My daughter loved this bat! TB Mom parent

Pros: Her team got to test out two of these bats: one in 31/21 and one in 32/22. Both sizes are too small for my daughter, but she was very impressed with the bat anyway. It has awesome pop, no sting. I was watching the girls hit and I saw tons of really hot shots coming off the bat.

Cons: cost, just like every other top bat.

Daughter loves it! Tlong parent

Pros: I have a 14 year old daughter who has been using the 2012 xeno. This bat is everything that bat is and then some. I've been pitching the same amount of softballs to her in bp and she is definitely hitting the ball further out of the park than she did with the xeno. Loved the Xeno, but this bat may have topped it.

Cons: Not sure about the durability.

Pros: Very nice pop off the bat. Great feel Nice look

Cons: Bought 2 bats. Both were used in 9 games and practice over a 30 day period. My two girls hit great with them. Both bats cracked within a day of each other during game conditions. If they get replaced under the warranty by the company I will be happy. Thought they would hold up better.

Great pop but terrible durability RE Kirby parent

Pros: 14U daughter got this bat as replacement for deMarini CF6. She loved the pop when hitting away and the lack of sting when slapping with this bat.

Cons: We've gone through 2 of them in 45 days. The first one splintered in a spiral fashion and the second one broke at the end cap area.

Pros: Great pop right from the start. My daughters is the lead off hitter on our travel team and power stats have increased 35 percent. We are 30 days into use and the bat continue to perform superbly.

Cons: Have seen some reviews on durability...we will see. Our team has three of these bats and all of the have the epoxy left outside of the end cap...attention to detail by Worth would be nice.

Awesome pop!!!! J.Ro07 player

Pros: This bat has more pop than any other bat we used in the past... It has a lot of zip coming off the bat. We got tired of buying a new demarini every season and them not honoring the warranty.. So far this bat rocks....

Cons: Durability could be a problem. As most bats seem to be, but hopefully if we have any problems worth will honor their warranty....

Worth Legit2 Junior & J24 parent

Pros: The pop of this bat is a head-turner... my daughter hit her first 200' shot in March at age-12!

Cons: Returned last year's bat (handle broke into the barrel). Worth honored the warranty, but that bat looks like a cheap knock-off of original. Decided to purchase the new Legit2 (33''/23oz.) endcap came flying off in batting practice - the bat isn't even 3 weeks old?! Asked for refund - cannot see purchasing another Worth Bat.

Not buying another Worth Liz parent

Pros: Recommended by my 15 yr old daughter's coach. Bought it, my daughter love it. Great hits!

Cons: End cap broke in under a month. Needed a bat for Nationals in Virginia so bought the same bat at Baseball Plus in Hicksville. Used the second bat for 1 game and 3 hours of softball camp where hitting was minimal. Next day, as we were loading to go to Virginia, my daughter noticed that the barrel is broke. Second bat was purchased 9 days ago. Worth said that the second bat can be returned to the store Where I purchased it based on the 30 day performance trial. contacted the store and I am waiting for them to talk to Worth and honor this 30 day thing. First bat has to be sent back to Worth. In the meantime, no bat for Nationals in San Diego next week week. Will not buy another Worth but will be stuck with it once the first bat is replaced. Not worth the aggravation!!!

Disposable bat? Cody parent

Pros: Great pop out of the wrapper. Color scheme stands out. No sting

Cons: With great pop out of the wrapper, comes little to no durability. My bunting and slapping 70lbs daughter has broken 2 of these so far. The first started rattling the first time she used it. Eventually it broke just above the black rubber piece. The replacement was not very impressive, tag or paper hanging out from between the end of the bat and the end cap. I had to trim it flush with the barrell so that she could use it. It looked like a piece of gravel got under the bat wrap as it had a large lump that my daughter had to avoid by choking up. Then it broke on her 4th at bat with it. The end cap flew off and had broken in multiple places. She has gone through the month of July with no bat which kind of stinks for the multiple nationals she is playing in.

Save your receipt G Ward - Cleveland, OH parent

Pros: Excellent pop - nice look - USA MADE WORTH HONORS IT'S WARRANTY - Save your receipt, especially if the bat was purchased before July 2014. The bat has performed so well that I feel it is worth taking the time to get the replacement and continue to use it hoping the engineering fix solves the problem.

Cons: Cost - Durability -- We are on our 3rd 2-legit bat ... 2 replacements after end cap broke off. Original bat lasted 64 days, 2nd bat lasted 7 days, will let you know about the 3rd bat. I was told that engineering has made the correction and that any bats released after June 2014 should be good to go.

Cons: She has had this bat for less than 3 months and the end cap blew out. We felt this bat would be a little bit better in quality than that. Just got the new replacement today but under Worth warranty you only get 1. I feel like they should take care still warranty till original purchase date. Performance All the Way Chuck in San Diego parent

Pros: 16U travel ball daughter loves this bat. This is the second one. She is a contact hitter but can take them sneaky long with this bat. This is a hot, hard hitting bat. She didn't like the color at first but has got over it.

Cons: Will not use this bat in the cages with machine balls. Had the first bat break after a couple of months but this one has gone longer. She uses a CF4 for the cage pounding. Have not lost a Demarini to breakage but she says this bat has more pop so it's the game bat.

Pros: Love the performance! The pop is great. Worth honors their warranty!!!! GREAT return department. CS is wonderful and they are understanding. They are still working out the "bugs" in this model and will replace the bats with the old end cap. Easy working with their Returns department. If you can get passed the flaws, it is a great bat!

Cons: We are on our 4th/5th bat in 6 months. End cap separated 4 times and cracked the barrel once. We have a slapper so it's not like she is a heavy hitter. The bat seems to be too fragile.

Not made for power hitters at all!!!! Joe R parent

Pros: This bat gives girls that don't have much power, Power! Watched girls on the team that are smaller than most with minimal power, base hit hitters, smoke shots into the outfield with these 2ligits. It has the thinnest outer wall ever on a bat giving more reflex.

Cons: Any girl with any power will brake this bat very quick! Only took my daughter roughly a tournament and a half to brake the first one, and now the second one that hasn't seen any games yet is now broken to the point where I shake the bat and you can hear different things inside rattling around . O and the end cap is coming off. The outer wall being so thin is no good for power hitters.. DONT BUY THIS BAT IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF POWER.... Tessa L.
How much of an advantage would a girl have using this bat over last year's Worth Lithium Storm -13 bat of the same length? DumbDad
The 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC Fastpitch Softball Bat) will feature a four-piece fully composite design. It will also feature a multi-layer composite core for exceptional rebound and durability. This bat will give the hitter more pop, flex, balance, and durability without any hand sting or discomfort. It will provide a better feel, performance, and materials compared to the Worth Lithium Storm.
Brandon
How would you compare the four-piece design of this bat with bats that have a one-piece design? My daughter has the Synergy one-piece design now and has a power rating of over .800. I don't know whether to get the 2 Legit or stick with a one-piece bat. jewel
The four-piece design of the 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC) Fastpitch Softball Bat will have a considerable amount more flex through the zone than the Easton Synergy. In general, power hitters tend to prefer a more stiff flex to allow them more control. The flex in a multi-piece design allows for a whipping motion that helps to generate more bat head speed at the point of contact. Power hitters may not need that added whip and it may throw their swing off.
Patrick
Is this bat 2014 USSSA sanctioned? LindA
Yes, the 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC) does feature the USSSA 1.20 BPF stamp.
Bobby
How does the 30 day guarantee work? MikeA
The 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC) 30 Day Performance Guarantee is covered by the manufacturer. In this case, Worth.
Gary T.
If I buy the bat from you, to whom do I return it? #7 mom
If the bat is purchased through www.justbats.com, and has not been used, it can be returned on our website using the returns link in the top right hand corner of the website. If the bat is damaged however, the warranty will be handled primarily through the manufacturer.

Is the Worth 2 Legit legal for PIAA high school softball? TommyK
The 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC) Fastpitch Softball Bat has all the correct certifications and has a 1.20 BPF rating. The Worth 2 Legit is legal for high school play.
Jason
Worth 2 Legit or Easton MAKO. I'm 14 yrs old. I like a balanced bat. I have fast bat speeds and I'm a power hitter. What bat do you recommend? Alexis33
The 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC Fastpitch Softball Bat) would be an exceptional choice for you. Not only is it be very balanced, but it will work well for a power hitter or a contact hitter. The DeMarini CF7 and Easton MAKO would also be some top notch choices.
Brandon
Is this bat legal for high school ball and 16u travel even though it does not have the ASA stamp? SoftballMom0123
The 2014 Worth 2 Legit (FPLGC) does feature the ASA stamp. It can be hard to see in the picture but it is on the end of the barrel. The 2 Legit would be legal for all levels of play.
Patrick
When will the 2015 be out on the market? I read about all the bat failures with this model. How many times will Worth replace it during the 1 year time frame? Also, how does it compare to the new 2015 Ricketts model? eric
Although they have not come out with a definite release date, we are expecting the 2015 version of the Worth 2 Legit Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLGC) to come out in early summer. All early information indicates that they have made changes to the design to help greatly improve durability and any issues seen with the previous model. I cannot speculate on how the warranty will work until that information is released from the manufacturer. It will, once again, be considered their top of the line bat that should have an improved feel over the 2015 Worth Keilani Legit Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPL511).
Patrick
Are there any weather restrictions for the 2015 2 Legit? Is there anything specific she needs to do to break the bat in? Dirtbike
The Worth 2 Legit Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLGC) would have similar weather restrictions to most bats. In weather below 55 degrees, the ball can condense and become harder than a standard softball and can damage the bat. We would recommend between 50-100 swings of soft toss or tee work with the bat while rotating the barrel to break it in. You should start with about 50% power and work your way up gradually to 100%.
Patrick
Break-in instructions? portager
The Worth 2 Legit Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLGC) will not require too much of a break-in process. I would recommend between 50-100 hits of soft toss or tee work while rotating the barrel of the bat about a quarter turn per hit. Start out about 50% power for the first 20 hits or so then gradually work your way up. This ensures an even break-in without damaging the bat.
Patrick
Is the 2015 Worth 2 Legit stamped and approved for NSA use? ice
The Worth 2 Legit Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLGC) does feature the NSA stamp making it approved for use in fastpitch softball sanctioned by those rules.

About the Brand

Worth, Inc. can trace its beginning back to the year 1912, when George Sharp Lannom, Jr. purchased a tannery in Tullahoma, Tennessee and established the Lannom Manufacturing Company. Initially, the firm tanned leather for harnesses and horse collars they manufactured. However, as the automobile grew in popularity, the demand for the company's harnesses and collars declined, so Lannom shifted its manufacturing resources toward production of leather covered baseballs and softballs under the "Worth" brand, and men's leather dress gloves under the "Craig" brand.

Charles (Chuck) E. Parish joined Lannom in 1930 as a salesman and married G.S. Lannom, Jr.'s daughter, Martha Lannom several years later. Following Mr. Lannom's death, Parish acquired controlling interest in the company, which led to a division of company assets between himself and Lannom's son G.S. Lannom III. Lannom maintained the glove works while Parish, "The Baron of Baseballs," built the Lannom baseball business into the world's largest manufacturer of baseballs.

Upon graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1959, Chuck Parish's son, John, joined the Lannom organization. He persuaded his father to expand the company's Caribbean operations and enter the baseball bat business in 1970. In 1975, following the death of his father, John Parish took over the reigns of the company. Under his leadership, the company diversified and expanded its production line and developed the personnel, technical know-how, and physical facilities to become one of the largest and most financially sound manufacturers in the entire sporting goods industry.

The WorthSports Company was formally organized in 1975 as the sales and marketing arm for all sporting goods products and divisions of Lannom. In addition to the normal marketing functions, Worth also emphasizes and provides new product research and development. In fact, the emphasis placed on this development is largely responsible for Worth's leadership role in the sporting goods industry.

When Worth entered the bat business all bats were made from Northern White Ash. Worth then established wood mills in Pennsylvania and New York to provide the strong but relatively lightweight ash wood stock. Then directions were shifted to aluminum and other composites and in 1968 Lannom Manufacturing produced its first aluminum bat. The company's Jess Heald was primarily responsible for its development. The sale of aluminum bats to amateur baseball and softball players mushroomed in the 70's, helping Lannom achieve record results. In 1994, because of market demands, more emphasis was placed on the aluminum division and an expansion was completed in Tullahoma.

One of the first and most significant results of the R&D program was the development of the Polyurethane (Poly-X™) core for baseballs and softballs. This one innovation revolutionized the entire softball world; up to this time, the traditional softball core was constructed of cork and latex. Worth, through the use of "petrochemical" formulation, created a softball that was more consistent in performance and demonstrated extended durability, thereby setting the stage for the establishment of formal specifications and standards for the industry. More recently, the expanded research and development team has made another revolutionary addition to the aluminum bats called the SuperCell EST (Exterior Shell Technology) Bat.

One product Worth is very proud of is its RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseballs and softballs. Introduced in baseballs in the late '80's, the RIF design features a polyurethane center that makes the ball softer than the traditional yarn wound ball, while keeping the weight, size and liveliness. The balls are used mainly in youth leagues, where safety is of major concern. The technology is now being used in Worth softballs as well. New technology is constantly being developed to revolutionize the softball industry as we know it today.

In 2007, Worth was acquired by Jarden Corporation and is now a division of Rawlings and Jarden Team Sports.
