Description

Based on Marucci's experience at the highest level of the game, Marucci knows that every player can benefit from having a bat tailored to their exact swing and style. Marucci has also learned, however, that the vast majority of players perform better with the most balanced bats. This knowledge, combined with the desire to help build the best hitters in baseball, have been the driving forces behind the development of the Marucci Elite line of bats. While most of the industry was working to shave fractions of ounces from their bat designs, Marucci set out to reduce their barrel weights by over 2 ounces. Such a dramatic weight reduction was not possible with standard bat manufacturing processes, but after a year of intensive research and testing, Marucci has developed and patented such a technology and is incorporating it into their new line of Elite bats. Marucci's patented technology allows for industry best weight reductions by fusing composite and aluminum materials together along the length of the barrel. By replacing the final inches of the bat, including the endcap, with aerospace grade composite materials, Marucci is removing "dead weight" from the bat and replacing it with a highly engineered structure designed to extend the sweet spot and improve the feel of the bat, all while helping to achieve industry-best swing weights. Professional hitters understand the importance of using the best equipment, they know that any small advantage they can gain from their equipment puts them that much closer to success. Marucci's patented multimaterial barrel technology offers players the advantage of increased swing speeds and more control at the plate. Join the ranks of hitters who have learned to expect as much from their bat as they do from themselves. Professionally Inspired. Precision Crafted. Marucci Elite. The Elite features the USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Best Bat We've Hit Jaxon player

Pros: The bat feels great in my hands. I was swinging a 19oz bat, and I got a 20 oz in this bat, but it feels the same weight, but is an inch longer, giving a bigger sweet spot. The feel and sound is great on contact. We took about 100 swings in the cage with real baseballs, and I can't see any markings at all on the bat. I expect the bat to be more durable than a full composite bat.

Cons: Only con I've found is the price.

Awesome bat Steve parent

Pros: My son loves his new bat. First time in the cage and he is meeting the ball with a quicker swing and hitting hard line drives. He is only 9 but this bat has already improved his power. He has always been a good hitter but couldn't stop smiling and thats what it is all about for me as a parent. He says no sting and great power. No marks on the bat after three rounds.

Cons: None. Second time I bought a Marucci for one of my boys and the last one was a Black 2 and it was also phenomenal.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBE14? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My son loved his COMBAT B3 but it barely made it through the season before it went dead. Will the Elite be a more durable bat than the COMBAT Portent, or do they both have short lives? Dan
The 2014 Marucci Elite: MSBE14 Senior League is a very high performing two-piece bat. It uses top of the line alloy and composite materials for outstanding performance and durability.
Kara
What is the difference between this and the 2013 version? Is the barrel longer? Coach Zack
The 2014 Marucci Elite: MSBE14 Senior League and the 2013 Marucci Elite use the same composite and alloy materials. The barrel size is the same in both models.
Kara
Marucci Black 2014 vs. Marucci Elite 2014. Give me the details about both. ryan
Both the 2014 Marucci Elite: MSBE14 Senior League and the 2014 Marucci Black will feature seamless two-piece hybrid designs. Each will feature a composite handle and an alloy barrel. The Elite will use Marucci's patented technology which allows for industry best weight reductions by fusing composite and aluminum materials together along the length of the barrel.
Brandon
My son will be 13 in October and he will be entering Babe Ruth League. Is this bat allowed for use in 13-15 Babe Ruth? Pious Punk
Yes, the Marucci Elite (MSBE14) Senior League is approved for play in Babe Ruth.
John
Does this bat require a break-in period? Ed
The 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) Senior League does not require a break-in period because it has an alloy barrel.
Jason
Trying to decide between the Marucci Elite and the DeMarini CF5. Is there a significant difference between these bats? Ed
The 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) Senior League is two-piece design with a balanced swing weight. It features a composite handle and alloy barrel. The DeMarini CF5 is a two-piece composite design with a balanced swing weight. The CF5 requires a break-in period and the Elite does not.
Jason
We live in Ohio and play a lot of cold weather games. I'm looking at the Marucci Elite MSBE14 and the Easton Mako. What are the pros and cons of each in Ohio weather? Charger18
Both the 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) and the 2014 Easton MAKO (SL14MK9) Senior League bats are top of the line, high performance models. Unfortunately, durability issues that arise in cold weather situations, generally, have more to do with the baseball than the bat. In weather below 55 degrees, the core of the baseball can condense and the ball can become harder. At that point, the ball becomes more like something the bat is not intended to hit and this can cause durability problems with all bats. Given the higher price point of these bats, it would be advisable to use a different bat in colder weather situations. Often, players will use a wood bat or a bat at a lower price point in these situations that would not be has expensive to replace. Both bats do feature a warranty from the manufacturer.
Patrick
Is the 2014 Marucci Elite more designed for a power hitter or a contact hitter? buddy
The 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) Senior League has a balanced swing weight more preferred by contact hitters but will still offer a ton of pop.
Aaron
Is the 2014 Marucci Elite more designed for a power hitter or contact hitter? I'm a power hitter looking for lots of pop. sim
The 2014 Marucci Elite: MSBE14 Senior League is designed to have one of the lightest and more balanced swing weights on the market, which is a bat trait that is generally preferred by contact hitters. However, balanced swing weights can suit all players, not just contact hitters. Bats that have an end-loaded design are the ones generally preferred by power hitters.
Kyle J.
How is this better than the Marucci ONE? Mnk34
Both are great bats. The 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) Senior League has carbon and alloy fused into the barrel to give it a more balanced swing weight than the 2014 Marucci ONE (MSBY1014-BK) Black Senior League.
Damon
Does the barrel of the Elite bat make it have less of a pop than the one? Mnk34
Both the 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) and the Marucci ONE have the same alloy barrel made from the AZ3000 alloy material. Therefore, they will have similar pop. The main difference between the two is that the Elite is a two-piece hybrid (alloy barrel and a composite handle), whereas the ONE is a one-piece alloy design.
Tessa L.
Does this bat has the usssa 1.15 bpf stamp jbp66
Yes, the 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) features the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp.
Bobby
Is this bat or the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD better? I can't make up my mind on which one to get. mnk34
The 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) Senior League and DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD are both high performing bats. The Elite tends to better for contact hitters because of its balanced swing weight and the OVERLORD tends to be better for power hitters because of its end loaded swing weight.
Jason
Can this bat be used in PONY league play? Saw Lee
The 2014 Marucci Elite (MSBE14) features the 1.15 BPF stamp which would make it legal for Pony League play in most leagues. However, because it is a hybrid design, it is best to ask your specific league official whether or not it can be used.
Patrick
Is the 2014 Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat: (MSBE14) legal for a 12 year old in Little League? LL Dad
The 2014 Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) would normally be legal for the Intermediate (50/70) and Junior League styles of play but not for any other divisions. However, given the unique nature of it's hybrid design, it would be best to check with a league official before purchasing the bat.
Patrick
Is the Marucci Elite's barrel longer than the Marucci Black's? And does it hit the ball farther than the Marucci Black? chris
The Marucci Black actually offers a longer barrel than the 2014 Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14). But the Elite has a more balanced swing weight. One bat isn't proven to outperform the other, but you're comparing two bats that are quite different in weight and design. If you're a player who needs a lighter bat and faster swing speeds, the -10 length to weight ratio of the Elite is likely a better choice. The Marucci Black would be a -8 model, so it's considerably heavier in the same length. If you're a stronger player, that may be the best choice.
Mac
My son is 12 1/2 years old, is 5' 1", & 75-80 lbs. What size bat would you suggest? iceman
I would recommend 30" to 31" in the 2014 Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) based on height and weight.
Jake
Is this bat legal in high school? paul
The 2014 Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) would not be legal for high school play because it does not meet BBCOR certification. The BBCOR certified version of the bat is the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14).
Patrick
Is there any composite material in the barrel of this bat or in the alloy used in the barrel? Intermediate Little League is picky on that point. Tim
The top inch of the barrel is made out of composite on the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14). The Marucci Elite is technically a three-piece bat with a composite handle, alloy barrel, and composite end cap. If the your league does not alloy composite in the barrel, then this bat is probably not legal for play.
Jason
When will Marucci come out with the 2015 version of this bat? G-Sox Dad
Marucci has released two 2015 models similar to the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14). The 2015 Marucci Elite Limited Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE11) is a similar bat just in a drop -11. Then there is the 2015 Marucci Elite Limited Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE5) which is a drop -5.
Jake
I was trying to choose between the Marucci Elite 2014 or the 2014 CF6. Would you have a suggestion on which is hotter? Bothecubfan
The Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) features a two piece hybrid design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. It also features an evenly balanced swing weight. The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) features a two piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight. Additionally, it features the D-Fusion handle which does a nice job of absorbing the shock and vibration traveling through the bat. The CF6 does tend to have a little better performance in the long run than the Marucci Elite.
Joe
Can this bat be used in Little League play? Scotty
The Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) is a unique issue. There is some composite material present in the barrel but it is primarily alloy at the hitting surface. Given the language of the rules, I would say that the bat may not be allowed. It would be best to check with a league official or coach before ordering. If it is legal, it would only be usable in the Intermediate and Junior League divisions because of the barrel diameter.
Patrick
Is this bat legal for Dixie league 8U? They allow 2 5/8 barrels starting this year, but I didn't know if it was legal or not? easttexan
The rule changes to Dixie Youth leagues have not been entirely uniform across the board so it is tough to say whether they would allow the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14). There is also some composite material featured in the barrel of this bat so some leagues will disallow it. It would be best to ask a coach or league official before purchasing it to make sure it is legal for play.
Patrick
Is this bat legal for Dixie Youth baseball 9-10 years old? 2 5/8" bats are now allowed but want to make sure the BPF 1.15 makes it legal for Dixie. Blaine
Whether the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) is legal or not will depend per Dixie Youth League because the rules will very from league to league. To be positive I would check with your coach or the director of the league.
Allison
What size barrel does this bat have? Casey
The Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) has a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter.
Tom
Does this bat have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it? jd baseball
Yes, the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) does feature the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp.
Frankie
Does this bat have DYBA stamp on it? Tanya
There isn't a DYBA stamp on the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14). We would suggest double checking with the league to make sure it is approved for play.
Chinyere
How long is the barrel? Snax
Barrel size can vary based on the length of the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) that you get and your interpretation of what area would still be considered the barrel area. It has a long barrel compared to other bats in the same category.
Patrick
My son has played baseball for 3 years now and I was planning on getting him a 28 inch 18 ounce bat. Do you think that is a good size for him? He weighs about 50 pounds. Jon
The sizing we would suggest on a bat like the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) would depend on weight but also height of the player. If we had both pieces of information, it would be easier to find an accurate size for him.
Patrick
Is there much of a difference in the Marucci Elite Senior League at 27/17 and the Marucci Hex Alloy 27/17? Cat
Both the Marucci Elite Senior League (MSBE14) and the Marucci Hex Alloy are going to be well balanced bats, but the main difference will be the construction. The Hex Alloy is going to be a one-piece alloy bat while the Elite is going to have a composite handle, alloy barrel, and a composite end cap to help both reduce vibration and swing weight.
Marcus
My son is 70 pounds and 4' 4." Was thinking about a 28 inch 18 oz. What do you think?? thanks redseal
Based on your son's height and weight, the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) in a 28 inch 18 oz model would be a great choice.
Cameron
My son is 10, has been playing club ball for 3 years. He is about 80 pounds and around 4'10". What would be a good sized bat for him? He currently has a 28 inch drop 10 bat that's a bit too small for him. He cracked the end of it because the length was too short. Thank you Robin
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBE14 in a 30 inch 20 ounce model.
Cameron
How long would this kind of bat last without running out of pop? Will
It is hard to say how long this Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBE14 or any other bat will last before running out of pop or becoming defective as there are too many variables involved. Durability will come down to how many players are using the bat, if the bat is used for games/practices/lessons, etc, the weather (colder weather on a consistent basis can decrease life span of the bat quicker), care of the bat (if it is used to hit only baseballs or yellow dimple balls as well) and where on the bat the ball is consistently struck.
Cameron
Is this bat good for power hitters? Will
Yes, this Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBE14) will work well for a power hitter that is looking for a balanced swinging bat that has a -10 length-to-weight ratio.
Ben
How does barrel length on the Marucci Elite compare to the Marucci One if both bats are 30" long? 12uDad
When comparing barrel lengths, both the Marucci Elite Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBE14 and Marucci ONE Senior League Baseball Bat are fairly similar.
