BIG BOMBER
Pros: Great pop. I have the 29/19 and I hit the ball hard. I think it is best for contact hitters but good for all. Love this bat.
Cons: none
JaguarSam
Pros: So far the bat is great, my son is swinging it like crazy. He is a contact hitter and the balance of this bat compared to other DeMarini's is perfect for him. This is his first two piece composite and he is really noticing less sting in his hands. He moved from a Louisville Catalyst, and the pop from this bat is much better.
Cons: None so far.
ZMan
Pros: Excellent bat, great construction.
Cons: None so far. Have used in 5 games and 10-15 practices.

Pros: Excellent pop, very balanced - my son is 40 lbs. soaking wet - he loves this bat. I would recommend this bat to parents looking for a senior league big barrel bat.
Cons: My son asks me to take him to the park every day to practice - I guess that is not a con, but a positive.

Pros: Great bat! My son plays 10u; & is smaller in size. He is a contact/drive hitter. Had the bat for final tourney of the season. He went from 8th to 5th in Batting Order; & had highest ave of the tourney for his team; after getting the Vexxum. Increased bat speed & great feel. He experienced faster bat speed; & better sweetspot contact.Ball jumps off bat. Highly recommend! Great price too!

Parent Denise parent
Pros: Great bat. Lots of pop.
Cons: My son is 8 and 65 lbs. He can hit with this bat but the end load is a little heavy for him and you can see when he swings it throws him off balance a bit. This is a bat he will grow into. He loves it. It is just a bit too heavy for him right now. He has the 28" -10, 18 oz. The coach is having him choke up on the bat. I am going to buy him another bat and save this one for when he grows into it.
pop the man player
Pros: i have used it in 2 travel baseball games and so far have went 6-6
Cons: none
Added Swing Speed TB22 coach
Pros: Great Pop, Increased Swing Speed My boy is a 9U travel player who has used Easton and DeMarini bats in the past and the 50/50 makeup of this bat has resulted in a noticeable increase in swing speed and power. The barrel size may not be as long as some, however, this bat is a rocket. He has named it the Blue Bomber.
Cons: None at this time
Great POP!! Josh parent
Pros: crazy pop, nice sound. bought 4 my 11 yr old and he loves it. the ball just leaps off the bat

Pros: Great balance, My son loves the way the ball pops off of this bat. All of the kids on the team want to have this bat now.
Cons: None right now, still being cautious because the last -10 bat my son had, cracked badly after only use for one month. The bat was a different brand and the bat wall was very thin compared to this bat.

2014 DXVXR Vexxum Raul parent

Baseball dad Jim coach
Pros: Had the rip it 30/20, 2 3/4 sent it back within 30 day trial period. Got this bat to use in colder weather when the CF5 can't be used. My twin 9 year old boys love this bat. (almost as much as CF5) Very we'll balanced bat, with a ton of pop right out of wrapper. Took about 200 hundred hit off tee to break in. Gonna stick with DeMarini for now on! Never have had a bad experience with any of our DeMarini products (2 1/4 Voodoo, 2 1/4 CF5, 2 5/8 CF5, and now 2 5/8 Vexxum) can't wait for the CF6 to be released!
Cons: None
DeMarini 2014 Best Bat! Jalen player
Pros: It has lots of pop, if you accidently hit it off the handle you can't feel a thing. The 1st time I used it I hit a stand up double in the left center gap 220 feet and I am only a 75lb 11 year old!
Cons: None

great BOBBIE SANDOVALLY player
Pros: i have used this bat for 12 games and have already hit 4 over the fence the bat has great pop, a cool design, and is all around easy to handle and swing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: EVERYBODY WANTS TO USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great bat AJ player
Pros: my son loves the bat ,no complaints. appears to have good pop and very little to no vibration.
Cons: none
Not impressed Crazy DAD coach
Pros: Very little if any vibration. Used 2 months and seems very durable.
Cons: This bat is not what it says it is. BALANCED? No.. It's not as end loaded as voodoo but swing the CF5 then tell me it's balanced. Very small sweet spot. This barrel is really short on the senior league. Not much pop. My son struggle with it. I thought it was him then I had our biggest hitter swing it and the ball went no where. My son then tried his buddies CF5 andS3, he started killing the ball.
Not worth it Aaron Matthews player
Pros: This bat had a nice sweet spot and good pop for the month now it's dead.
Cons: Very small sweet spot if any. Warranty covers only visible damage so I'm out of luck. Will ever by another DeMarini, 2nd bat that had issues. Trying Easton now hoping for better luck.
demarini vexxum review baseball junkie parent
Pros: good balance and no vibration. descent pop.
Cons: wish id spent another 20 bucks and went with a rip-it. they are the best bat on the market.
Great deal!! Jerry coach
Pros: Bat has great pop, and a nice solid feel to it. Best bat I have seen for the price, ever. Son play's competitive travel-ball at the 13u level. He loves his bat.
Cons: Really not any.
The proof is in the numbers Mel coach
Pros: My 12-year old son plays for a travel team and has always been considered a singles/gap-type hitter. This season, in the 8 games before using the bat=zero doubles. In the 4 games since=4 doubles (just missed his first homer by an inch).
Cons: None so far!
Wow Bones player
Pros: Ball jump I've been hitting farther when I got it
Cons: No none
best bat EVER Noah player
Pros: I usued this bat in BP. The first swing i took was a one hop to the wall. Everything about the bat is the best i have ever seen. I recomend this bat to every player.
Cons: absoulutely nothing
2014 deMarini vexxum will c player
Pros: this bat has a lot of pop, it can hit balls really far, it is an all around good bat. I have had it for a couple months and it has a few scuffs but it is in great shape. I would really recommend this bat to anyone who is looking for a nice, balanced, durable bat.
Cons: none really but, it does scratch really easy, it also feels heavy at first but after a few games it feels real good.one thing i've noticed was not that many people wan't to use it(maybe because i'm not a good hitter).
Great Bat SovietUnionNinja player
Pros: this bat is absolutely wonderful. I've used this bat for probably half a season, and already I'm hitting to the fences! Also, the design is sick!
Cons: It gives me a feeling after reading the message from DeMarini that it's sort of fragile, and I wish the other design (the white and blue one) wasn't in BBCOR only!
this bat griffin player
Pros: It has a lot of pop. it feels very well. also the sound that it has is different then the one that justbats have
Cons: stings your hands
Matt matt player
Pros: I have used the previous vexxum and loved it. When i saw the new 2014 vexxum i knew that i had to get my hands on it. I have used it all year and love it. the pop on this bat is incredible. i really do like the balance and control that you get with this bat. it swings fast and quick. The vibration will this bat is little to none. For the price of this bat and what you get for it is amazing. If you are on the edge i would defiantly recommend this bat
Cons: Paint job is so nice its a shame when you get it all scratched up
Great bat! Chuck R. coach
Pros: i bought the 30inch/20oz 2 5/8 bat for my 9 year old nephew for Christmas. This was his first year of kid pitch and he has been hitting well with it. Also ended up buying him the 2 1/4 inch as well. We've played 48 games and the bats have great pop still as we have our last Championship game today. Nice balance allows for good bat speed. Our power hitter has the same bat and both boys will end the season batting over .400.
Cons: I can't say anything bad about this bat. The people who complain about scratches are just silly. If you're the bat its going to get scuffed up regardless of what brand or bat.
The MAGIC bat!!!!! MeredithB. parent
Pros: I can't tell you how excited my son was to receive this bat for his birthday. The first hit he got was a high fly ball out of anyone's reach! Not too shabby for a contact hitter! :)
Cons: None!
Amazng POP Cody player
Pros: Great pop, it jumps off the bat. No vibration. I have hit the fence(320) easy and it was a team favorite. Very good BAT
Cons: The handles grip started coming off. Go to dicks and get some lizard skin if it falls off.
awsome bat Luke player
Pros: It's very light and is very well made
Cons: None so far
Worst $200+ I've ever spent Dale Christensen coach
Pros: Not much
Cons: They missed it on this one.

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
