He's 12 year old and one of the smallest on the team at 4'8" and 85 lbs. Should the length stay at 30"? Would the Marucci Black 2 work, or an end loaded bat like the Easton XL1?
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2013 Marucci Black 2: MSBB25 Senior League bat. The Easton XL1 is a good bat, but I would recommend a more balanced model for a player who is making a significant increase in weight.
