Description

The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, and S3). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The XL1 features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Incredible pop with almost no vibration. Massive sweet spot. Believe the reviews. Bat is that good. Son driving ball 20-30 feet further right out of wrapper. Hits like it should be illegal-but it is not! Need good mechanics to swing though - moderately end-loaded.

Cons: None.

Nice power bat! John Depinet parent

Pros: Bought this bat for my 10yr old boy who loves it (29/21). Used the 2013 S1 big barrel last year (30/10) and was a little worried about the XL1 being to end loaded so I bought the shorter yet slightly weightier XL1. Perfect fit and the amount of power generated of the S1 is big! If I would have went with the 30" XL1 it would have been too heavy. S1 is a great bat but was just looking for more power and we got it now.

Cons: My son has complained about vibration but had the same amount in the 2013 S1.

Pros: fist day i got it i thought i wasnt going to do good because it was end loeded and i normaly use tge cf5 so i capled up my friend to do soft toss and as soon as i hit it i hit a hard line drive straight to the fence(296) im allso 6,1 and 195lbs so i recamend this for big power hitters and is also hard to hit homeruns off of soft toss

Cons: it chips realy fast it one ball took about an inch of paint

mako vs xl1 USA Baseball player

Pros: Had the Mako big barrel and it does not have as much power as the xl1. if your a contact hitter you should get this bat. I hit about .333 with mako and about .450 xl1. the mako is a good bat for power hitters that have mass swings but the xl1 is perfect for kids like me, I'm 4'11 93 pounds and a great contact hitter and I switched just a few weeks ago and the xl1 has way more power then the mako But the xl1 is a heavy bat but it's still a great bat can't miss the sweet spot (same with mako) and just an overall great bat.

2.5 oz. Overweight coach coach

Pros: Very good pop with a very large barrel and sweet spot, but 3 different scales all weighed this bat at an incredible 2.5 oz. over sticker weight!

Cons: If your son can handle an endloaded -8 that actually weighs in at -5.5 (an incredible 2.5 oz. over it's sticker weight), this bat will work well for him. But you should judge the performance of this bat against -5's and not -8's, being as that it doesn't weigh anywhere close to a -8.

Maybe the best pop out there 1bigkid parent

Pros: My son raked with this bat in 10U Utrip National World Series. Batted the highest on his team with it at .700avg. Even the bad miss hits were rocketed. We've tried a lot of other bats, voodoo, CF5, Attack, S1, combats and others even the xl3 but this is the one he likes. The barrel on this bat is the biggest out of any other bats. He's not a big kid either 4' 8" 65 lbs but has a better then average swing. I got this bat at some ridiculous price here at just bats think it was 129.

Cons: The ends are chipping. The grip on the 29" is so small you almost can't choke up on it. Heavy end loaded so make sure you can swing it 1st.

Dent's Easily TP parent

Pros: Nice bat with a good pop until it dents.

Cons: My 9 year old has dented two Easton Bats. Easton was good about replacing the first one, but will not replace the second one because it falls outside of the original purchase date and 1 year warranty. Very disappointed in Easton. If they would build a product that lasts, we wouldn't need to ask for a replacement and when they won't honor a second defective bat, it is very disappointing.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL14X18? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

If your player is big and strong with fast bat speed, what is best the XL Series or the S series? Mike Bohnert
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League and the rest of the XL-Series is typically preferred by power hitters with good bat speed, as it has an extended barrel, heavier length to weight ratios, and an end loaded feel to put more mass behind the ball. The S-Series is intended for contact hitters to increase bat speed, as the series has a balanced swing weight and lighter length to weight ratios.
Katie
How end loaded is the XL1? Do you need amazing batspeed? I was wondering since I have average batspeed. baseball
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League is end loaded. We recommend this bat for power hitters, who have a little more strength.
Tori
If I am normally early on the ball, should I get a -8 or -5? jboy
This depends on a couple different factors. The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League will be more end-loaded than other models. If you are transitioning from a balanced, -10 bat, I would recommend going with the -8. If you are going to be transitioning to a BBCOR model soon, I would recommend the -5.
Justin R.
Besides the -8 vs -9 weight, what else is different about the Easton SL14X18 and the SL14MK9? What kind of hitter is the MK9 better suited for? Will they feel different? Paul
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League is an end loaded two-piece bat. It is designed for a power hitter. The Easton MAKO -9 is a balanced two-piece bat, better suited for a contact hitter who needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
Is this bat approved for Babe Ruth 13-14 year old? Baseballmom
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League is a two-piece fully composite bat feature the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp and is not legal for Babe Ruth 13-14 year old division. Composite bats in that division require the BBCOR .50 stamp.
Jason
Is there any difference between the 2013 Easton XL1 and the 2014 Easton XL1? thedude
The 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB14X1 Adult bat will have different graphics than the 2013 version. The materials and design will still be the same though.
Tessa L.
I am 5'5 and 110 lbs, and swinging a -9 Voodoo. Will this bat be just as easy to swing as the Voodoo? machristofferson
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League is end loaded like the DeMarini Voodoo. It have a similar swing as the Voodoo.
Kara
Is this bat legal for Pony League? Fly Daddy
Yes, the 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League bat will be USSSA 1.15 BPF certified. I would just check with your coach or league official and make sure you can swing a composite barrel bat in your league.
Brandon
About how many swings before breaking this bat in? Fly Daddy
The best way to break-in the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) Senior League is taking 150-200 swings off a tee while rotating the barrel and repeating the process with soft toss. For more information on breaking in a composite bat check out http://www.justbats.com/blog/index.php/3789/breaking-in-your-composite-baseball-bat/
Jason
Is there any significant difference in hitting performance between the new 2014 and the old 2011 XL1 models? Lonnie
There will not be a big performance difference between the 2011 XL1 and the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18). The main differences will be cosmetic.
Tori
What is the difference between the XL1 BBCOR BB14X1 adult and the XL1 SL14X18 Senior League? c14
The difference between the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) and the BBCOR model are the drop sizes. The Senior League model features a -8 length to weight ratio whereas the BBCOR XL1 will have a -3 length to weight ratio. Other than the drop weights, both models will feature the same design and composite material.
Tessa L.
Is this bat considered a "big barrel"? Ross
Yes, the 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League bat is considered a big barrel.
Brandon
Is this bat's composite matrix reinforced with carbon nanotubes? M=SV
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League bat will feature an IMX composite barrel and an SIC Black Carbon composite handle. I am uncertain about the composite matrix and/or nanotubes. If you'd like to ask Easton, their number is 1-888-259-1297.
Brandon
What has more end load: the Voodoo OVERLORD or the Easton XL1? Which has more pop? billy
The 2014 Easton XL1: SL14X18 Senior League has and end loaded swing weight comparable to the new DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD. The main difference is the Easton will feature a two-piece composite design, whereas the OVERLORD has a composite handle and aluminum barrel. Both have good pop, but the Easton will need to be broken-in to be game ready.
Justin R.
Which bat has more pop: the 2014 MAKO big barrel or the 2014 XL1 big barrel? mikeybaseball
The 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) and the 2014 Easton MAKO (SL14MKB) are both very high performing bats. They both use top of the line composite materials. The XL1 will have a slightly longer barrel for an extended sweet spot.
Kara
i have an average bat speed, and i was using the s3 in drop 10 last season, and i have never gotten a composite bat, does composite have good pop,i a strong for my age, would this be the bat for me jordy
Composite bats have great pop just like alloy bats. The 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) bat is more for a power hitter. This bat will be slightly end-loaded so it will be heavier than a balanced bat. We would recommend to staying with a more balanced bat such as the 2014 Easton S1 (SL14S110).
Kyle
I am 5'1 112 I swing a 2013 s1 I have good bat speed and quick hands I wonder if this is to heavy Jacob
The 2014 Easton XL1: (SL14X18) will be slightly heavier at the end of the barrel. If you like the feel of the S1, which is more balanced, the XL series will have a different weight distribution. It will be more end loaded. Generally, end loaded bats are favored more by power hitters. However, this particular model will only have a slight end loaded feel. I don't think this particular model would be too heavy for you, but it just depends on what you feel most comfortable swinging. Balanced bats will have their weight more evenly distributed, and end loaded bats will be more top heavy.
Merritt
Is this legal for Junior's Little League Division, ages 13-15? ilovebaseball
The 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) is not legal in Junior's Little League Division. All composite barrel bats must be BBCOR certified. We recommend the 2014 Easton XL3 (SL14X39).
Kara
I am 5 foot 5 and 115 pounds. What size should I get? gm3hta
Based on the information you gave, I recommend a 31" length in the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18).
Zach
This or the Easton MAKO? Tanner
The 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) would be good for you if you are a power hitter. The MAKO would be better for a contact or line drive hitter, or for someone who prefers a balanced bat.
Justin R.
I am 5 foot and 90 pounds. What size bat should I get? Ryan
According to your height and weight I would recommend a 30" length in the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18).
Zach
What size bat do you recommend for 12 year old (13 in December)? He just finished Little League and is starting Pony League in the fall. He is 5'1" and 110 lbs? Tristan
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) Senior League.
Jason
Are the -3, -5, and -8 versions of the XL1 legal for all middle school play? bignick
Certain leagues will restrict the drop weight of the bats that can be used for certain age groups and some leagues will restrict the barrel material. Some will not allow a composite barrel bat like the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18). Before purchasing, it is best to ask a league official if they have any barrel material or drop weight restrictions.
Patrick
Is the XL1 SL14X18 legal for Babe Ruth baseball juniors division? Lincoln
No, the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) is not legal for Babe Ruth junior division play. League rules state that all composite barrel bats must have a -3 length to weight ratio and be BBCOR certified.
Bobby
i am 5 foot 3 120 pounds. should i get the mako senior league -9 of the xl1 senior league -8.
Based on your height and weight I would recommend going with the 2014 Easton MAKO (SL14MKB) due to its more balanced feel.
Bobby
Is the 2014 XL1 the same drop as the 2014 Easton MAKO? jj
The 2014 Easton MAKO: (SL14MK9) is not offered in a -8, unlike the 2014 Easton XL1: (SL14X18). The closest size to the 2014 Easton XL1: (SL14X18) is the -9 offered in the 2014 Easton MAKO: (SL14MK9).
Merritt
I am 4'11" and about 90 lbs. What size Easton XL1 should I use? t-bone
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) Senior League.
Jason
Does this bat come with a warranty? easton
Yes, the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) Senior League bat is backed by a "Full (12) Twelve Month Manufacturer's Warranty".
Mac
Will you get the 32 inch XL1's back in stock? I'm looking to order one. will hertel
Unfortunately, we will not be getting any more of the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bats (SL14X18) in the 32". We will be getting the new 2015 models on September 1st though.
Cooper
My son is 5' tall and 98 lbs. What size of bat do you recommend? kurt
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18).
Jason
I am 5'2", and last year I swung a very end-loaded 22 oz bat, but handled it pretty well. Do you think that moving up to a 23 oz bat will be too much to handle? Cole
Based on your previous experience with an end-load, I do not think moving up and ounce will be too detrimental to your swing speed. Even though the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14X18) incorporates an end-load, it will not be over bearing.
Merritt
My son has an Easton S1 29/19 and is a gap hitter who wants more power. What bat should he get? Jim
As a contact gap hitter, I would probably recommend looking for a balanced two-piece model. The 2014 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14S210) will incorporate a hybrid design. The THT100 Scandium Alloy material used in the barrel will be able to provide a lot of great power hot out of the wrapper. This model will be great for players looking to hit for power, but will also still feature characteristics favorable for a contact-hitter.
Merritt
Would this bat be good for a lead off hitter who doesn't hit for power? Jamie
The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) is going to be recommended for more of a power hitter because of the end loaded feel of the bat.
Cooper
I am about 5'1" and a cleanup hitter. I am looking for a bat with serious pop. Should I go with a MAKO or an XL1? What size? guyl27
With regard to pop, the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) and the Easton MAKO will have the same amount of pop since they both have to meet the 1.15 BPF standard. It will actually depend on you and what bat best suits your hitting style. If you are more of a power hitter, the end loaded design of the XL1 may be the better option for you. If you want to work on bat speed and control, the MAKO may better suit you since the balanced swing weight will be easier to work with and control. Sizing is mostly based on both your height and weight. Check out our Bat Coach for more information on sizing: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa
I am 4'9" and 70 lbs. What size bat would you recommend for me? JROD
The 30" 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) would be the size most recommended for you in this model.
Brandon
Dixie boys baseball rules state composite barrels must have stamp BBCOR .50 on bat. Does this one have that stamp certification? Jay
No, the only bats that will have the BBCOR stamp on them are the adult -3 bats. Since the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) is a senior league bat this would not be approved.
Cooper
I am 5'2" and 102 pounds. What size bat should I get? bk
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18).
Tessa
I am 5'1" and going in to 13u in the fall. I swing a 30" 20 oz. bat and do not want to make a jump all the way to a drop 3 in the spring. I am looking at his bat. What do you think i should do? jack
The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) is a great bat if you are a power hitter and it would be wise to move closer to a -3 model as soon as you can. The XL1, however is an end loaded bat. That would be an advantage if you are a power hitter. If you are more of a contact hitter I would look at something like the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFR) which is also a -8, but balanced.
Damon
Comparing the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X18) and the 2014 Easton MAKO (SL14MKB), I have read here that the XL1 will have a slightly longer barrel for an extended sweet spot. Assuming both bats are 30", how much more is slightly? Steve
The Easton XL1 (SL14X18) will have about a 1/4" longer barrel in the 30" size than the Easton MAKO (SL14MKB).
Sean
If my son is playing 8u travel ball and is 4' tall 60 lbs, what bat would you recommend given his size? Qmac
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 27" 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18).
Tessa
My son is a power hitter with a great hand speed. He's 4'9" and 92 lbs. What would be the recommended size? Ray
The best recommended sizing for him would be a 30" in the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18).
Brandon
How much longer would the XL1's barrel be compared to the 2014 COMBAT Wanted -8? jare
The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) and the COMBAT Wanted -8 will have similar barrel lengths. The XL1 may have close to 1" longer though.
Brandon
Are there any differences between the 2013 and 2014 XL1 models in the -8? Or is the difference just cosmetic? dmoney
The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14X18) was re-designed cosmetically, however, this is ultimately going to be the biggest difference.
Merritt
I am considering buying my son the new XL1 31" -8. The last two seasons he used the 30" -8 and did well. He is currently 116 lbs and 5'3" tall. Do you think the 31" -8 will be too heavy? JR2
Based on his height and weight, we recommend moving him up to the 31" model in the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18). Moving up an extra inch an extra ounce will be a smooth transition for him.
Jason
Is the 29" 21 oz. size too big for my son who's 4'4" and 72 pounds? CJ
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 28" 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18). Sizing is preferential though, so if he would feel more comfortable going with a 29" bat, that is definitely something to take into consideration as well. For more information on sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa
I am 4'11" and 95 lbs. Is a 30" 22 oz. good size for me? Vegas
The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) may be slightly heavy for your size. Typically, 12-13 year old players use this size. If you are that age, it would be appropriate.
Brandon
My son is 10 and will have to use BBCOR bat in 2 years for school ball. I want him to transition to the heavier bats gradually. He has been using a 29" 19 oz S3. All the charts indicate he needs a 30" bat but he is hitting his 29" just fine. Would you recommend a 30" 22 oz. or 29" 21 oz. for the transition? JWS
That will be a matter of preference. The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) features an end loaded swing weight, so not only will he be gaining at least two ounces with the -8 size, but there will be additional weight in the head of the bat. Generally, you want to swing the heaviest and longest bat that you can comfortably and consistently control, so if he has done well with a 29", maybe staying with that length and easing him to a heavier bat may be a great option to consider. Ultimately, sizing is preferential, so it will be up to him and what size feels best.

What will be the difference between this bat and the 2015 XL1 bat aside from the color? Will the 2015 model have a 31 inch -8 available? pk
We currently have that size of the 2015 Easton XL1 Senior League -8 Baseball Bat (SL15X18) available. The 2015 XL1 and the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) will be very similar in terms of design and performance. The only major differences are mainly cosmetic in nature.
Patrick
Will you guys have any of these in a -5 soon? baseballplayer44
We are not expecting any more shipments of the -5 size of the 2014 version of the XL1. For the 2014 models we only have the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) -8 available. We do have the 2015 Easton XL1 Senior League -5 Baseball Bat (SL15X15) available in a -5 size though.

My son is 12 years old. He is 49 inches tall and weighs 81 pounds. Last season he used a 2013 Easton S3 30 inch 20 ounce and I think he can handle a 30 inch 22 ounce model for 12U. I am considering the XL1 and the CF7. Can you tell me the difference in barrel or sweet spot length? Also, do these weigh in at spec? I've read a review that said the XL1 weighed 2.5 ounces over spec. Any recommendation? Molon Labe
Most models of alloy or composite barrel bats like the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) or the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFR) will not weigh exactly as listed on the bat as they are weighed earlier in the manufacturing process before grip tape, graphics, and sometimes even the end cap have been added. Different amounts of glue or epoxy used to construct the bat and even adding the knob jewel that lists the weight can cause it to fluctuate to be inaccurate. The idea is that a bat listed as a 30 inch 22 ounce bat will feel similar in weight to other models that size rather than be pin point accurate on the weight. The XL1 will have a more extended barrel than the CF7 by design. This gives it a bigger sweet spot but also gives it a more end-loaded feel. This will make the XL1 feel heavier than the CF7 and make it more difficult to swing overall. The trade off is that if you can swing it well you may be able to produce more power by focusing the mass of the bat to the hitting area.
Patrick
do you have this bat 2 3/4 barrel? lucas
We apologize, but JustBats.com does not carry the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) in a 2 3/4" barrel diameter.
Ben
I am a big home run hitter. Is this bat good for home-runs? Or should I go with the mako? Human
The 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) is a two-piece full composite bat featuring the IMX composite barrel with a massive swing spot. The SL14X18 features an end-load, which we typically recommend for power hitters. The Mako will be more suited to contact hitters as well as feature a well-balanced design.

My coach said that Senior League bats are not allowed in 'O' Zone division and that bats must have the USSSA certification (1.15 stamp) for Dixie Youth Baseball. I've noticed that Senior League bats have the USSSA certification (1.15 BPF). I have since purchased a Youth bat and it is also is certified by USSSA (1.15 BPF). Would the Easton XL1 Senior League model be allowed for use in my league? roonie6666
After viewing the bat rules for the The 'O' Zone division of Dixie Youth baseball, it looks like the 2014 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) and all other Senior League bats will be allowed if they have the USSSA certification (1.15 BPF) and a maximum barrel diameter of a 2 5/8".
Ben
I'm 6' about 145 lbs. I hit mostly for contact. Would you recommend one of the S-series or the XL1? LeftySpinner
The Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) is going to be intended for a power hitter. For a gap hitter such as yourself, we would recommend balanced model such as the 2015 Easton S1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S110).
Joe
I am 5 foot 11 and weigh 160 pounds and have a fast swing. I can hit pretty hard. Should I get the Mako or the XL1? harrison baseball
Which bat you should get would depend on your preference of style. If you like a more end-loaded feel, I would go with the Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18). If you like a more balanced feel, I would go with the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK8T) or the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14MK9). Both could work well for you.
Patrick
What size bat should I use, I am 5 foot 1 inch and 93 pounds and 13 years old? BIG R
We would recommend getting the Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) in a 32 inch based on your height and weight.
Frankie
My son is 5'6" and 130 lbs. He is 11 years old playing 12U. Is the -8, Easton XL1 an OK size for him? My other son swung a -10 at this age. But he wasn't the same size or a power hitter. Mike
Yes, the -8 Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) would be a fine bat and size for him. -10 bats are more common at age 11, but with his current size should be perfect for him.
Brandon
Is this bat less end loaded than the 2015 XL1? Is there ever going to be an -8 S1? stevie
The Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) will have the same end load as the 2015 model. At this time we are unsure if Easton will ever be making a -8 S1 bat.
Brandon
My son is 4'10" and 100 lbs. He has swung a 30" S3 for the last year and generated very good power with it. What size would you recommend for him? TR
For a player of his size, our bat coach would recommend the Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) in a 31" 23 oz. model. Additionally, the XL1 does feature an end-loaded swing weight while the S3 he has been using has a more balanced feel.
Joe

I was wondering if the 32" will come out on the drop 8? greatlakes
The Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X18) is the 2014 model and it has been discontinued by Easton. The sizes on the website are the only sizes we have left for the bat. If you want a 32" model, you will need to go with the 2015 model. The 2015 model is the 2015 Easton XL1 Senior League -8 Baseball Bat (SL15X18).
