Pros: Very light. Just got the Rawlings Velo and this S2 birch wood bat. This bat feels super light and has great pop being a birch bat. This is even lighter than my ash bat that I also have. Out of my 4 wood bats this is the best because of its combination of bat speed and pop. The Marucci JB 19 is right under this in my ranking and was $120 when I got it. So being $80 this bat is definitely worth it.
Cons: A few ball marks on my bat but that is just from hitting it hard and you don't need a shiny, spotless, bat anyway. Also everybody knows this but you gotta put a grip or pinetar on wood bats because they don't have the best grip. I would get a $10 grip online or at Dicks Sporting Goods. Pinetar can ruin batting gloves over time so that's why I use a grip
Pros: This bat is sick! I am 15 and am 5 ft. 6 and weigh 127 lbs. im not a big kid and am mostly a singles hitter. I am new to wood since my summer league has just required that we use wood. I didnt know what to expect because I thought it would be a struggle with wood because I didnt think it would have the pop like BBCOR. In my first at bat ever with wood using this bat I hit a 2 run double over the right fielder's head. (it ended up rolling all the way to the 325 ft fence and i shouldve had a triple but I misread the third base coach) It felt great. This bat sounds like a rifle when you hit it! This is called a S2 for a reason and I got my hips around and drilled it! This is a great bat and now I love wood! I cannot stess enough that this is a perfect bat for someone my size and I am reqlly happy! also, I have a maple bat also and I prefer this birch. i dont know what it is but this birch has better pop than maple and is also lighter.
Cons: only concern is a concern that every wood bat has. Its grip. I recommend a $10 lizard skin from Dicks Sporting Goods or online. I got a black lizard skin grip for this bat and I definatley prefer lizard skins over pine tar.
Pros: lightweight and great pop. Ideal for power and line drives. Great bat for turning on a pitch and driving it with its lightness and its even better pop
Cons: Put on a grip or some pinetar. Also, ton of ball marks on it now. Looks ugly with all the marks but preforms well.
