Great buy. Reynolds coach

Pros: I got this for my son, He plays 8U select, and he loves it. We went through 3 bats this year, and finally settled on this one. We had a choice between this one and Eastons S500, needless to say the Warrior beat it hands down.

Cons: This was his first big barrel and it has slowed his swing down a bit. Not a Con, but had to put something here.

Absolute junk Dave parent

Pros: The only advantage was the price, now I see why......

Cons: This bat cracked after less than two weeks just casually hitting on the field. Very disappointed that Louisville Slugger manufactures something of this poor quality. I can't fault justbats, they didn't cause the issue and at least they will take it back. The old saying that you get what you pay for certainly is true in this case. Buyer beware!!!

Not impressed Scott parent

Pros: Nice graphics

Cons: Son complained during batting practice about his hands hurting from hitting the ball with this thing (he's never complained). The ball just doesn't come off the bat like his old Worth. And it sounds like he's using a big PVC pipe when he hits the ball, with a dull thump. The old Worth he has sounds like hitting a steel pipe with a hammer. This one is a little bigger than the old Worth, but it was time for a slightly bigger bat as he swings fast and hits most down 3rd base. He had a few decent hits, but it just hasn't impressed us enough to bring it to every game. I'll ask him to try it, and he will, but he'll ask to go back to his old Worth.

Warrior Sj player

Pros: Really nice feel when you hit it off the sweet spot. As soon as I got this bat, I was hitting homers. I like the sound it makes, sounds like a wood bat. Also, very affordable. If your looking for a great bat for a reasonable price, this is your bat.

Cons: If you hit it off the end of the bat, or the very inside part, it stings

All around good bat cd374 coach

Pros: I generally don't like to get a cheap priced bat as most have flaws, therefore the reason they are priced cheap. This bat was an exception and has been a great bat that allows good swing speed and maximizes a young hitters efficiency after coming from a youth bat. It has held up well to countless outings in the batting cage along with games played.

Cons: The only drawback is that the sweet spot could be a little larger and it tends to lose pop after a while. It has plenty of use though so that doesn't really surprise me. If you are looking for 1-2 seasons it will hold up fine.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
