2014 Easton FX2 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP14X2 review by drew s
Pros: This bat was recently purchased, by a family member, as a present, for my daughter who is a 14U travel player and if your main objective is to generate power and distance this is the best one piece composite bat design on the market at the moment as my daughter has hit the ball with consistently more power and authority than ever before. Cons:So far none, just hope it stays durable.

What's the main difference between the (FP14X2) and the (FP13X2)?

The 2014 Easton FX2: (FP14X2) and Easton FX2: (FP13X2) will both be one-piece bats with the same IMX composite material. Essentially, the biggest difference among these bats is going to be purely cosmetic. Easton has physically re-designed the bat, but performance wise, these will have the same feel, and incorporate the same materials.

What does FP14X2 stand for?

The XL series bats (FX1 and FX2) are going to be a little heavier and have a end-loaded feel, giving stronger players extra momentum through the zone and more power behind each swing. The 2014 Easton FX2 (FP14X2) is an XL series bat so it will be heavier than the speed series.

Which is the better bat: this one or the MAKO for hitting distance?

The 2014 Easton FX2 (FP14X2) is an end loaded bat. The end loaded design will typically generate more power and distance.

Product Description

New for 2014! Last season, Easton's Power Brigade Series dominated the softball diamond. This season, the all new Power Brigade Series picks up right where the original Series left off so the concept of the Power Brigade remains the same: allow players to personalize their power. The fact is, that players draw power from different sources. Stronger players may want a bit more weight and endload to their bat, while smaller players want a little less weight and a balanced feel. Easton solves this problem by offering Power Brigade bats in two categories: The Speed Series and The XL Series. Speed Series bats (FS1, FS2, and FS3) are characterized by lighter length to weight ratios and balanced swing weights to produce faster swing speeds and more power as a result. XL Series bats (FX1 and FX2) are going to be a little heavier and have a endloaded feel, giving stronger players extra momentum through the zone and more power behind each swing. This bat, the FX2, is a one-piece fully composite design that features a barrel made from Easton's IMX Composite that seamlessly transitions into an ultra-thin handle made from their SIC Black Carbon Composite. If you're looking for extra power this season, there's only one logical choice: The Easton Power Brigade! Easton: Personalize Your Power! The FX2 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by Easton's exclusive 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
