NVS sounds like "envious" - and that's exactly how you're going to make any player feel that doesn't have the new Vexxum BBCOR. The power of the Vexxum NVS does not come from strength or speed, but from the two of them combined. With DeMarini's New Velocity System (NVS) barrel design, this bat is now THE LIGHTEST swinging BBCOR on the market in terms of M.O.I.! Two years in the making, this innovative barrel design is geometrically perfect and does not use rings or inserts to meet BBCOR standards. It's made from finely-tuned X10 Alloy to give it an explosive sweet spot, and powerful, responsive performance. The two-piece Vexxum NVS also features a C6 Composite handle that is specially designed to work in conjunction with the single wall NVS barrel. The wider weave of DeMarini's C6 Composite creates more flex for an unparalleled trampoline effect when you make contact with the ball! The Vexxum NVS BBCOR baseball bat is designed with the cornerstone of DeMarini's bat technology - Half + Half construction - that makes YOU stronger. It's topped off with a lightweight N2M End Cap that is specifically modified for the NVS barrel to allow players to achieve MAXIMUM swing speed! If you want to ramp up your swing speed and generate more power, get the bat that's at the top of its class - the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! Pros: Straight out of the box this was a great looking bat. I really like Demarini's choice of color this year. In the cage this bat was magnificent. First off, the 2014 Vexxum is easily the lightest swinging BBCOR on the market. Second of all, the ball flies off the barrel smoothly and goes quite the distance. All in all, this is a very good bat that I would recommend buying

Cons: The tape at the top of the handle is peeling. Nothing some athletic tape wont fix though

BaseballFreakk2

Pros: Extreme pop. This is the lightest swinging BBCOR made. This results in faster swing speeds, which generates more power. The composite handle reduces stinging. I love this bat! Compared this to the Easton S2, and this is by far better than the S2! Another good bat by Demarini. Stop looking and just get it.

Cons: It might get a little dirty since there is a white handle and barrel, but just wash it and it will be clean again.

Pros: Really good bat, worth the money! My son turns 13 this summer and is a smaller kid. With this bat, he really tears it up. He has turned into a doubles machine. For a -3, this bat is really light weight and has good balance.

Cons: The only negative would be the white does get dirty fast, but this is baseball and the bat is white.

Pros: This is an amazing bat right out of the wrapper. I hit bombs with it and now everyone wants to use it! I like the 2 piece design and it hits great. When I was buying it I was concerned about the barrel size but my worries were soon gone.

Cons: When you get it off the handle it doesn't do very well but you can expect that from most/all bats and I hit it on the barrel most of the time anyways

Pros: First off I'm going to tell you not to be fooled by the picture or the price tag. Although the barrel may look small, the sweetspot on this bat is just as big as the Voodoo's. Pros: BUY THIS BAT NOW. i got this bat a few days ago and had a game with it. out team faced the best pitcher weve seen all year. im a small kid so -3 have always been a challenge. i went 3 for 3 on this kid. i was the only one to get on base for our team all game. it was because of the swing speed and pop that comes along with this bat. i used to get nervous around fast pitchers but now i go up with confidence thanks to this bat.

Wow Stefan R player

Pros: I'm a freshman baseball player on my jv baseball team, and i bought this bat.i got my first at bat, and on the 4th pitch thrown to me,I cracked a double off of a curve ball that was low and out of the strike zone.So for the rest of the game, i got hits.I was 3 for 3 and then i came in the 7th inning with a walkoff chance(keep in mind,I'm a contact hitter). The first pitch thats thrown is inside, and as soon as i made contact,I knew the ball was gone. So if you're struggling and you need a new bat, buy this one!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVXC? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Which bat is more balanced and has more pop, the 2013 RIP-IT BBCOR AIR or the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR bat? KG
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult would be more balanced and feel a lot lighter. The pop would be very similar though.
Chad M.
Is this bat much better then the 2012 or 2013 DeMarini Vexxum? Also, does the light feel to this bat effect the power it generates? Connor
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult has the new NVS barrel for maximum swing speed. Speed will add power to your swing.
Chad M.
How does this compare to the 2013 Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR, in terms of pop, balance, etc. MS
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult will be the lightest swinging BBCOR bat on the market. It will also have a bigger sweet spot.
Chad M.
Why is this bat considered extremely balanced with a very low M.O.I when the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum has the same materials for the barrel handle and End Cap, it says the only difference is the NVS barrel tuning. Does that really make that big of a difference and the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum is one of the most balanced bats right? M
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult will feel a lot lighter then last years model. The balance will be the same but when you swing it you will be able to tell that it is easier to swing,
Chad M.
What are the differences between this and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo? crazed fan
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is a balanced bat. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR: DXVDC Adult is end loaded.

Both the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat and the Easton S2 will be designed the same. DeMarini is also saying the 2014 NVS is the lightest BBCOR bat currently on the market. Either bat would be a great choice.
Brandon
I'm 15 about 5'10" and 150 lbs. and I'm looking for a new DeMarini BBCOR bat and I've narrowed it down to 2 bats the 2013 M2M and the 2014 Vexxum. I wanted to know some good comparisons? jason gerstner
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat is a two-piece hybrid design with a balanced swing weight and the DeMarini M2M is a two-piece fully alloy design with an extended barrel. The following is a link for further comparison http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Aubrey
Both the 2013 M2M and 2014 Vexxum are good bats. For my personal use, the m2m has more of a power hitter type make-up, seeing that it is more end heavy. The 2014 vexxum is more for contact hitters.
Benji
I have plenty of bat speed. Would the 2013 CF5 or the 2014 Vexxum NVS be a better bat for me? grbaseball16
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult and DeMarini CF5 are both very balanced, two-piece models and create good bat speed. The NVS would be a bit lighter swinging, but the decision would ultimately come down to the barrel material you prefer.
Mac
I've used the 2011 and 2012 Vexxums, and I loved the fact that I could get fooled on a pitch but still slap a hard single because of the power of the barrel (unlike the S2). Will this bat offer the same thing? Jimmy
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat should still offer the same balance of speed and power. The barrel design is made to make it lightweight, but still has a large sweet spot for added power.
Robert

I have been determining whether to get the Demarini Vexxum or the CF5. I'd go with the Vexxum no doubt, but the only problem I have is that it is an alloy bat. I was wondering how long the bat would last me if I used it for highschool play or if I should just go with the CF5 because it will last me longer? Ncarlos
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult has top of the line Alloy in the barrel and Composite in the handle. It is a great bat and will last just as long as the DeMarini CF5.

Damon
Why is this bat so much cheaper than the Voodoo? Is there a big difference in performance between the two bats? john
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat is designed for a contact hitter, so the C6 composite in the handle provides more flex and trampoline effect for players with average swing speeds. The 2014 Voodoo features their newest composite material, Paradox Composite, in the handle for a stiffer flex. They are both BBCOR certified, so any difference in performance would be due to one bat fitting your hitting style better than the other.
Mac

If my son wants to use a BBCOR bat just for 1 year. He has not tried a full composite bat before, should he get a Voodoo, Vexxum, or CF6? sfbball
The DeMarini CF6 is going to be the two-piece full composite of the three models. The Vexxum and Voodoo are two-piece bats but will have an alloy barrel and composite handle.
John
What is the difference between this and the 2013 M2M in performance? adam
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat will feature a composite handle and an alloy barrel. It is super balanced in swing weight. The M2M from 2013 will have an alloy handle and an alloy barrel, or metal to metal from where it gets its name.
Brandon
I'm a first year BBCOR user and a contact hitter. Should I get the Vexxum NVS or the CF6? sfbball
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat would be a great choice for a first time BBCOR bat user. It is super balanced in swing weight. It also will not require any period of break-in. The 2014 CF6 features a two-piece composite design. It will also be very balanced. Either bat would be a great choice.
Brandon
Is the Vexxum balanced the same way or similar to the Voodoo? PapaBarks
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult has a balanced swing weight and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR: DXVDC Adult has an end loaded swing weight.
Jason
How does this bats end load compare to the DeMarini Voodoo's? anon
The DeMarini Vexxum is a one of the most balanced BBCOR bats on the market and is not end loaded like the DeMarini Voodoo.
Damon
When does the 2015 Vexxum come out? anon
We do not have a set date for the 2015 DeMarini Vexxum. Based on the history of DeMarini's past release dates, I would anticipate some of the 2015 models to be available in the Spring of 2014.
Justin R.
I have heard the new bats need to be broken in. How is this done? Don
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult has an alloy barrel and does not require a break-in period. Composite barrel bats do require a break-in period and you can check out how to properly break-in composite bats here http://www.justbats.com/blog/index.php/3789/breaking-in-your-composite-baseball-bat/
Jason
Which bat is better? The Easton S1 or the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR. carlos
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult and the Easton S1 are both balanced, two-piece bats. Both have great pop. Either one would be a great choice.
Kara
I'm 5'8" and about 150 pounds. What length should I get? Andy
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult.
Jason
Hi, I currently own the 2012 Demarini Vexxum BBCOR. Is the new 2014 bat most like that one? Or is there another one more like it? Either 2013, or 2014 model preferably? D.P.
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is a balanced bat compared to the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum. The 2013 Vexxum is slightly end loaded and would be most comparable to the 2012 Vexxum.
Kara
My son is 14, 5'8", and 130lbs. He wants the 2014 Vexxum. Should he get a 31 or a 32? marty
For a player with that height and weight we would recommend a 31" 28oz. Check out our Bat Coach feature for all of your sizing needs. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
John
Is the only difference between this bat and the Voodoo is the way the weight is distributed? ryan555
There are several differences between the two bats. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is a more balanced bat than the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR: DXVDC Adult. The Voodoo uses different composite materials in the handle for a stiffer feel.
Kara
What's the difference if any from the M2M? I'm a power hitter. Just bought M2M in the spring of 2013. Goose
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barre. The DeMarini M2M is a two-piece alloy bat. It is stiffer and slightly end loaded, better suited for a power hitter.
Kara
Is the composite handle longer than normal bats? CF
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult has an average size composite handle.
Kara
Is the Vexxum NVS lighter than the CF6 or MAKO? That Guy Who Asked A Question
DeMarini claims the Vexxum NVS is the lightest swinging bat on the market. The swing weight is lighter than the DeMarini CF6 and the CF6 and the Easton MAKO have comparable swing weights.
Jason
Im 5'8" 210 lbs and I recently got surgery on my hand. It can be hard at times to hold the bat. Is this bat light enough for me? Do you prefer the Vexxum or the Voodoo? LilReg
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult is one of the lightest swinging BBCOR bats on the market. The Voodoo swings heavier than the Vexxum because it has an end loaded swing weight.
Jason
I am 14 years old, 5'10" and 155 lbs. I am thinking about this bat. Would you recommend this bat for me? Also, is it legal for Little League Juniors and Seniors play? GarBear
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is a very balanced bat with a lot of pop. It would be a great option for you. Yes, this bat meets BBCOR certification and would be legal for Little League Juniors and Seniors.
Justin R.
My son is age 13 5'4" 115 lbs and needs a drop 3. I'm considering the Vexxum NVS BBCOR DXVXC 31" 28 oz. Would this be a good size? Also, our league doesn't allow composite bats. The barrel is aluminum so I think I should be fine. What are your thoughts? JR
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is a great choice. The balanced feel is great for a player making the transition to a BBCOR bat. Based on his height and weight we recommend a 30" to a 31" bat.
Kara
I am 14 5'8" 127 pounds and was wondering if this would be a good bat, or would the Easton S1 be a better bat for high school baseball? Baseball123
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR ( DXVXC) is an excellent choice. The balanced, two-piece design is ideal for a contact hitter.
Kara
My son is 15 yrs old, 5'10" and 175 lbs. Would a 32" 29 oz. be good for him or the 31" 28 oz.? Rick M
Based on his height and weight we recommend a 33" 30 oz. 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC).
Kara
I'm 13 years old, 4'11" and just came out of little league. I made my schools baseball team and I need a BBCOR bat. Would this be a good choice? Baseball002
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat would be an ideal choice for a new BBCOR bat hitter at your size. It will be very balanced and have a lightweight feel.
Brandon
Can you use this bat in cold weather or will it damage it? brinkman
We do not recommend using any composite or alloy bats in under 55 degree weather. When it is below 55 degrees, the baseball becomes more dense and can damage the bat. The best option is a wood bat for when the temperatures are below 55 degrees.
Kelby
My son will be 15 in a couple of months and is 5 Ft 8 " and weights 130. I was looking at the 31`/28 OZ Vexxum or Voodoo. Sugestions on size and bat. Mike
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult features a more balanced swing weight than the DeMarini Voodoo. For a player that is your son's size, I would recommend the Vexxum 31" 28 oz to help increase bat speed.
Justin R.
I'm 13 years old, 5'0" tall, and I just ended Little League. I made my high school's baseball team. Would the DeMarini Vexxum NVS be a good bat? If so what size? JJ
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult is an excellent bat for somebody using a BBCOR bat for the first time. The best way to determine the correct size for a player is based on height and weight. However, a 13 year old typically uses a 32" model. For more sizing information check out our bat coach http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Jason
Where is the sweet spot located? Studly
The sweet spot on the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat will be located in the center of the barrel. It will stretch along the barrel word "DeMarini" and primarily be between the letters M and N located on the picture.
Brandon
Would you recommend this bat or the 2013 DeMarini CF5? Meek
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is a very balanced, easy to swing bat, with no break-in. I would definitely recommend this model.
Brandon
Differences between this and the S2? Which has the bigger sweet spot? cags
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult bat will be designed like the Easton S2. They both will feature a composite handle and an alloy barrel. Also, they both will swing very light weight and balanced. The sweet spots will be very similar.
Brandon
Which bat do you recommend: Vexxum NVS or the CF6? Why? ron
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult and the CF6 are both two-piece designs with balanced swing weights. The CF6 is a two-piece composite design and is the top of the line in performance from DeMarini. The CF6 features Paradox composite and a D-fusion handle that eliminates vibration. The Vexxum is one of the lightest swinging bats on the market, and is a hybrid design with an alloy barrel and composite handle.
Jason
which is better, this or the Louisville slugger assault? I am a contact hitter Andrew
Both the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult or the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault BBCOR (BBAS14-RR) would be a great choice for a contact hitter. Can't go wrong either way.
Aaron
For a contact hitter who prefers a balanced swing, would the 2014 Vexxum NVS or 2013 Rawlings VELO be a better choice? npedro11
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) would be a better option for you than the Rawlings VELO. The two-piece design of the Vexxum allows more flex when the ball makes contact with the barrel, which is ideal for contact hitter. Power hitters tend to prefer a one-piece design, such as the design featured in the Rawlings VELO.
Tessa L.
I'm 6'1 and 175 pounds. What length and weight of a bat should I get? Study
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 33" 30 oz. 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC).
Kara
I'm 6'6" and 155 pounds. Should I swing a 33/30 or 34/31? Jgotgame
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult.
Jason
I am 5'10" and 175 lbs. Should I use a 33 inch 30 ounce or 34 inch 31 ounce? RE12
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 33 inch 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC). However, if you are able to comfortably swing the 34 inch model, the heavier weight would allow for added power.
Patrick
Is this bat a little end loaded like the 2013 Vexxum? Also, how does this bat, the 2013 Vexxum, and the Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR compare to each other? I am a contact hitter with just a little below average strength. Which bat is best for me? Reaper
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is going to be a balanced bat. The Vexxum will be a little better for a contact hitter than the Rawlings 5150 because it is a two-piece bat. That will help give a little more trampoline effect off the barrel. So I would suggest the DeMarini Vexxum for a contact hitter like yourself.
Kelby
Should I be concerned that a bat that's $199.00 like the Vexxum isn't as good, won't hold up as long or won't hit the ball as far as say the CF6, which is twice the price? I'm truly nervous about buying a less expensive bat. DeMarini fan
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: (DXVXC) is still a very quality bat. The difference in price is going to be in the different constructions of the bats. The Vexxum is a half and half bat where the CF6 is a full composite.
Jackson
I am 6' and weigh 150 pounds. My coach told me to get a 34" or 35" bat. What size do you recommend for this bat? Lahunterboy
We would recommend that your use a 33" bat at that size. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult would be a good choice in a 33".
Aaron
My son just started to use -3 bats. Which one would be better? The 32 inch Voodoo or 32 inch Vexxum? gily
Most players, especially when jumping up in weight, will use a balanced bat more efficiently than end loaded models. The Voodoo has a slightly end loaded swing weight so it will feel heavier during the swing than the 32" model of the Vexxum. This 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult bat is very balanced and makes a great choice for a player's first BBCOR bat.
Mac
Because of BBCOR restrictions, is there a difference in performance between an aluminum barrel or a composite barrel? I am not sure if I should get a hybrid bat or a full composite. Gap hitter
There is not a distinguished performance factor between the two barrel materials. Composites as well as Alloys can each be extremely effective and durable. Ultimately, the decision comes down to personal preference. Please don't hesitate to give any of our Customer Coaches a call at 1-866-321-2287. We are eager to help find the right bat for you.
Gary T.
Im 5 foot 5 and I weigh 135 pounds. Which size would you recommend?? Joey
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest the 31 inch model of the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult bat.
Patrick
Is there a performance difference between the Vexxum, the Voodoo, and the CF6? What makes them different? Hithit
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC), 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC), and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC) are all high performing bats that fall within BBCOR certification that indicates their performance capacity. The difference between them is their materials and weight. The Vexxum and the Voodoo are both two-piece hybrid designs that feature a composite handle and an alloy barrel. The difference is that the Vexxum is balanced and the Voodoo is end-loaded. The CF6 is a two-piece fully composite design. The barrel will require a break-in period that the Vexxum and Voodoo do not.
Patrick
Is this a popular, good, and high selling bat? Demarini
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVXC) is a very popular bat. It is one of the better two-piece hybrid bats that we have.
Zach
What is the difference between last year's model and this year's model? Kevin
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult bat is still composed of the X10 Alloy barrel and C6 Composite handle, but the bat's profile has been completely redesigned. The Vexxum NVS features the lowest swing weight of any Vexxum model. The new geometric shape of the NVS allows players to reach higher swing speeds without sacrificing sweet spot size.
Mac
I'm playing 14 select this year in Washington. I am 5'7" and 140 pounds. I hit for contact more than power. What bat would you recommend for me? baseball
The two-piece design of the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is designed for a contact hitter. It is a very balanced bat and performs very well.
Kara
What bat should I get. I'm 5'11 200 lb. power hitter. Also what size should I get? BigPoppy
I would recommend the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: (DXVXC) in a 33 inch 30 ounce.
Jackson
I am 14 years old, 5' 1" and 100 lbs. What bat would you recommend? I hit for contact and pop on the ball. cameron
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) will be a great option for you. This bat has the thickness tuned X10 alloy, which helps create significant pop. The Vexxum NVS is also insanely balanced, which helps you create even more bat speed.
Justin R.
Is the DeMarini Vexxum or Voodoo Paradox a better bat for a power hitter. What is the difference between the 2 bats? BballBruh
The Voodoo would be a better bat for a power hitter. The Paradox handle gives a stiff feel like a one-piece. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult has a balanced swing weight and more flex in the handle.
Aaron
Is this a drop -3 bat. bballjaxk
Yes the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is a -3 drop.
Kyle
Even though I am more of a power hitter, would this still be a good choice? ching
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult bat is a great design with excellent performance potential. The balanced design can be used by any type of hitter.
Patrick
What is the difference in this model, and the 2012 and 2013 Vexxums? I love the balance of the CF5. Wow will this one compare? jay19
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC is more balanced than the 2012 and 2013 Vexxum bats. It will be balanced like the CF5.
Kara
Which bat will have the most pop, least amount of sting, and the lightest swing weight: The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS or the Marucci Team bats? q
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is slightly more balanced than the Marucci Team. The composite material in the handle of the Vexxum will reduce vibration.
Kara
How big is the barrel? that one baller
The barrel size on the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC Adult) will be 2 5/8".
Brandon
Hello I am a 6'2", 180 pound freshman that hits for power. Is this a good bat for me? I am looking for a bat around $200.00. Mac Attack
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCO (DXVXC) is a very balanced bat. It is best suited for a contact hitter. We recommend an end loaded bat such as the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC).
Kara
My son is moving up to 13U travelled needs a BBCOR cert bat. He needs faster hands because he is more of a power hitter. Would the Vexxum be the best bat for him? He is moving out of a Voodoo... Thanks for the help-- Jeff
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) would not be the best bat for him if he is more of a power hitter. With being a power hitter you need to have a more end-loaded bat. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) bat would be a great fit for him. Also the 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB14X1) would be a great fit for you.
Kyle
I am 14 right now, 5'10", 140 pounds. I swing a 32" 29 oz. looking for a new bat. What size should I get? I am a four hitter for my team going to try out for high school next year. Lane
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" 29 oz. 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC).
Kara
I'm 4'8" 160 lbs., would this bat be good for me? I hit 4 in the lineup and I'm in select USSSA. swagyolo master
I recommend a 31 in. 28 oz. in the DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC). It would be a good bat for you if you are looking for the pop of an alloy barrel and the flex of the composite handle.
Zach
Do BBCOR bats have to say 1.15 BPF, or is it just the 0.50? Jake
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult bat will only feature the BBCOR .50 stamp. No BBCOR bat will also carry a BPF 1.15 stamp as they are two different performance certifications.
Mac
Im a 5' 7" 155lbs 13yr old and i have a rawlings 2013 velo. It is a 32/29 and i get around just fine with it but i tried my friends 32/29 voodoo today at practice and was late on everythiny except offspeed pitches. I love and alloy barrel, and have great bat speed. Do you recomend this bat and it what size. Nakina Mustangs Catcher/Tater
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) sounds like a great choice for you. It will be balanced like your VELO (BBVELO )and will swing lighter than the Voodoo (DXVDC). I would recommend the 32"/29 oz size for you as well.
Bobby
How does this bat compare to the 2013 Rawlings Velo? yo mama
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC) is a two-piece hybrid that will feature a alloy barrel and composite handle. The 2013 Rawlings Velo (BBVELO) is a one-piece alloy. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum (DXVXC) will have a little bit of an end-load feel to that bat along with more flex. The Rawlings Velo (BBVELO) will have a balanced swing weight. Both are high preforming bats and it really comes down to personal preference.
Zach
I just got one of these, does it need to be broken in? JG
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) features an alloy barrel that does not require a break-in period.
Patrick
I just started playing baseball, with that being said, I do not know much about baseball bats. What do I need to know about the Vexxum and bout bats in general? I also am a power hitter, so any recommendations for bats? Sweeney
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC) is going to be a more balanced bat. Balanced bats are what most players use. However, for power hitters we recommend a more slightly end loaded swing weight. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) would be a great bat for you.
Kyle
Is this bat approved for Babe Ruth? The rules state that bats have to be BBCOR 0.5 certified. Is that the same as BBCOR? Sweet Lou
Yes. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is BBCOR 0.5 certified. The 0.5 is an indication of the bat's performance potential and all BBCOR certified bats will be at that level.
Patrick
Im leadoff for the Jv team and im 5'7 and weigh 130. i have a Xl 1 and im always late.. is the vexxum a good choice for me because i want power too. Jay
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC) would be a great choice for you. It will be more balanced than the XL1 which means it will have a lighter swing weight.
Bobby
I do not know whether to get this DeMarini Vexxum NVS or the 2014 Voodoo Paradox. I am a contact hitter but in pictures the barrel of the Vexxum looks quite small compared to the Voodoo which is a big concern for me. However, this bat got great reviews. Which would you prefer for a contact hitter? Lead-off
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is designed for a contact hitter. The two-piece design and balanced feel is ideal for a contact hitter. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) is end loaded, and best for a power hitter.
Kara
Should get the Voodoo or Vexxum? I'm a contact hitter with some power behind my swing. batboy
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) would be the bat I recommend. The Voodoo is a line that is designed for power hitters exclusively. If you hit for both power and contact, the Vexxum will be the best bat for you.
Justin R.
I am 5' 1" and weigh 118 pounds. I play baseball for my school and during the summer. Do you think this is the bat for me? burido
If you consider yourself more of a contact hitter who prefers a lightweight and smooth bat I would suggest the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC)
Gary T.
Im 5'7'' 120 lbs. Im a first time bbcor user and I'm looking for a fast swing. I hit for power and contact. Would this be a good bat for me? Marshall
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC) would be a great BBCOR bat for you. It is very well balanced which will give you maximum bat speed and the two piece design allows you create more whip through the zone.
Bobby
My son's coach informed me that this year"s 14U team will compete using the CHSSA rule book. That means a CHSSA sanctioned bat is no more than a drop 3 (-3) and BBCOR .50. Does the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC meet this requirement? Steve-O
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is BBCOR certified, -3. It is legal according to the specified rules.
Kara
I currently have the 2012 Vexxum and am hitting well, but I would like a new bat. Should I stay with this line and get the 2014 Vexxum? Or should I move up the line to the CF6? Buck
If you were a big fan of the 2012 Vexxum, I would probably suggest staying with the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: (DXVXC). This model will be similar, however, it will have slightly newer technology to help improve and boost performance. The hybrid technology used will allow you to produce some good momentum, and the C6 composite handle will also allow more flex and trampoline. This model has been extremely popular, and I think if you were a big fan of the previous Vexxum, you will absolutely love the 2014 model.
Merritt
What leagues is this bat eligible in? hbryant
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is BBCOR certified and is approved for high school and collegiate play. Typically, a BBCOR bat will be legal for play in Little League, PONY, Babe Ruth, Dixie, DIZZY DEAN, and USSSA as well. It's always best to verify with a coach or league official first.
John H
My 13 year old son is 5'1" and 105 lbs. He plays travel ball and is not a power hitter. Do you recommend the Vexxum and what length? GMAN
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is a very light weight and balanced bat. It feels great to a contact hitter. At his size, the 31" 28 oz. would be best recommended.
Brandon
I am 13 years old, I'm 5'9" and I weigh 176 lbs. I am interested in a durable bat. I am a contact hitter. Sometimes I hit to the fences but other times I don't . I play on a school team and I play for a 14U travel team . Now that the pitches are getting to be faster, I want a bat that is light but also won't hurt my hands. Is this bat good for me or should I get the 2014 DeMarini Paradox? What size should i get? idkk
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC). Since you are a contact hitter, the balanced swing weight will allow you better bat control and bat speed than an end loaded model, like the DeMarini Paradox. End loaded models are usually preferred by power hitters, who usually can generate great bat speed on their own. The two-piece design is more forgiving on sting and vibration as well.
Tessa L.
What are the differences between the 2013 Vexxum & the 2104 Vexxum? GMAN
The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult will be more end loaded than the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS uses new technology for a more balanced swing weight.
Zach
I'm 16 and a sophomore in high school. I weigh 170 lbs. and I'm 6'0". I am not a power hitter but I have a really quick bat speed. Should I get the new Vexxum or the Paradox? schanky17
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC is a very balanced bat. It is designed for a contact hitter that needs to increase their bat speed. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) is designed for a player with quick bat speed.
Kara
This will be my first year playing 60/90 baseball. I want the fastest bat through the zone. Will this be a good bat for me and are there any other bats faster than this? I am 5 foot 2 and weigh 103 pounds. What size would be good for me? baseball palyer
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is a very well balanced bat which helps to generate better bat speed and it's two-piece design helps to whip the bat through the zone to create more bat head speed as well.
Patrick
I am a 5' 6" power hitter. Would this be a good bat for me as a 31" 28? Also, is this bat end-loaded or balanced? dingerbud
This bat is a balanced design so it would be directed more towards a power hitter. The Voodoo would be a good option to look at if you want an end loaded DeMarini bat.
Cooper
Next year will be my first year playing 60/90. Would this be a good bat for me as a 5' 6" 13 year old? dingerbud
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) would be a great first time BBCOR bat. It will feel very light and promote fast bat speeds.
Brandon

Merritt
Would you recommend me this bat or the 2014 Voodoo BBCOR? catcher7
It mostly comes down to what type of hitter you are or how you prefer your bat to feel. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is a very well balanced bat, preferred widely by contact hitters. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo is an end loaded or end heavy bat that is more commonly preferred by players who hit for more power.
Marcus
My son is 13, 5'1", 90 lbs. and is currently using 31" Velo bat. He is a contact hitter looking for more swing speed ad more pop off the bat. He wants a 30" CF6 but this Vexxum seems easier to swing. What do you suggest? Baseball Dad
Both, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC), would be a good option due to the fact that they are both balanced bats but the CF6 is going to be DeMarini's most balanced bat that they have.
Cooper
I'm 5'3" and weigh 108 lbs. I hit for contact. Would you recommend the CF6 or Vexxum? What size do you recommend? Joey
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" bat. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) and the CF6 are both great for contact hitters. The both have two-piece designs with balanced swing weights. The Vexxum has a slightly lighter swing weight than the CF6 and has one of the lowest M.O.I. of any BBCOR bat.
Jason
How does the pop of the Vexxum compare with the Voodoo? Josh
With regard to pop, both the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the Voodoo will have about the same amount of pop. The main difference between the two models is that the Vexxum features a balanced swing weight whereas the Voodoo has an end loaded swing weight. Both are high performance models and would be great options to go with.
Tessa

I am 6 foot 7 and weigh 210 pounds. I have great bat speed. Should I get the 2014 Vexxum or 2014 Voodoo? Also, what size? Flyer
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 34 inch bat. both options are great bats. If you prefer a more balanced feel I would go with the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC). If you think you would prefer a more end-loaded style given your good swing speed, I would look at the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
My son is 5' 2", 105 pounds, and is a contact hitter. Any suggestion on bat size? Gary
With his height and weight, our Bat Coach recommendation is 29" or 30". This 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is available in 31", at the smallest, but it does offer a very light swing weight. We do have some solid 30" BBCOR models if you're not set on this design: http://goo.gl/Z4tSkc.
Mac
I'm 5'10" 150 lbs and a power hitter. Should I get the Vexxum or the Voodoo for BBCOR? T-Russ
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has an extremely balanced swing weight and is better for contact hitters. If you are a power hitter, you should get the Voodoo. The end loaded swing weight on the Voodoo is better suited for power hitters. Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model.
Jason
I'm 5'8" and 120 lbs. Should I get this bat for this weekend at my all star games? chase
Using our Bat Coach, I would suggest a 31" for a player your size in the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC). The Vexxum would be a great choice if you are looking for a very balanced bat that allows for quick swing speeds.

Is there any difference between the 2014 Vexum NVS BBCOR and the 2014 Vexum? They are both the same color but one is the NVS bat. dad
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is the BBCOR model of the bat. The other models for senior league and youth style play are colored slightly differently. NVS stands for New Velocity System and is designed to make the Vexxum one of the lightest swinging BBCOR bats available.

Merritt
Should I get this bat for my first year in Babe Ruth league? Nelson Baseball
This 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) would be a great option if you're just moving up to the BBCOR bat category. This Vexxum NVS has a very balanced swing weight which really helps ease the transition from the lighter bats you were probably swinging.
Mac
What model of wood bat has a weight distribution similar to this? My son has this bat and likes the feel, but is now playing a wooden bat league and is looking for the same feel. Scott
The wood bat turn model that would have a close feel to BBCOR bats like the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) would be the 110 turn model.
Patrick

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is a terrific bat for a contact hitter. It is a two-piece design with a balanced swing weight, which is ideal for contact hitters.
Jason
Is the Vexxum NVS heavier than the Easton Mako? jjjjj
Both the Easton MAKO (BB14MK) and the DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC) are balanced bats, one is not going to be heavier than the other.
Sean
I am a contact hitter so what bat would you recommend for me. The 2014 Demariani Vexxum or the 2015 Omaha? Timmy
Actually, both the the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the 2015 Louisville Slugger Omaha 515 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBO5153) bats will be well balanced for a contact hitter. The Vexxum will be two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel and the Omaha a one-piece alloy bat. If you prefer flex and less vibration I would go with the Vexxum. If you like a stiffer feel I would go with the one-piece omaha.
Damon
Is the material on the 2014 Vexxum the same as the 2014 Voodoo Paradox? bob
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the 2014 Voodoo Paradox will feature the same barrel material. The Vexxum will feature a C6 composite handle, while the 2014 Voodoo will feature the Paradox handle.
Brandon
Would you suggest this bat to a player who has never used BBCOR before, or an experienced BBCOr user? b
The balanced design of the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) can be used comfortably by both experienced and inexperienced BBCOR hitters. It is good for those transitioning to BBCOR for the first time.
Patrick
For a contact hitter, would you recommend this bat or a bat like the Easton S1, S2, or S3? J
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) as well as the bats in the Easton Speed Series would all be great options for a contact hitter. They are all very well balanced producing a nice light swing weight. The preference would come down to which style you prefer.
Patrick
Is this the most balanced bat on the market? If not, is it comparable to the S1 and MAKO? bigboo
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is one of the most balanced designs available. The MAKO and the S1 are both very well balanced as well.
Patrick
I am 5'8" and 115 lbs. I've been looking at the DeMarini CF6 and the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS. Are they both balanced which would you recommend? Zig
Both the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the CF6 are top of the line models from DeMarini. They also feature similarly balanced swing weights, which is great for contact hitting. A major difference between the two models is that the CF6 is a two-piece fully composite design, whereas the Vexxum is a hybrid bat, so it has an alloy barrel and a composite handle. The CF6 also features the D-Fusion handle. Both are great options to go with, it will truly depend on if you prefer an alloy barreled bat or a composite barreled bat.
Tessa

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) features an X10 allo barrel. The 2015 Vexxum features an upgraded X12 alloy barrel. The 2015 model also features the N2M end cap, which will help with the balance of the bat. Both options are great choices for you son. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 29" bat.
Tessa
Is there a lot of flex in this bat? bigboo
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is a two-piece bat so it will have flex.
Damon
Hi I am playing on my schools JV team this year as an 8th grader and I need -3 bat that is light to use because it will be my first season using one. Do you think I should get the Vexxum? If so, should I get the 2013 model or 2014? (Which one has more "pop?") Lance
Yes, we would recommend the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat for any player transitioning from a senior league bat to a BBCOR. The Vexxum NVS is one of the most balanced options available in BBCOR which will help make the transition easier to a heavier bat. Performance between the 2013 and 2014 will be very similar. The 2014 model I felt had a little larger sweet spot though.
John
I'm 5'5, 15 years old, and weigh just under 130 lbs. What size would be better even if I grow a few inches by next year? Darknight19
Based on your current height and weight, our Bat Coach recommends a 30" 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC). If you were to grow a few inches by next year, you could potentially go with a 31" bat. For more information on sizing, check out our Bat Resource Guide: http://www.justbats.com/bat-resource-guide/selecting-a-baseballbat/
Tessa
I just bought this bat in the 31" a few weeks ago. How long does it take to break-in if I do soft toss twice a week? Sc
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) features an aluminum barrel and will not require a break-in period.
John H
Where is the weight focused in this bat? Owen
The weight in the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVXC) will be very balanced. Therefore, the focus of the weight will be evenly distributed throughout the barrel.
Merritt
What is the difference between this Vexxum and last years Vexxum? fordy
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the 2014 Vexxum NVS both us X10 alloy in the barrel and C6 composite in the handle. The big difference between the two bats is the M.O.I. The Vexxum NVS is one of the most balanced BBCOR bats on the market.
Jason
How does this bat compare to the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault in terms of balance, swing speed, and performance? nb
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is one of the most balanced BBCOR bats on the market and is more balanced than the Louisville Slugger Assault. The Vexxum NVS can also provide a player with a quicker swing speed because of the balanced two-piece design. The two-piece design provides a whipping motion, which can generate quicker bat speeds. The performance between the Assault and the Vexxum NVS is very similar. They are both BBCOR certified bats and the performance is similar because of the certification stamp.
Jason
Comparing this to the DeMarini Voodoo Paradox, which bat has more pop/performs better? Also, which bat is more durable? Lastly, does this bat require a break-in period? Jason
"Pop" is really relative to the player. Both bats are BBCOR certified, so any difference in performance you would see, would be caused by your preference to design. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has a very balanced swing weight and is a better choice for a player who is looking to increase swing speeds. The Voodoo has a slightly end loaded swing weight that is typically a better choice for a power hitter, as it creates more momentum in their swing without sacrificing swing speed. Both bats have proven to be pretty durable, judging by our reviews. And neither bat will require a break-in period, as they have alloy barrels that offer hot out of the wrapper performance.
Mac
Is this bat a balanced bat? What would be the most balanced DeMarini bat? shortstop is bae
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is a very well balanced model. The Vexxum and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) are the two most balanced designs in the DeMarini line and both will be similarly well balanced.
Patrick
Is the 2015 BBCOR Voodoo OVERLORD FT going to be higher performing than the Vexxum NVS? T
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the OVERLORD FT are both very high performing bats. They are both capped with the BBCOR certification stamp and one is not going to perform better than the other. It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which option is best for you. The Vexxum NVS has a balanced swing weight and is a better option for contact hitters. The OVERLORD FT has an end loaded swing weight and is better for power hitters.
Jason
I'm struggling on hitting, I am not very strong, and I am looking for a light bat. I also looked at the Easton S3. Which one would be lighter? Also, I noticed that this bat has a smaller barrel than the S3, will that make a difference? love baseball
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is one of the lightest swinging BBCOR bats on the market. It will provide you with a quicker bat speed than the Easton S3 because of the two-piece design. The Vexxum appears to have a slightly smaller barrel than the S3 because of the two-piece design, but the difference is minimal. You lose a little bit of the hitting surface compared to the S3, but you gain valuable bat speed and balance.
Jason
I am 6' 170 lbs and a freshmen. Should I get this bat or the Easton S2Z for BBCOR? tim
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the S2Z are both excellent bats for a freshman. The Vexxum is a more balanced option though, and is typically easier to swing for a player using BBCOR for the first time. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" model.
Jason
I've noticed that this Vexxum has a slightly smaller barrel than the past models. Does that make the sweet spot on this bat smaller? What about the pop of the overall bat compared to previous Vexxums? Is the sweet spot smaller than the Voodoos? T
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has been completely redesigned from previous Vexxum models. Those older models would have offered a longer sweet spot, but they definitely weren't as balanced as the NVS design. The Voodoo will offer a larger sweet spot, but it's also end loaded; making it harder to swing. Performance is still regulated by the BBCOR certification, and the NVS will still offer high-end performance.
Mac
I'm 14 years old and 5'5". I play high school baseball. Is this bat good for high school players? What size and length of bat should I get? Jay
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has the BBCOR certification stamp and is designed for high school players. It is a terrific option for the majority of high school players. The best way to determine the correct bat size for a player is based on their height and weight. However, a 14 year old usually swings a 32" bat. Check out our Bat Coach for more sizing information: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Jason
Hi, I'm 6'3". I've had a 34" but I didn't like it. It was too long. Should I get a 33" or a 33.5". Is there any difference? jose
If you did not like the 34", 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) I would swing the 33" model. The major difference between the 33" and 33.5" will be the 1/2" in length and the extra 1/2 oz. in weight.
Brandon
Is this bat end loaded? chan
No, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS (DXVXC) will be a balanced bat.
Kelby
My brother showed me this bat and is nice and has a lot of great reviews. But when he played, he was more of a contact hitter and I'm more of a power hitter. Would there be a problem since it is not an end loaded design? oilerbaseball5
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is a very high performing model that is well balanced. Generally, power hitters prefer a bat that has more of an end loaded design. It will come down to what you are most comfortable with. If you like a balanced design then this would be a good option for you. If you prefer more of an end loaded design then I would take a look at the DeMarini Voodoo Overlord.
John
I am 5'11" and 13 years old. My Pony League has switched to -3's only. I am a contact hitter, but I am looking to grow into this bat. Will this be a good choice or what bat would? Dillon
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is an excellent option for any player moving into a -3 BBCOR bat. The Vexxum has an extremely balanced swing and its two-piece design make it ideal for a contact hitter.
Jason
I am 5'6" and weigh 127 lbs. and I am contact hitter. Which bat and size do you recommend? Jay
For your size and weight I am recommending a 31 inch bat. Also, since you are a contact hitter the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) would be a great one for you since it is a balanced bat.
Frankie
Hey, I am 6' 305 pounds and I'm playing baseball for the first time this year. I am very strong and I want to either get the Vexxum NVS in 34" or the M2M in 33". I have no experience at all. Which one will be better suited for me, and should I get 33" or 34"? benjigridiron
Both are great bats for your height and weight. The DeMarini M2M BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXM2C) has the Stiff Flex design and the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) does not. The stiffness in the M2M helps generate more power; this would be beneficial for a power hitter. Also, a 33" bat is the suggested size for your height and weight.
Chinyere
How does the size of the sweet spot compare to previous models? Tim
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) will have a relatively identical sweet-spot size to the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum.
Joe
What are the differences in this bat and the 2015 vexxum? bob
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) will be very similar bats. The 2015 model will follow the 2014 model with the hybrid construction (composite handle and alloy barrel). There will be a difference in cosmetics between the two models. The biggest difference will be the new X12 alloy that is used in the 2015 model to provide more power and durability.
Ben
Will you be re-stocking the 32 inch model of this bat? bob
Since the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is an older model produced by DeMarini, we will most likely not be re-stocking our supply of 2014 Vexxum 32"/29 oz. bats. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Ben
I'm 5,3 115 pounds and 12. I'm playing freshman ball. Do you recommend this bat for me in 31/28? Billy348

My son is a freshman at 5'9" and 163 lbs. Which bat is better suited for him: the Vexxum or Voodoo? kbac
Either bat would be a great choice for your son. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has a two-piece hybrid design as well as the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). The Vexxum is said to feel very light, and that is great for increasing swing speed. The Voodoo is going to have a stiffer feel and be slightly end-loaded.
Chinyere
I'm 5'9" 140 lbs. and a freshman in high school, what size should i get? Jt
For a player of your size, our bat coach recommends the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) in a 32" 29 oz. model.

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is going to be a balanced bat that we recommend for contact hitters. If you are a power hitter I would recommend looking at the DeMarini Voodoo or Voodoo Overlord.
Frankie
What has more pop between the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC)? d
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be higher performing because it is a two-piece full composite, whereas the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel.
Damon
Which has more pop between this and the 2014 VELO? What about the sweet spot size difference? T
Both the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBV3) are going to have really good pop and feature roughly the same size sweet spot. It is going to come down to preference. The Vexxum is a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel and the VELO is a one-piece alloy designed bat.
Liz
I'm looking for one piece aluminum BBCOR bats in a 32" 29 oz. size. What are my best options? Trace
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) will be a two piece hybrid design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. Some one piece full alloy models that you could definitely consider would be the 2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRVB), the 2015 Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBC614), the 2015 Louisville Slugger Omaha 515 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBO5153), or the 2015 RIP-IT AIR BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1503A).
Joe
Does this model come in 32/29 version or only the 33/30? Patrick
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) was manufactured in a 32" 29 oz. model, unfortunately, we don't currently have that size in stock.
Joe
Does this bat has a bigger sweet spot than the 2013 Rawlings 5150? Kj
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the 2013 Rawlings 5150 will have roughly the same size sweet spot.
Tom
Does this bat have pop and a good sweet spot? Jr
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) features two piece hybrid design with a composite handle and the alloy barrel. Pop is not a technical term. However, this model does have great performance and a fairly large sweet spot with the enhanced NVS barrel.
Joe
How would this bat compare to the 2013 Omaha in terms of sweet spot, balance, etc.? d2
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the Omaha 515 are going to be different feeling bats. The Vexxum is going to be a two-piece hybrid and the Omaha is going to be a one-piece all alloy. The Vexxum is going to be a little more balanced than the Omaha, but will also have a smaller sweet spot.
Jake

The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is one of the most balanced BBCOR bats on the market. It is lighter swinging and more balanced than the Easton S1. If you are looking to increase your bat speed, then the Vexxum NVS is the way to go.

The CF6 is the more balanced of the two, however you also have to take into account the different construction materials resulting in a different feel.

I'm comparing the NVS to the Rawlings 5150 2014 but I don't know which one is lighter? big frank
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) will feature a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. Additionally, it offers a balanced swing weight. The Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB513) will feature a single piece full alloy design with a balanced swing weight. The Vexxum will result in faster swing speeds due to the 2 piece design.

I am 5'8", weigh 125 lbs and play high school ball. Would you recommend this bat for me. What size do you recommend? xavier
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model. The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) is an excellent bat for just about any player. However, the Vexxum is extremely balanced and is one of the lightest swinging BBCOR bats on the market. It will provide a quick bat speed for the majority of players.

I'm comparing this to the Marucci Black that's also in a bat pack with the Voodoo OVERLORD and I'm wondering which would be a better choice technology, swing weight/feel, and overall give to the bat? Vin
The DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the Marucci Black BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBB14) are very similar bats. Both are two piece hybrid bats with balanced swing weights. The biggest difference is that the Marucci Black has an extended barrel giving it a larger sweet spot.

Is there a significant difference between the 2014 Vexxum and 2015 Vexxum NVS? Also does this bat have a large barrel to go with the balanced swing weight? Ben0692
The 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has new X12 alloy compared to X10 alloy on the 2014 Vexxum. The two bats will perform the same though, it really comes down to personal preference on the cosmetic design. In order to be a BBCOR certified bat, the barrel has to be 2 5/8" in diameter.
Liz
How can I clean the grip? Is there a temperature restriction on this model? Two sticks
We would recommend using a mild soap and water to clean the grip of the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC). We would recommend not using the bat in temperatures below 55 degrees Fahrenheit as the materials that make up the baseballs will become more dense, which is more likely to damage the bat.
Joe
Is this bat or the 2012 BB126 Omaha a better bat? Can you please tell me which will give me better pop and power on the ball? T
The BBCOR standard ensures that non-wood bats perform more comparably to wood bats in an attempt to level the playing field. All BBCOR models cannot exceed the .50 standard so neither the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) or the 2012 BB126 model will have more "pop".
Liz

Based on your height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVXC in a 33 inch 30 ounce model. About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
