Pros: FIRST SWING OUT OF THE PLASTIC WAS A 310FT HR. IF I DIDN'T KNOW BETTER I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THIS WAS A USSSA BAT. TONS OF POP AND A LARGE SWEET SPOT. Cons:I WOULD SAY PRICE BUT ALL TOP END BATS COST ABOUT THE SAME. SO, NONE. I'M ABOUT 350 SWINGS INTO THIS BAT AND LOVE IT.

Pros: This bat feels nice out of the wrapper and has some decent pop. Not sure how it feels broken it since it broke after 15 swings, in 70degree weather. Cons:Broke during first tournament played.

2013 Worth 454 Mutant: SB4MXA Slow Pitch review by aircuellar
Pros: Looks AMAZING. Great color scheme and design of the look from grip, handle to barrel. Cons:The handle of this two piece bat separated from the barrel and now slides all the way up to the cap. This happened on the first practice using a 6 gallon bucket of Worth ASA softballs. Because of your policy, "Worth will provide a one time bat repair or replacement", I do not feel confident that a replacement will make it through my upcoming Spring season. This is a really expensive bat to only last a single practice. I would be much more confident in this single piece bat after my experience with the 454 MUTANT - SB4MXA. This was my first time owning and using a Worth bat. I was VERY excited about owning this new ASA Worth bat but it clearly did not live up to my expectations.

Where are you finding this information about the old 2000 and 2004 stamped bats becoming illegal for play after this year? I've asked our ASA league reps and they know nothing about it. I also can not find anything stating that on there website. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The 2013 Worth 454 Mutant: SB4MXA Slow Pitch bat does contain the new ASA stamp. You can find an update about the new stamps at the following link: http://www.justbats.com/blog/index.php/2837/new-amateur-softball-association-bat-certification-mark-for-2013.

What is the difference in the sb4mxa and the sb4ma?

The 2013 Worth 454 Mutant: SB4MXA has the brand new ASA stamp and is approved for play in ASA only for 2013 and beyond. The 2013 Worth 454 Mutant ASA: SB4MA has the old ASA stamp and is approved for play in ASA until the end of 2013. After that, the SB4MA will be illegal in ASA.

About Worth

Worth Worth, Inc. can trace its beginning back to the year 1912, when George Sharp Lannom, Jr. purchased a tannery in Tullahoma, Tennessee and established the Lannom Manufacturing Company. Initially, the firm tanned leather for harnesses and horse collars they manufactured. However, as the automobile grew in popularity, the demand for the company's harnesses and collars declined, so Lannom shifted its manufacturing resources toward production of leather covered baseballs and softballs under the "Worth" brand, and men's leather dress gloves under the "Craig" brand.
