Questions and Answers
Got a question about the 2013 Easton XL2: YB13X2 Youth? Ask our team of experts, and they will respond within 24 hours.
Ask A QuestionMy son is turning 9 years old. He is 4'8, 67 lbs. He used an omen 28" 16 oz. this past season that was probably a little small for him. Would an XL at 29 inches work for him or could it be too heavy? How about the Speed Series at 29" or 30" inches?
The 2013 Easton XL2: YB13X2 Youth is slightly end loaded and will feel similar to the Easton Omen. The Easton S1 is more balanced than the 2013 Easton XL2: YB13X2 Youth, and is best suited for a player who needs to increase their bat speed. Based on his height and weight we recommend a 29" bat.
What is the difference between the Easton XL1 and the Easton XL2?
The 2013 Easton XL2: YB13X2 Youth bat is a two-piece hybrid with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Easton XL1 is two-piece fully composite design. Both feature end loaded swing weights.
My son is 4'11" & 90lbs. He swings a 30" COMbat B3 senior for travel, but needs a Little League bat. Is the S series or XL1 a better fit and balance to what he's used to?
The 2013 Easton XL2: YB13X2 Youth is an end loaded bat. The Easton S1 is a balanced bat like the COMbat B3.
Product Description
New for 2013! The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, and S3). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The XL2 is approved for play in Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony, AABC, and features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty.
