Description

The Axe handle was a truly revolutionary concept when it was first introduced. Now, it's developed into a must-have for players around the country that are looking to bring power and consistency to their game! The Axe Avenge starts out with a two-piece composite design constructed from Plus Plus Composite that features the lightest, most durable carbon fiber on the market. Reinforced on the hitting side of the barrel using the Axe's new Engineered Hitting Zone, Plus Plus Composite makes it possible to have superior composite performance with the Axe handle. This year's model features a much more elongated barrel that delivers a HUGE sweet spot! But it's the handle that really makes this bat stand above the rest. Refined this year with improved ergonomics that deliver better performance and comfort, the Axe handle looks exactly like what it sounds like - the handle of an axe. It defies conventional thinking, but the Axe handle fits perfectly in your hands, pushing the bat to the fingertips where it's supposed to be. The Axe handle's oval nature establishes a single swing plane for ridiculously consistent performance, swing after swing! Axe is so confident that you'll love this bat, that they are offering a 30 day, no questions asked, money-back guarantee. If the Axe handle isn't for you, simply send it back. What do you have to lose? Get the power of an Axe in your hands! The Axe Avenge is approved for play in Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony, AABC, and features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Axe: Unleash Your Swing! Free Shipping!

Pros: when reviewing bats for my 8 year old son it was between this or the more popular mako, I chose this because of its unique handle design. It took a minuet to get used to but now he loves it. As far as performance he went from hitting in the infield with his old aluminum to getting hits in the outfield with this composite bat.

Cons: none though maybe wish it was a little more end loaded, however this bat is very well balanced for a quick swing.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Axe Avenge Youth Baseball Bat: L142B? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My boy is 10 1/2 years old, 4'8", and 77 lbs. I'm looking at three bats. The CF7, the Mako XL, and this one. Does this bat compare to the other two? If you had the choice, which bat would go in his bag? Thank you. wolvi501
The 2015 Axe Avenge Youth Baseball Bat (L142B) would be a very high performing Youth bat. The CF7 and MAKO XL are actually more popular selections though. All three are very balanced in swing weight and fully composite in material. The Axe Avenge will have the most comfortable handle and knob. The MAKO XL will have the longest barrel length. The CF7 will feature the D-Fusion handle piece, which will eliminate the hand sting and vibration on mishits. You can't really go wrong with any of these!

I want a bat with a long barrel. Does the barrel length of the Axe, compare to the Flex or Mako? Which is longest? Dad
The 2015 Axe Avenge Youth Baseball Bat (L142B), 2015 Anderson Flex Youth Baseball Bat (YB15FLEX) and the 2015 Easton MAKO Youth Baseball Bat (YB15MK) all have fairly good sized barrels within that youth category and would all compare very well in terms of performance. The MAKO has a slight edge over the other two in terms of barrel length but the size of the actual sweet spots of the bat should be pretty similar.

About the Brand

Launched by Baden Sports in 2011, the Axe line of bats was hailed as a breakthrough in bat technology by players and coaches from youth leagues to the Pros. The makers of the Axe line of bats often pose the question, "What does your traditional knob do for you?" Most players don't have a good answer. Axe engineers have created a handle that is not only more comfortable and safer in terms of hand injuries, but also helps improve the hitter's swing by keeping them on an even plane. Although Axe is new to the market, they are backed by Baden Sports, Inc., an independent, family-owned company that has been making baseball products since 1979. Their passion to create a better game is unparalleled, making it no surprise that the Axe handle is set to be baseball's next big thing.
