon has an ultra-thin 29/32" handle that is wrapped with a VRS cushioned grip that significantly reduces vibration and allows players to grip and control their bat like never before. Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference! The Typhoon is approved for play in Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony, AABC, and features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
