Better than the Team of 2013 Ben player

Pros: Bat is incredibly balanced, only slightly less balance than the Rawlings VELO. Has great pop, and virtually no sting due to the Kevlar in the grip tape. Overall great bat, best BBCOR that I have swung with overall.

Cons: Slightly susceptible to paint chips, but other than esthetic appeal it doesn't really matter.

Great Bat Christian player

Pros: THE VERY FIRST TIME I WENT OUT AND HIT BP WITH THIS BAT I WENT 15 FOR 15 WITH 15 HOME RUNS!!! THE BALL CLEARED THE FENCE BY AT LEAST 50 FEET EACH TIME ON A 350 FOOT FENCE!!! Just kidding, nobody can do that, regardless of what other reviews might say. Instead of over exaggerating everything, I am going to express my honest opinion on this bat. To start, I like the way the bat looks. The design is simple, but it is sleek and it doesn't chip. The grip is also very good, it is good enough that you might not even need batting gloves. The grip also helps with sting control, and it controls it very well. My old bat was a TPX Z1000, and it stung pretty much everywhere except the sweet spot. This bat only stings a little bit off the very end of the barrel and the top of the handle, but most bats do that. Now, with the couple of times I have hit with it, i have noticed that this bat has great pop and very balanced weight distribution. The ball flies off of the bat, even when you think you dont

Cons: (continuation of above) think you got all of the ball when you hit it. The bat also has a satisfying "ping" sound, a sound that i never heard once with my Z1000, and i love it. I would recommend this bat for power hitters and line drive hitters, because of its even weight distribution and big sweet spot that comes with great pop.

Marucci One Max player

Pros: This bat is only the 2nd Marucci I've ever swung and i gotta say, they have yet to disappoint. I had the model that came before this (Marucci Team) and this one topped it. When you hit the sweet spot, the ball just trampolines. I was finding myself hitting gappers all season long. In some cases over they're head. I switched to the Easton Mako for this season and I gotta say, I'll be finding my way back to Marucci for 2016.

Very Nice Bat-Great Value from JustBats Aaron S. coach

Pros: -Great Price -Solid Feel -Plenty of Pop -Good Looking Bat...not neon and glow in the dark -Balanced

Cons: -None....cannot say enough about getting a bat for a good price that allows a kid to swing and get used to. This is a good value for somebody that has a kid transitioning from one size bat to another. BBCOR bats, drop 3 bats, they are a whole new world for some players, so dropping $450 on a bat that one is not sure somebody will even like, I am not convinced that is a wise thing to do. Try this bat you will not be disappointed.

Pros: This is the best BBCOR bat I have used. Great feel and pop and very balanced. I like it better than the Eastons and Demarini I previously used. I am a freshman high school jv player and also play travel ball. I have 2 of these bats - one for practice and one for game. They both get a lot of use and have held up well.

Cons: Not crazy about the grip so I replaced it with a lizard skin grip and it feels much better. That's my only complaint and is an easy fix for a new $12 grip.

Pros: I bought this bat this year for my HS Baseball team. The boys like it and a few swing it consistently, they like the balanced feel and the grip is very good. Great bat.... for 3 months Edvin player

Pros: This is a good bat that has decent pop and is very balanced. As soon as you take ut out if the wrapper, you will notice the inpractically large grip on the bat. I replaced this because it was too big, but I believe in doing so ths bat began to vibrate too much. It then lost all it's pop after just 3 months.

Cons: As noted above, the bat lost all of it's pop after just 3 months and wasn't replaced by marrucci. I had to call their company 3 times before getting an answer.

Pros: This bat has amazing pop good action off the barrel the swing feel is amazing probablly the best of any metal bat i've used.

Cons: If you're left handed just go get some lizard skin the grip is exclusivley for right handers. If play a long comptetive season bat may die at the very end. And the bat cant handle slow pitchers loses a ton of pop but when guys can throw it has the best of anything out there. But overall for the price cant complain wpuld recomend two at least

Still going strong DAP parent

Pros: Purchased 1 year ago for son moving into 14U. Wanted to get him a BBCOR bat to try out for Fall Ball league without spending a ton. Fast forward to Summer league and he stayed with the Marucci One despite having a Rawlings 5150 and Demarini CF7 in his bag. The bat is definitely showing signs of use at this point, but has as much pop as any other BBCOR. We just finished tryouts for next year's 15U and at last evening's hitting, after he cranked several balls to the fence the coach pitching asked "Is that bat drop 3?" My son said it was, but when he finished up and headed to the dugout the other coach took a look anyway to confirm, yep -3. My son got a spot on that team! I'm convinced now that you don't have to spend $400 on a great bat. All BBCOR's are +- a few percent in terms of "pop"--that's what the standard IS! Comes down to balance and what feels good to the player.

Cons: None to speak of--One piece bat will have some vibration if mis-hitting the ball. I actually LIKE the sting, instant feedback to my son that it wasn't a "sweet spot" hit.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

is this bat for power hitters and is it similar to the Cat5? JJbaseball
Yes, the Marucci ONE is very similar in design to the Cat 5 model. The Marucci ONE is a one-piece all alloy design. It will have a swing weight that is very similar to the previous Cat 5 model. Since the Marucci ONE is a stiff one-piece design it is ideal for the power hitters.
John
Can this bat be used for a power hitter? cihsvarsity
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult would be a good option for a power hitter who likes a balanced bat. The stiff flex of the one-piece design transfers the energy the hitter creates more efficiently to the ball on contact.
Mac
Can it be used for a contact hitter? cihs
Yes, the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult is a very balanced model. It would be great for a contact/line drive hitter.
Brandon
What has changed on the Marrucci One from the Team bats? Cam
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult features a slightly altered blend of materials that makes up the AZ3000 alloy and its profile has been redesigned to be much more similar to the CAT 5 (one of their most popular bat lines).
Mac
I am 15, 5' 8", and 130 pounds. I'm a contact/line drive hitter. I heard this is like the CAT 5 which was my favorite bat. Will this be a good balanced bat for me? Matthew
Definitely. The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult is a well-balanced model that would fit a contact/line drive hitter's playing style best. Marucci redesigned the ONE models to have a very similar bat profile to the CAT 5 you're used to.
Mac
What should I get? This, or the Marucci Elite? I'm looking for the most balanced bat. sean
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult is a one-piece alloy with a very balanced swing weight, but the Elite's "multilateral barrel technology" combines the lighter composite material with its alloy barrel. This allows it to have a more-balanced design than the ONE and one of the lightest swing weights on the market.
Mac
Should I get this or Marucci Black 2? I'm a power hitter. jon
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult bat is a balanced model. Generally a power hitter will prefer a more slightly end loaded model like the Marucci Black 2.
Aubrey
Which bat is better, the Marucci Team or the Marucci ONE? me
The Marucci ONE BBCOR is completely redesigned and is the closest model to the CAT 5 that Marucci has produced. The Marucci ONE has a new refined professionally-inspired shape. It comes with a wood-like knob that provides improved balance and a greater sense of control. It also features a ring-free barrel and thicker walls to provide more durability.
John H
What are differences between this and the CAT 5? 2
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult features a very similar profile to the CAT 5 BBCOR models, but the AZ3000 Alloy in the ONE models has been improved and offers better durability while still providing great performance. The balance and performance will be comparable between the two models.
Mac
I am 5'11" and weigh about 185 lbs. I'm a contact and a power hitter. Which bat would be better for me? The 2014 Marucci One or the 2013 Marucci Black 2? baseball is life
Both are great balanced bats. The Marucci Black 2 will be higher performing as it is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. You will have less vibration and more flex with the Marucci Black 2 than with the Marucci One.
Damon

The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult and the Easton S3 are both going to be comparable in their performance. The Marucci One is slightly more balanced.

The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult and the Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 2 BBCOR: BB12EX2 both have a balanced swing weight. They both feature a stiff one-piece alloy design as well. The Marucci ONE may be slightly more durable, however, both are great options.

Both the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) and the 2013 Rawlings feature a balanced swing weight. They also feature the one piece alloy design so their swing weights will be comparable.
Tessa L.
Is the Marucci CAT 5^2, the red and white one, still legal for high school? Also are they like the Marucci ONE with the balanced swing weight? need some help on which one to choose
The 33" and 34" models of the Marucci CAT 5^2 BBCOR: (MCB2) do not meet BBCOR standards and are not allowed for play in High School or College. This 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: (MCB1) Black Adult offers very similar balance and design to the CAT 5^2, but the ONE is approved for High School play and meets the BBCOR certification standards.
Mac
Now is the 32" in. 29 oz. cat 5^2 (red/white) legal for high school BBCOR and does it have the stamp? And is the Marucci one an improved model of it? Is it better?
The Marucci CAT 5 32" 29 oz. is legal in high school. It has the BBCOR stamp. The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) is the newest version of the CAT 5.
Kara
What is the difference between the (MCB1) bat and the Marucci Elite bat I purchased last year? Jim
This 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: (MCB1) Black Adult bat is a balanced one-piece alloy while the Elite is a two-piece seamless hybrid that features a "mutimaterial" barrel. The Elite is more balanced than the ONE because of that barrel design, but both bats are solid options that offer a stiff flex on contact.
Mac
I am a freshman in highschool and more of a line drive/contact hitter. Is this the right bat for me or what other bat out there is best for contact hitters? Jeremy
Yes, the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult would be a fine bat for you. Another great model for your type of hitting style would be the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR.
Brandon
What are the differences between the 2014 Marucci ONE and the 2013 Marucci Team? Ocho
The 2014 Marucci One features an entirely new profile inspired by Marucci"s Big League Board of Directors and was designed to be even more balanced than the 2013 Marucci Team. The improved balance is the result of the One"s new shape and wall thickness profiles. Players will also notice new professionally-inspired knob taper shapes, which many have said offers even better feel and control.
Tessa L.
Is the Marucci One BBCOR or the Marucci Team BBCOR better suited for contact hitters? And which one has a bigger sweet spot? Robert
The Marucci One was engineered from scratch and is a totally new bat compared to the Team line. Through player testing Marucci found most players were looking for better balance and bigger sweet spots, based on this feedback they designed the One line of bats with a new shape profile and a wall thickness optimized for sweet spot and balance improvements. The One is the better choice for most hitters.
Tessa L.
Is this bat a drop 8? I play in middle school. Is this the right bat for me? Cole Hampton
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) is a -3. If your middle school requires a BBCOR bat, the Marucci ONE is a great option. If they require a -8, the 2014 Marucci Black (MSBB148) is the good choice.
Kara

The Easton S3 is very similar to the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) Black Adult. They are both one-piece alloy designs with balanced swing weights.
Jason
Which is a better bat the Easton S3 or the Marucci ONE? Zach
It is hard to say which is best, these bats are very comparable. Both the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) and the Easton S3 BBCOR will feature a very balance swing, a large sweet spot, and a one-piece aluminum design. You would make a great decision either way!
Justin R.
I have a son that is playing middle school ball. He is 5'6" tall 120 lbs. He is a contact hitter. Would this bat be a good fit in 31-28? jim
Yes, the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) Black Adult would be a great bat for a contact hitter with its balanced swing weight.
Aaron
Can you compare the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: MCB1 Black Adult vs. the Black 2? Bill
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) is a one-piece alloy design. This bat is also very balanced. While the Marucci Black 2 BBCOR (MCBB20) is a Seamless two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel. This bat will also be very evenly balanced swing weight with an extended barrel for a larger sweet spot.
Kyle
I am 5 foot 8 inches tall and weigh 160 pounds. I hit mostly for power but i wanted to know if this would be a good bat for me. anthony
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) Black is a great option for a power hitter. It has a stiff flex and a durable alloy design that power hitters would prefer.
Patrick
I'm 5'7 120 lbs. Im a contact and occasional power hitter. Would this be a good bat for a first time bbcor user looking to have the fastest swing possible? What length would be best for me? Marshall
The 2014 Marucci ONE (MCB1) would be another good choice for you. It has new Anti-Vibration technology and is very well balanced as well.
Bobby
Which bat do you prefer; the 2014 Marucci ONE or the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault? I care about performance not the looks of it. baseballer
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) and the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault BBCOR (BBAS14-RR) will be very similar in terms of overall design and performance. They are both balanced similarly and are both durable one-piece alloy designs. Both meet BBCOR standards for performance. The preference for one or the other would come down to which brand you prefer.
Patrick
Should I get the Marucci One or the 2014 Easton S3 for high school, and I'm a contact hitter. bbbbb16
The Marucci ONE (MCB1) and the Easton S3 (BB13S3) are both one-piece alloy bats. They are equally high performing and have the BBCOR stamp. To decide on which bat comes down to personal preference.
Zach
Which current Marucci BBCOR -3 33/30 is most comparable to the CAT 5, the red and white model? need to know
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) or the Marucci TEAM (MCBT) would be the most comparable currently available bats to the CAT 5. They will be similar by design but the performance will not be as hot as on the CAT 5 due to performance restrictions since it's release.
Patrick
How does the Marucci One compare to the Easton XL3? Steve
The 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) will be more balanced than the end-loaded 2014 Easton XL3 (BB14X3). Other than that, both will be one piece BBCOR certified alloy bats.
Patrick
I didn't like the Maruccci Team series. Is this bat any similar to that line? Amir Burris
Yes, the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1) is the replacement model for the Marucci Team Series. The style of bat is very similar with a good balanced swing weight, although many of the issues with the Marucci Team were corrected with the Marucci ONE.
Kyle J.
Is the Marucci ONE legal for tournament and high school ball? nicholas

John H
Which bat would you suggest for a 5'3" 137 pound, 14 year old? A Marucci ONE or CF6? J-Boom52
If the player's game is more designed for power I would probably suggest the 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR: (MCB1). The one-piece, balanced, alloy design will be able to provide a lot of power, and will be hot right out of the wrapper. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR: (DXCFC) would be an excellent model for a contact hitter. The two-piece balanced design will provide a little bit of extra flex, and will be light weight for hitters to hit smoothly through the zone.
Merritt
What is the difference between the Marucci One and the Marucci Team? I prefer more of a balanced bat. which would you recommend? adrian
They are both very similar and balanced bats. I prefer the Marucci One over the Marucci Team.

John
Why is there a squared for the Cat 5? jo the hobo
The Marucci CAT 5 BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB2) or Cat 5 Squared is just the second year that the Cat 5 was offered. It is not an indication of a difference in design.
Patrick
My son is going into the 6th grade and has to start using a drop 3 bat. He is 5 foot 2 and 105 pounds. He is a power hitter. Would the Marucci ONE BBCOR or MCB1 Black be a better fit for him? Amy
The models that you asked about are the same bat. The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) is one of the color options for that Marucci ONE BBCOR model.
Patrick
I am a 13 year old kid who needs a new bat, I'm about 5'4 and 125 lbs and a contact hitter. Is this the bat for me? _Jackson24_
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) features a single piece full alloy design. Power hitters typically prefer a single piece model, however the balanced swing weight of this bat is usable by gap and power hitters. For a player of your size, our bat coach would recommend a 31" 28 oz. model.
Joe
I am 5 foot 4 and weigh 140 pounds. I want know which is better for me, a 32 inch, 31 inch or 33 inches? rcastrillo
Based on height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch size of the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black).
Patrick

The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black has a balanced swing weight and is typically considered a better option for a contact hitter.
Jason
I am about 5'7" and around 135 lbs. I'm a contact hitter, and I'm a 9th grader playing high school baseball. What size would you recommend? (Has to be -3 BBCOR) kholt01
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black.
Jason
I'm about 6'0" and around 200 lbs. I'm a power hitter. Do you think this is a good bat for me? cranepirate37
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black could be a great choice for you as a power hitter. It does feature a balanced swing weight, which can be preferred by contact hitters. However, it does feature a one-piece design. A power hitter will tend to prefer a one-piece bat because the one-piece design isn't as forgiving as a two-piece. Two-piece bats with a lot of flex can be a bad thing for a power hitter because it can cause loss of bat head control and a late whipping action.
Tessa
Is this bat better than the Rip-It Prototype? Erik romero
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) and the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403) are both nice options. The difference would be the feel. If you like an end-loaded bat, go with the Prototype. If you like a balanced model, go with the ONE.
Patrick
I am a 16 year old going into 11th grade. I am about 6'3" and around 165Ibs. I am a power and contact hitter. What size would you recomend? I am also looking a buy the bat pack with the CF7 and this bat. Do you think I should get one in 32 inches and one in 33 inches or just all one size? Sam
Sizing is preferential, however, based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black. If you would like two different sizes, that will give you options to test the different sizes to see which size feels most comfortable. Ultimately, it will be up to you. With regard to the ONE and your hitting style, I believe this would be an excellent choice. It features a balanced swing weight, which would be good to work on bat speed and bat control. It also has a stiffer one-piece design. A power hitter will tend to prefer a one-piece bat because the one-piece design isn't as forgiving as a two-piece. Two-piece bats with a lot of flex can be a bad thing for a power hitter because it can cause loss of bat head control and a late whipping action. A contact hitter will usually prefer a two-piece design because of the flex that it allows. Two-piece bats flex during your swing, causing a whip-like action that helps the head of the bat whip forward at the moment of contact, generating more inertia and power.
Tessa
Is this a -3 size bat? Jhelmen
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black features a -3 drop. It will be BBCOR certified and have a 2 5/8" barrel.
John
I'm 16 years old, 5 foot 8 inches, and 140 pounds, what size bat would you recommend? Ron Burgundy
Based on your height and weight I recommend getting the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) in a 31 inch.
Frankie
Im 6'1" 180 lbs. What size do you recommend? nickl
I would suggest a 33" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black).
Jake
How many hits do you recommend before using this bat in a game? ChristianHalbach
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black has an alloy barrel and is hot out of the wrapper. It can be used in a game from the first swing.
Jason
Is this bat Babe Ruth League approved? I am asking because I saw a couple of Marucci bats that are no longer on the approved list. Drew
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black is approved for play in the 13-15 and the 16-18 year old divisions of Babe Ruth because it is BBCOR certified with a 2 5/8" barrel diameter.
Jason
I know the Marucci ONE and the Marucci Team are very similar bats. Is either one slightly more balanced or end-loaded than the other? J Dub
The weight and balance of the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) is very similar to that of the Marucci Team BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBT). There would not be a noticeable difference between the two in terms of balance.
Patrick
I am 5'4" to 5'5" and 140 pounds. What size do you suggest? Dan
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black.
Jason
Is this bat a -3? I don't want to order something that is illegal. matt
Yes, the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black has a -3 length-to-weight ratio.
John
I am 14 and I am 5 foot 10 and I weigh 190 pounds. I am a solid kid and was wondering would this bat help any more than the Easton Mako? I hit balls over the fence easily and I was wondering if it would help. Can I have your honest opinion? Ned Kough
In general, I would say that if you are hitting homers easily it may be best to stick with whatever bat you are using. The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) is well balanced like the Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14MK) but they are different in most other aspects of the design. The feedback including sound and vibration felt by the hands will be different and the difference in material will lead to different durability levels. The ONE is a nice bat and would perform well but comparing it to the MAKO is tough given their major differences.
Patrick
I am 13 and this year I will be playing 14 year old baseball with a drop 3 bat and I am small for my age. Do u think this will be a good bat for me that helps me get it through the zone? Alex
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) is a well balanced design that should be good for a player adjusting to BBCOR bats.
Patrick
i am 5"7 165lbs. would a 33 inch work ok? zach stevens
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) in a 33/30 would certainly work for someone of your height and weight.
Cameron
Is this bat legal for a NAIA college? Hoovie
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black is going to be BBCOR certified so it is approved for high school and collegiate play (including NAIA).
John
I'm a singles and contact hitter. I need a balanced bat. The other bats I'm mainly looking at are the Louisville Slugger bats the Omaha 516 and the Select 716. How important do you think it is to use a two piece bat for someone with limited power? And what are the main differences between the Marucci ONE and the Louisville Slugger Omaha 516 because they are both one piece, balanced bats, but significantly different prices? NYfan
Using a one-piece versus a two-piece is essentially one of personal preference. Typically, power hitters will benefit more from a one-piece construction and contact hitters more so with a two-piece bat but that's not to say a power hitter doesn't prefer a two-piece or contact hitter a one-piece bat. As far as the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) being cheaper than the 2016 Louisville Slugger Omaha 516 BBCOR Baseball Bat this is going to be because of the Marucci being a 2015 model. All 2016 bats are going to be price protected by the manufacturer and thus cannot be adjusted until the next year's models come out (in the LS case the 2017 models). These two bats will have some slight differences but as far as one being able to produce significantly better than the other that would be one of personal preference/opinion.
Cameron
What's the difference between this bat and the Mizuno Generation? bravo1
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) and the 2015 Mizuno Generation BBCOR Baseball Bat (GENERATION-ADT) are going to be similar bats. They both feature balanced swing weights with one-piece alloy designs. The anti-vibration technology, grip tape and alloy used will be different but these differences will not make one bat considerably better than the other.
Cameron
What is the difference between this bat and the CAT 6? KyleC
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black and the CAT 6 are similar in the sense that they are both one-piece alloy designs that feature Marucci's AZ3000 Alloy. The differences are going to be in the features for the CAT 6. The CAT 6 features ring-free barrel technology for maximum performance, optimized barrel-end wall thickness for faster swing speeds, and the patented anti-vibration knob which eliminates sting while the Marucci ONE will not have these features.
John
Is the Marucci ONE a balanced or end loaded bat? baseball25
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black is going to be a balanced bat.
Cooper
I'm 5'7 & 160 pounds. Which size bat would be good for me? A 33/30 or the 32/29? stephen
Based upon your height and weight, I would recommend using a 32" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black.
John P
My son is 11. He is 4' 7" and weighs 62 lbs. Would this bat be OK or somewhat on the heavy side? He is more of a contact hitter, not a power hitter. Marc
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black is a bat that would be used by high school and college age players. If his league is requiring him to use a BBCOR bat (drop 3) then we would suggest going with a 30 inch 27 oz model as this would be the smallest option currently on the market. If he doesn't need a BBCOR, then go with a 29 inch 19 oz model or a 30 inch 20 oz model.
Cameron
My son is 11, he is 4' 7" and is 61 lbs. We have this bat in a 30" 20 oz. Is this an ok bat for him or is it a bit on the heavy side? He is a contact hitter, not a power hitter. Marc
Based on your son's height/weight, the Marucci One in a 30 inch 20 oz model would be a good bat. If bat speed is lagging slightly, you may want to consider going with a 29 inch 19 oz model.
Cameron
When it comes to BBCOR bats do you sell more alloy bats or composite bats? John
I would say that both alloy and composite bats are equally as popular. It really depends and varies based upon the player and the bat. The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black is a very popular and highly reviewed one-piece alloy design.
John P.
My son is 13 and he is 5'11". Would this be a good bat for him? This year he must use a BBCOR bat and I'm searching for a good bat. Ryan
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black would be a good bat for someone needing their first BBCOR bat. Based on his height, he is probably going to need a 32 inch model (would suggest a 33 inch but he probably won't be ready for this bat until he's 15 or 16). It will be a one-piece alloy construction with a balanced swing weight making it an ideal choice for contact and power hitters alike.
Cameron
What year is this bat? mandy
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black is a 2014 model.
John P.
My son is 12, 5'2" and 170 lbs. We are trying to get him ready for -3 bat. Is 32 inch 29 ounce the way to go? Chris
Based on his height and weight, we would recommend getting the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black in a 31 inch 28 ounce model. Based on his age, it may not be a bad idea to consider a 30 inch 27 ounce model. Ask one of his coaches to get a better idea on ideal fit.
Cameron
How does this bat compare to the CAT 6? I wanted another CAT 6 but don't have a lot of money. Will this bat be any where near the CAT 6 performance-wise and the way it's built? tk
Both the Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBC614 and the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black will be one-piece alloy designs, with balanced swing weights that will feature AZ3000 alloy. Main difference is the optimized barrel-end wall thickness for faster swing speeds that the Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBC614 will feature. In essence, they will have similar performance capabilities.
Cameron
What is the difference between the marucci one and the marucci team? greyhound baseball
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black is the new version of the Marucci Team model. The only difference between them is the cosmetics. These bats have the exact same structural design.
Angelique
Is it USSSA stamped? Keith
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black does not have a USSSA stamp. It has a BBCOR certified .50 stamp.
Angelique
does this bat replace the cat 5? nick
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black and the Marucci CAT 5 BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB2 are very similar bats. Both of these bats feature the same alloy. The bat that ultimately replace the Cat 5 was the Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBC614.
Cameron
Does this bat meet the guidlines of the Juniors/Intermediate section of the link. JT
No, this bat would not meet the Juniors/Intermediate division of Little League baseball. Both of those divisions require a drop weight of -12 down to a -5. This bat would a feature a drop weight of -3, as it is a BBCOR bat. This bat would be legal for the Junior and Big League divisions of Little League.
Nick
Whats the difference between this bat and the Marucci team and which bat would you prefer? Jojo
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1) Black is going to be the model that replaced the Marucci Team. They both will be a one-piece all balanced swing weight. The ONE will have a slightly larger sweet spot of the two.
John
My son is 5'10" and 145 pounds. Is a 33/30 bat too big for him? Canesfan22
Based upon your son's height and weight, I would recommend using a 32" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black.
John P.
My son is 13, 5'4" and 136 pounds. He has been out of baseball for a few years and I was thinking about getting him a bat with which he can swing quicker. Previously, he had a hard time keeping up with the speed of the pitches. What BBCOR bat would you recommend? Noah
Based upon your player's height and weight, we would make a general recommendation of a 31" model of BBCOR baseball bat. Sadly, we will not have a 31" models of this Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) in stock at JustBats. If you were interested in a solid 31" BBCOR bat from Marucci, I would recommend viewing the CAT 6 (MCBC614). As long as you feel your player can handle the 28 oz weight of the 31" model, I would recommend the CAT 6 in that size.
Ben
My son is 5'3" and 110 pounds. What size bat would he need? blake
Based upon your son's height and weight, I would recommend using a 30" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black.
John P.
How does this bat's swing weight and pop compare to the swing weight and pop of the Louisville Slugger Omaha 516? luke
This Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) will be a single-piece, all-alloy bat just like the Omaha 516. The swing weights between the two bats will be very similar overall and I would say that the performance a player will see off the two bats is very similar as well (this Marucci ONE hasn't got as high of a "pop" rating as the Omaha 516, but I feel the bats will rate similarly).
Ben
I am 5'1" and 100 pounds. What bat size do you recommend for me? calen
For your height and weight we recommend a 29" if you are using a BBCOR bat. For USSSA we recommend a 31" length.
Angelique
is this legal for little league dan
The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black will be legal for the Senior and Big League divisions of Little League baseball.
Nick
I'm 5'7" and 155 pounds. I'm a power hitter. What kind of bat do you recommend? Riley baseball
For your height and weight we recommend a 32" length bat. Power hitters generally prefer one-piece bats as they are more stiff and allow players to solely exert their own force on the ball. The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black has a one-piece alloy construction that is suitable for a power hitter.
Angelique
Im 6,0 and 185lbs, what size BBCOR should i buy? TJ
Based on your height and weight, I would recommend that you swing a 34" length.
Nick
I am 6' 2" and 220lbs I am a power hitter and I am looking for a reasonably priced BBCOR bat that is well balanced and has great pop. What should I get? Dalton
Based upon your height and weight, I would recommend using a 34" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black.
John P.
I am 5'8" 162 lbs. What length of the bat should I use? Nick

Based on your current height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black. You can move up to the 33" if you are comfortable with your bat speed and control of the 32".
Jason
Which bat is better the Marucci One or the Rip-It Helium? my is jeff hello
This Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) and the RIP-IT Helium will be a little bit different in their design. This Marucci ONE is a one-piece, all-alloy bat while the RIP-IT Helium is a multi-piece, all-alloy bat. If I were to make a recommendation, I would recommend this Marucci ONE over the Helium as this Marucci ONE has solid performance reviews and displays much better durability than the Helium from RIP-IT.
Ben
I'm 13, 5'8" and 180 pounds. I use a 31" bat. Should I get a longer bat? Eddie
Based on your height and weight I would recommend a 32" or 33" Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black)

Which bat would perform better, the Cat 7 or the Marucci ONE? dinger
I would have to say that the CAT 7 should be the higher performing model when compared to this Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black). The CAT 7 will feature new AZ4X Alloy which is designed to be upgraded alloy when compared to the AZ3000 alloy on this Marucci ONE. That upgraded alloy on the CAT 7 should be able to perform higher.

The Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCB1 Black) is BBCOR certified and would be an excellent option for you in high school.

I enjoy hitting with this bat but I am looking for a newer bat. Is there a newer bat that feels and swings similar to this bat? Ericson Brown
Unfortunately Marucci is not making the Marucci ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCB1 Black anymore. The most comparable model would be the Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBC614. The CAT 6 utilizes the same AZ3000 alloy barrel.
