2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch review by Firebird17
Pros: Bought this bat last week for my daughter to replace her 1.5 year old Worth 454 legit light. She is 11 years old and 70 lbs., so it is hard to find a good bat for her to use in travel ball. So glad DeMarini came out with this drop 11, we got the 30/19 and she will still get about 2 years out of it. As a coach, I cannot stand a girl trying to swing a bat that is too big against 50+ mph pitches. My daughter fell in love with this bat at first sight and swing! She has been jacking the ball in the outfield and hitting nice line drives and hot grounders. In less than a week, she has at least 100 hits on it and you would never know it was right out of the wrapper! She also commented that it does not hurt as bad when you hit one off of the end like other bats. Thank you so much Demarini for finally making an amazing, well balanced bat for every age and size! Cons:The price was something to ponder over, but once I see how much my daughter loves this bat and is hitting just as well as any other girl on the field, the cost is not a concern!

Pros: Bought the 2012 and 2013 CF5 -11. The 2012 was the hotter bat compared to the 2013 model. The new CF6 is a very impressive bat. Watching my daughter hit with it makes me believe it is hotter then the 2012. She is tall but has a small frame and can easily bring her hands through the zone with more bat speed and power. The ball flies off the bat for deep line drives. Cons:Hope they fixed the durability with this model and will last longer then the 2012 CF5.

Pros: My daughter is 8, she has a CF5 and CF6. She gained about 10 to 15 yards and harder line drives. Went from barley hitting grass to putting them about 15 yards into it. Cons:Price wasn't great.

My daughter plays H.S. ball as a freshman. She is not big (5' 2" and 117 lbs). She has extremely quick hands, but is not real powerful. She owns this bat, but a CF5 model from a year ago. She likes the bat still, but I know it will soon wear out. Do you think she should look into a -10? How much difference is there between the Insane's swing since it's end loaded?

The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat will have a very balanced swing weight; much like the CF5 model that she currently swings. The end load in the Insane model is definitely noticeable when compared to the other CF6 models. That end loaded swing weight is really designed for the high swing speeds of power hitters. If she has quick hands, but generally hits line drives, you may be better-off with a balanced model like the CF5 she has. The end load is not for everyone, and I would not trade the end load for bat speed. The length to weight ratio that a player chooses comes down to what they are most comfortable swinging. My daughter is 12 years old, 5' 2" tall, and weighs 85 pounds. Her current bat is a 2010 DXCFP CF4 30" 20 oz. What CF6 would you recommend?

Based on results from our Bat Coach tool (http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/), we would recommend a 31" model of the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat.

My daughter weighs 175 and is 5'5" but does not have great bat speed. Would you recommend the 33" (-11)? CF6 or something different?

The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is a very balanced bat. It would be a great option for a player who needs to increase their bat speed.

Product Description

New for 2014! It's never too early to start crushing the ball! For the younger players that are taking their game seriously, DeMarini introduces their lightest CF6 of the season - the DXCFS. The CF series has been among the most popular bats on the softball field over the past several seasons. This year's CF6 is the hottest composite fastpitch bat out of the wrapper that DeMarini has ever produced. That's due to the all new Paradox Composite barrel and handle on this two-piece design. Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! The Paradox handle is designed stiff so that players can get an even better feel for the sweet spot, while continuing to produce a powerful, consistent swing. The CF6 features Stacked Double Wall Construction that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. At the end of the barrel, a Clutch End Cap dampens vibration for an incredibly smooth swing. If you've got a promising future and want a punishing present, it's the CF6 or nothing! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The CF6 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

About DeMarini

DeMarini In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater." In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini.... read more
