2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL14MK9 review by Fernando Garza
Pros: My son plays 11u elite ball he is about 5'4" and weight 130lbs, I bought him the 32/23 Mako and he loves it. The first batting practice he used it he hit one off the fence and one over the fence. All the kids on the team were checking out the bat after practice. Cons:None yet, just used it for one practice so far.

Why is the Mako SL14MKB so much more expensive than the Mako that is in the bat packaged with the Louisville Slugger TPX Warrior Senior League Baseball Bat: SL12W?

The 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14MK9) in 31" or 32" by itself cost the same as the bat pack with the Mako and TPX. The bat pack essentially gives you the Louisville Slugger TPX for free if you were going to buy the 31" or 32" at the $299.99 price tag.

What is the big difference between a 2 3/4" barrel and a 2 5/8" barrel? My son is 10 years old, is 5'2", and weighs 95 pounds. What would you recommend? He uses the S series now, 2 5/8" barrel -10.

Some leagues' rules and regulations require a 2 5/8" barrel diameter and will not allow a 2 3/4" barrel diameter. As far as performance goes, they will both perform about the same with the 2 3/4" barrel being slightly larger.

looking to purchase -3 bat for my nephew. What size is that if he requested 33" and -3? Thanks.

The drop weight (-3) will be the difference between the overall length of the bat (33") and the overall weight of the bat (30 ounces). For a 33" drop 3 or -3, it would be a 30 ounce bat.
