Review This Bat

2014 DeMarini Vexxum Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVXR review by JaguarSam
Pros: So far the bat is great, my son is swinging it like crazy. He is a contact hitter and the balance of this bat compared to other DeMarini's is perfect for him. This is his first two piece composite and he is really noticing less sting in his hands. He moved from a Louisville Catalyst, and the pop from this bat is much better. Cons:None so far.

Pros: Good for colder weather with the composite handle. 12 year old says it's a nice swinging bat, good pop. First HR with it didn't hurt, but he also grew 5". Has good pop when hit on the screws. Cons:

2014 DeMarini Vexxum Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVXR review by Cowboys-1127
Pros: Excellent pop, very balanced - my son is 40 lbs. soaking wet - he loves this bat. I would recommend this bat to parents looking for a senior league big barrel bat. Cons:My son asks me to take him to the park every day to practice - I guess that is not a con, but a positive.

My son is nearing the end of his 12U season and will be playing in Cooperstown next month. He is a line drive contact high average hitter that has hit a couple out of 200' fields. He currently swings a Rawlings 5150, 31" 21 oz. bat. If all else is equal, is it reasonable to expect some added distance from this DeMarini bat?

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVXR) features a two-piece design, whereas the Rawlings 5150 is a one-piece bat. A contact hitter will usually prefer a two-piece design because of the flex that it allows. Two-piece bats flex during your swing causing a whip-like actions that helps the head of the bat whip forward at the moment of contact, generating more inertia and power. Both models feature some great technology that make them both extremely balanced options to go with. It is tough to say for certain if your son could get some additional distance with the Vexxum, however, the flex of the two-piece may be able to give him some additional distance.

What kind of barrel does this bat have? Also, is it legal for the 13-15 year old division of baseball? I believe that I play in Cal Ripken.

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum Senior League Baseball Bat: (DXVXR) will feature a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. Therefore, yes, this model will be legal for play in the Cal Ripken, age 13-15 year old division.

I am 5' 1" and 12 years old. I'm going into modified. What kind of bat length should I have?

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVXR) would be an exceptional choice. The bat will feel very balanced and light weight. The 31" or 32" would be the best recommended sizes for you.

Product Description

New for 2014! The Half + Half bat that put DeMarini on the map returns for another season! The DeMarini Vexxum has been crushing the ball for years, and this season it's as mean as ever! Once the first of its kind as far as two-piece bats go, this year's Vexxum combines an X10 Alloy barrel with a C6 Composite handle. The X10 Alloy used on the barrel is finely-tuned and shaped to create the thinnest possible walls. This keeps the weight down and opens up the sweet spot for unbelievable performance! The C6 Composite handle works in unison with the alloy barrel and is specifically tailored for the single wall construction of the Vexxum to give it the largest possible hitting surface! C6 features a wider composite weave, which in turn gives it more flex and unparalleled trampoline when the bat makes contact with the ball! The Vexxum is about as balanced as a bat can get, and is absolutely ideal for players looking to improve their swing speed this season! If you want mad pop and a light swing weight, this Vexxum is for you! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The Vexxum features the USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

About DeMarini

DeMarini In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater." In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini.... read more
