Mr S Wood player

Pros: The CF6 and CF7, both seem to have more pop and less vibration than the CF5, are very similar in performance and swing weight.

Cons: The CF6 is quite a bit cheaper than the CF7, if you can find one.

Amazing Daniel Faccini player

Pros: i love this bat, it is my first bbcor bat. Being a little worried i wont get enough bat speed to drive the ball i got a 30 inch. Balance: the balance is amazing for a bbcor bat Sweet Spot/Pop: i love the pop on this bat, personally i think it has more pop but its really personal preference. the sweet spot is fairly big for a 30 inch bbcor bat. Vibration: In my experience i have had ZERO vibration! a really good plus for me :D General Feel: This bat has a really good feeling when you square up a ball, its different from my 2014 Easton XL1, but in a good way.

Cons: Better Grip would be nice. Buying a bat is honestly up to what kind of hitter you are and your preferences, always swing the bat before buying it. Good Luck finding the bat that's right for you!

BOOM Dingersfordaysss player

Pros: This bat rocks. I have had it for about a month and hitting with it everyday, the bat is already broken in. The pop is insane. In my last tourney, hit a huge double about 320 to the wall and that ball jumped off my bat! Feel is very nice and the vibration is practically none thanks to the cool handle. The sound is a nice and clean "smack" and the ball absolutely jumps off this bat. Even the singles I hit off my front foot at times would get off the barrel quickly. Definitely recommend this bat!

Cons: Grip is ok. Might want to put a lizard skin on it. Depends on how you feel

Pros: Amazing feel and pop. Definitely be hitting dingers with this bat. I got the Rip-it Air Elite and the connection part separated. I returned that to get the best bat on the market.

Cons: This bat does not require a "cons" section it's so BA.

SAME THING AS CF6!!!! Jack Miller player

Pros: Great bat. I love it. Same as last one. Good Pop Good balance.

Cons: I upgraded to this from the CF6 and there literally is no difference. This is just demarini trying to grab more money... I would definitely just save $200 and go with last years.

Best BBCOR Gman player

Pros: This things is so light. Went to a demo tried this against the louisville slugger 915, Mako, Mako Torq, and Louisville Slugger 715. This things barrel is massive and the ball flies off the bat, you don't really even feel the ball just a light impact on the bat. Has a great sound and I'm looking forward to wrecking with this thing in highschool

Cons: Everyone keep checking it out and wanting to use it also the barrel gets kinda marked up but that happens when you hit baseballs, but wanted it to stay pristine for just a few weeks longer

Get the mako mp44 player

Pros: One of if not the lightest bats out there

Cons: Previously have always owned demarinis (Cf4, 5, 6) but now they are losing to easton. This bat is lighter than the cf6 and mako, but far less pop. Also as I am older this bat feels too light, like there is not enough weight in the barrel. For this price point, I would go with the mako

Awesome Bat samw16 player

Pros: This bat has a lot of pop. It feels good in your hands and the 2-piece construction gives you the whip feeling through the zone. I have had this bat for 3 weeks and have hit with it in cages and the ball flies of the bat. I would reccomend this bat to any contact hitter. If you want a BBCOR bat, get this one!

Cons: The grip wears away a little to quick, but a $10 lizards skin can fix that.

Excellent Performance Marc parent

Pros: The bat is extremely balanced which allows for generation of greater bat speed from a smaller player swinging his first BBCOR bat. The bat is well constructed and lives up to its excellent reputation. The bat is the first choice for middle school teammates who always want to use it.

Cons: The grip could use significant improvement. It is soft but is showing signs of wear early in the bat's life.

All CF7s not created Equally Dave parent

Pros: Easy to Swing. Looks Great. Feels Great. Worth the money with a caveat. The CF7 -5 is the only bat to buy if your son is going to swing this model. It has the most Pop of any legal BAT I have seen. That is compared to the -8 CF7, Mako and other Easton Bat models. The -5 is at least 15 to 20 feet further than the -8 on almost every fly ball. Ground balls that were getting gobbled up by the infielders are now getting through with ease. This is watching hundreds of swings with each bat and other bats, batting practice, live practice, and games.

Cons: The -8 has about the same pop as any $80 dollar Bat off the rack at any sporting goods store. I am not sure of the difference between the -8 and the -5, but hopefully they will narrow the gap in the CF8. I gave this Bat a 4 star rating on POP because the Pop on the -8 is very average, but the -5 is hard to believe it until you see it over and over again.

Its ok A Player player

Pros: Its super light and efficient. Very easy to swing and is very good for contact hitters.

Cons: Well, first off it's very flexible or even bends every time you hit the ball so power gets taken away. Not for power hitters or hitters looking to hit the ball far.

Luck of the draw Will coach

Pros: Nice balance bat.

Cons: My son plays USSSA 10U on a AAA. We have 6 of these bats in our team. 2 of the bats (2 3/4) were bought before the end of 2015, 3 (2 3/4) were bought in January, and 1 (2 5/8) in February of 2016. The 3 bats that were bought in January are already severely cracked. We practice in an indoor facility and ONLY baseballs have been hit with this bat. Very disappointing as we own a CF6 and we never had any issues with it.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this bat more or less balanced than the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC)? Joey
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be more balanced than the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Damon
Regarding weight, is the 2015 DeMarini CF7 or Voodoo lighter, and how so? Also, what improvements has DeMarini made to the new CF7 compared to the previous model, the CF6? Mason
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR (DXCFC) will have a lighter swing weight than the Voodoo Overlord. This is because the CF7 is balanced while the Voodoo is end loaded. This year's CF7 is made with a flame tempered composite that gives it a stiffer feel and eliminates vibrations.
Bobby
Is this virtually the same bat as the same bat as 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR materials wise? If not what's the difference? TyRy
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a different end cap than the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) that leads to an even better balance to the bat and a lower M.O.I.
Patrick
How does CF7 compare to Easton S1 in extended barrel length and balanced swing weight? cam
The Easton S1 and **PRE-BOOK** 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would definitely be very similar. The two-piece full composite design and balanced swing weights would be very equal. The barrel lengths would also be very equal. The CF7 will feature a D-Fusion handle to eliminate more hand sting and vibration on mishits.
Brandon
How does the BBCOR CF7 compare to the BBCOR CF5 for balance, pop, and feel? Trying to decide if we should upgrade to the CF7. What is the advantage of the CF7 over the CF5? baseball fan
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will feature some upgraded technology from the CF5 model from a few years back. The CF7 is made from a new composite material--Paradox + Composite--which is a higher performing and more durable composite. The CF7 also features the all new D-Fusion FT handle, which will help to dampen vibration and sting on your hands as well as extends the sweet spot through the barrel.
Tessa
Is there really that much of an improvement on how far the bat makes the ball go from the CF6? Or are the improvements just less vibration and a stiffer feel? Does flame tempering the bat really improve the pop of the bat? Chattanooga Central Pounders Baseball
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXCFC) will incorporate the same Paradox Carbon Composite Fiber in its barrel as seen in its 2014 model. This material will have a similar performance in terms of pop and performance. Therefore, the biggest difference is just going to be added technology to reduce vibrations and durability. The flame tempering is going to create an added stiffness which helps players have a little bit better control. Overall, it will be fairly similar, just subtle differences to help improve comfort and performance.
Merritt
I'm just starting to have to use BBCOR. Which bat would be better for me to use between a CF7 or XL1? Nolan
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be better balanced and will make the transition easier to the heavier weight. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would be more end-loaded and would make it a tougher swing of the bat.
Patrick
Which bat is better for a contact hitter between the 2015 CF7 or the 2015 Easton S1? Jeff Vevurka
Both the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) are great models for a contact hitter. They are both well balanced and top of the line. They are extremely similar in terms of overall design and performance. The preference between the two would come down to brand preference and aesthetics.
Patrick
Which bat has a lighter swing weight: the CF7 or the NVS? Tim
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) has an extremely balanced design with a light swing weight. However, the Vexxum NVS is even lighter and more balanced than the CF7.
Jason
How does the BBCOR CF7 compare to a BBCOR Easton MAKO Torq? For pop, feel, and balance? Which would be better for a high school team? hw27
The 2015 Easton MAKO Torq and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would both be incredible bats for a high school team. Both will be fully composite designs with a very light swing weight. Neither will feel barrel heavy. The pop and feel will also be very similar as well.
Brandon
What bat is better for a contact hitter with flashes of power: this bat or the 2015 Easton S1? alex2
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the Easton S1 are very similar to each other, since they both feature a two-piece fully composite design. Both bats feature the same balanced swing weight, so it is tough to say which would be better for your hitting style. It will truly be a matter of brand preference, since both models are top of the line bats from their respective manufactures.
Tessa
I am deciding between a CF7 and CF6. I am a pretty good power hitter. Which one is lighter and more balanced? northern knights 13
The Paradox + Composite and Low Pro End Cap combine to give the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) a slightly more balanced swing weight compared to the CF6. The CF7 is the higher quality bat of the two, but the CF6 is still a great model and is well-balanced.
Mac
What is the difference between the CF6 and CF7? Homer hitter
The Paradox + Composite and Low Pro End Cap combine to give the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) a slightly more balanced swing weight compared to the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). The CF7 is the higher quality bat of the two, but the CF6 is still a great model and is well-balanced as well.
Patrick
I am 6 feet tall and weigh 155 pounds. I'm the number 4 batter on my team and I'm in 8th grade. Out of the CF7, Vexxum, and S1, which bat do you prefer? Cerbo23
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC), 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC), and the 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) are all nice models. The preference would come down to brand preference and whether you wanted an alloy barrel like the Vexxum or a composite barrel like the CF7 or S1. Based on your height and weight we would suggest a 33 inch size of whichever bat you choose.
Patrick
Does this bat come in a case? sean
No, the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will not come with a case.
Tessa
Q: Will the CF7 BBCOR or S1 BBCOR have a bigger barrel length? Could you please get exact measurement comparing 2014 and 2015 S1 to CF7. I'm only asking this much because I do not have a lot of money and very rarely buy bats. Thank you. joe
The 2014 S1, 2014 CF6, 2015 S1, and 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) should all have the same barrel length. If you would like to know the exact measurements here is the direct numbers to call: DeMarini-1-800-937-2287 and Easton 1-888-259-1297.
Brandon
I am 14 and have to change from a Senior League bat (-5) to either a BBCOR or wood bat. Right now I am thinking about getting either the CF7, Easton Mako Torq or the DeMarini Sugar Daddy (which is half wood half metal). Which bat would have the most pop for someone of my age? Druzick48
The DeMarini "Sugar Daddy" that you mentioned is actually the DeMarini Pro Maple Wood Composite Bat BBCOR Baseball Bat (S243) which is half wood and half composite rather than metal. All three bats are BBCOR certified meaning the performance or "pop" on all three will be similar. BBCOR certifications require the bats the adhere to the same performance limits. What you will want to look for and what you end up paying for is the feel of the bat (balance, sting prevention, etc.) and the durability of the bat which indicates how long that peak performance you are wanting to see will last.
Patrick
I am 6 feet tall and weigh 135 pounds. I am currently swinging a 31 inch S2. Could I move up to a 33 inch in the CF7? JTD27
Based on your height and weight, a 32 or 33 inch 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would work well.
Patrick
Is this bat all composite? gonna buy it
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is a two-piece fully composite bat.
Jason
Which one will be better for me: this bat or the new Easton MAKO? I'm a contact hitter with power, I can hit line drives gap to gap. mike
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2015 Easton MAKO are both high performance models from their respective manufacturers. Between the two, the MAKO may be better suited for your hitting style, since (in addition to the balanced swing weight) it features an extended barrel, which is generally preferred by power hitters. The CF7 features the D-Fusion FT handle, which helps to dampen vibration and sting as well as extends the sweet spot through the barrel. It will truly be a matter of brand preference.
Tessa
Which bat is more balanced between the CF7 and the new 2015 Easton S1? sfbball
Both the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the Easton S1 are extremely balanced bats. One will not be more balanced than the other.
Jason
can you use this in very cold weather? raytw
We don't recommend using the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC along with any other bat in under 55 degrees due to the baseball becoming much denser in the cold. When the baseball becomes denser it leads to a higher percent chance of damaging the bat.
Ryan
Is there a difference between the swing weights of the CF6 and CF7? sfbball
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and CF6 have the same swing weight and balance.
Jason
How long does it take to break in the Demarini CF7? Puff NE
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) usually takes 150-200 hits to fully break-in.
Ben
My Grandson is 17 and presently uses a 2014 VooDoo. All players use his bat for practice and games. Do the bats wear out? He is also looking at the new CF7, VooDoo and Vexuum. He weighs 140 and bench presses 175 pounds. Your thoughts? Joe Seppi
Alloy barrel bats like the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) can dull or dent over continuous use and may lose performance for prolonged extensive use. If he likes an end-loaded feel like his current Voodoo has, going with the new one might be your best bet. It also features an upgraded alloy over the 2014 model.
Patrick
Patrick responded the VooDoo bat can lose performance over excessive use, but what about your CF7? Do both hit the same distance when hit the same? Which one has the larger sweet spot? Joe Seppi
The 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has a slightly larger sweet spot than the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). Composite barrel bats like the CF7 tend to last a bit longer than alloy barrel bats like the Voodoo because they age differently but they can still see issues with continued extensive use. The end-loaded style of the Voodoo can help generate a bit more power if the player is able to swing it the same as a balanced model but it is a bit tougher to swing.
Patrick
Which bat has a bigger barrel: the CF7, Vexxum or Voodoo Overlord? Is break in needed in any of these three? johnny baseball
The 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has a longer barrel than the 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). The CF7 would be the only one of those that needs a brief break-in period.
Patrick
My son is 5'10" and weighs 138 lbs., but doesn't have a lot of power. What do you think would be better for him, the CF7 or Voodoo OVERLORD? tanks
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) has a balanced swing weight which is better for a contact hitter like your son. The Voodoo OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight which is better for power hitters.
Tom
Is this good for a 13 year old 7th grader? oliver
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would be a great choice for a player who tends to hit for contact. The balanced swing weight makes it easier for a contact hitter to work on bat speed and control. The two-piece design also allows for more flex on contact. This additional flex can create more of a whipping action as well. It would be a great choice for an elite player.
Tessa
I am wondering if I should upgrade from my CF6 to the CF7 or just get another CF6? Are there any noticeable differences between the two that would help me perform? Zak
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) has two new features that the CF6 does not have. It has the new Low Pro End Cap for even better balance and a newly designed RCK knob to help prevent blisters. Both the CF6 and CF7 are going to be very balanced and excellent options for you.
Jake
What are the main differences between the CF7 and the DeMarini Vexxum NVS? Which one has better pop? Which one has a better swing speed? Baseball17Stanford
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will feature a two piece full composite design featuring DeMarini's top grade Paradox Carbon Fiber Composite. Additionally, it features the D-Fusion handle for shock and vibration absorption as well as an extremely balanced swing weight. The 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) features a two piece hybrid design with the C6 composite handle as well as an X12 Alloy barrel. Additionally, it features a longer NVS barrel for a balanced swing weight.
Joe
What size do you recommend for a 5'3", 93 pound 13 year old? dbl r
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Jason
What size bat should a 6'5" 245 lb. high school freshman use? B
For a player of that size, our bat coach recommends the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 34" 31 oz. model.
Joe
Is the CF7 or the Louisville Slugger Select 715 better? Chase
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a two-piece full composite design. It does offer a well-balanced swing weight as well as the D-Fusion handle, which does a pretty great job of absorbing shock and vibration. It will require a break-in period because of the Paradox composite construction. The 2015 Louisville Slugger Select 715 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBS7153) features a three-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and the AC21 Alloy barrel. This bat will not require a break-in period due to its construction. It does feature a balanced swing weight. In terms of performance, I would give the edge to the CF7.
Joe
My son is 13 years old. He is 4'11" and 115 lbs. He used a 29" Easton S3 last year to get used to swinging a BBCOR bat. He is a contact hitter and hits the ball just beyond the infield. CF
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will feature a two-piece full composite construction. The two-piece design does allow for additional flex through the zone, which translates to faster bat speed. Additionally, the CF7 does have a balanced swing weight which is what we recommend for gap hitters. The CF7 does offer the D-Fusion handle as well which does a great job of absorbing the shock and vibration traveling down the barrel of the bat.
Joe
I'm 15 years old and 5'9" and I currently swing a 31". What size do you recommend I swing? Cole from EC
Based on your age and height I would suggest a 32" 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC)
Jake
My son plays in multiple leagues. I know this can be used for high school, but can this bat be used in the Cal Ripken league? chill
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is approved for play in the Cal Ripken 13-15, and 16-18 year old leagues. The CF7 is not approved for play in any other Cal Ripken leagues.
Joe
I'm 13 and 120 lbs. and 5'4". What size should I get? dyl
For a player of your size, our bat coach recommends the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 30" 27 oz. model.
Joe
I am 14, 190 lbs and 6'0". I swing a 33" bat and I'm looking for a new one. Should I get the CF7 or the Easton XL1? the dinger machine
It ultimately depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which option will be best for you. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a balanced swing weight and is typically best for a contact hitter. The XL1 features and end loaded swing weight and is usually preferred by power hitters.
Jason
I'm 14, 5'9" and 163 lbs. In the past. I have swung a 30", 31", 32", and a 33" bat. I am currently getting used to a Marucci AP5 33" -3 wood bat. I have decided to also purchase a BBCOR bat to get used to as well. What size inch would you recommend? druzick
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). However, if you already have the bat speed, and are already swinging a 33" wood bat, it would be best to stick with a 33" model.
Jason
My son is 12, 5'8" and 215 lbs. He currently has a CF6 32" -8. He hit 13 HR's in games last year, 2 of them were 300 ft. What size do you recommend for him this year? mtalic
The 32" would be the best size for him in a Senior League Youth Big Barrel option. In the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) you may drop him down into a 31" due the weight increasing on the bat.
Brandon
How do you properly break in the CF7? Riley
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be fairly game ready to start with but it can be made a bit more broken-in by taking about 100 or so swings of soft toss or tee work while rotating the barrel.
Patrick
My son is 14, 5'9" and 215 lbs. What length bat would you recommend? He has been swinging a 32" but we are considering moving him into a 33". Brodi
For a player of his size and age, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 33" 30 oz. model.
Joe
My son is 12 and about 93 lbs and he is tall and lanky. He is currently swinging a 30" drop -10, but I want to get him swinging a drop -5 to get ready for the lager diamond next season at 13u and middle school. What size bat bat would you recommend and is this bat the right choice? Budfox
I would not recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). This particular bat is going to be a BBCOR which is going to be a drop -3. I would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCF5) which is the drop -5 version and would be what you are looking for.
Jake
Does justbats ship this bat to Australia? If so for how much? Druzick48
Unfortunately, we currently are unable to ship the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) or any of our other products anywhere outside the United States and select military addresses. We would recommend purchasing the bat and having it shipped to a friend or family member, and then forwarded to Australia.
Joe
If I am 6ft 175 pounds what size bat should I be using? gcann
For a player of your size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 33" 30 oz. model.
Joe
Is this bat approved for Babe Ruth 13 yr olds? I was told Babe Ruth bats couldn't be all composite. Mark
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a two piece full composite design. Typically in the 13-15 Division of Babe Ruth, players are allowed to use alloy or hybrid models with a 2 5/8" diameter and a drop 5-12 length to weight ratio. If you want to use a full composite model, then you would have to use a BBCOR model such as the CF7.
Joe
I am not sure what bat to swing this year between the CF7, Overlord or the Mako. I am 6 foot 2 and swing a 33 inch size. baseball
All three bats would be very nice options. The choice would come down to what you are looking for in terms of design. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would be the better balanced of the three for the lightest swing weight but it would be very close with the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK). The MAKO is still well balanced but it has a more extended barrel than the CF7 so it is slightly less evenly balanced. The 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is more end-loaded in feel and would usually be preferred by bigger, stronger players like a power hitter style player. All three will be high end models that should perform well.
Patrick
I'm 15 years old, 5'8" and 145 lbs. What size do I need? Anthony
For a player of your size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 32" 29 oz. model. If you are expecting to grow significantly in the next few months, you could also consider moving up to the 33" 30 oz. model.
Joe
I am 5' and 92 lbs. Will this bat be too heavy for me? I am in the Major Division of Little League. connjohn
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a drop 3 length to weight ratio which will be approximately 9 oz. heavier than what you are currently using and is likely far too heavy. The BBCOR model is intended for high school and collegiate play. I would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Youth Baseball Bat (DXCFL) in a 30" 19 oz. that would be approved for your division.
Joe
My son is 5'6" tall and weighs about 145 lbs. What size and weight bat would you recommend? Stacy
For a player with that height and weight we would recommend a 32" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
John
Is this bat good for a power hitter? How does this compare to the XL1? mike
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features the same two-piece, fully composite design as the Easton XL1. Unlike the XL1, the CF7 features a balanced swing weight, which is typically preferred by contact hitters. This bat is a great option for a player looking to work on bat speed and bat control. For power hitting, we would recommend an end loaded bat like the Easton XL1 or even the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT.
Tessa
How does this bat compare to the CF6? Chandler Baseball
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a two piece full composite design with an extremely balanced swing weight. Additionally, it offers the D-Fusion handle which does a nice job of largely absorbing shock and vibration traveling through the bat. The DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will feature the same design, balance and handle with an older cosmetic look.
Joe
Is this a good bat for a pull hitter? mike
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would be ideal for any contact to gap hitter, with a two piece full composite design that will generate additional flex through the zone. The balanced swing weight makes the bat very easy to swing as well.
Joe
Is this bat more balanced than the Easton S1? Mr. Trontel
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a two piece full composite design with an extremely balanced swing weight. Additionally, it features the D-Fusion handle which does a nice job of controlling the vibration and shock travelling through the bat. The 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) will feature a two piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight. The balance and performance of these models will be very similar.
Joe
How many pitches does it take to break-in the CF7? luketheduke
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be fairly game ready to start with but it can be made a bit more broken-in by taking about 100 or so swings of soft toss or tee work while rotating the barrel.
John H
Is this bat similar to the DeMarini CF5? druzick48
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is going to be the newest edition in the DeMarini CF Series. So, yes it will be very similar to the DeMarini CF5.
Frankie
Would the DeMarini CF7 or Voodoo Overlord be better for a contact hitter? joe
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is going to be a balanced weighted bat designed for contact hitters.
Frankie
How does this bat compare to a 2014 Easton MAKO? Lukeman
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the Easton MAKO are very comparable bats. They both feature two-piece fully composite designs with balanced swing weights. One bat will not perform better than the other.
Jason
Is this bat better than the 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR? Ryan Baseball3
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the Easton XL1 are equally good performing bats. It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which option is best for you. The CF7 has a balanced swing weight and is typically better for a contact hitter. The Easton XL1 has an end loaded swing weight and is typically better for a power hitter.
Jason
How does this bat compare to the Louisville Slugger Prime 915? Craig
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the Louisville Slugger Prime 915 are both two piece composite designs with an evenly balanced swing weight. The CF7 does feature a d-fusion handle that is going to help eliminate vibration. Both overall have great ratings.
Frankie
How does this bat compare to the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVNC? Tony
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Baseball Bat (DxCFC) will be a two-piece full composite design. The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVNC) will also be a two-piece design but will have an alloy handle and a composite handle. The CF7 and Vexxum will both have a well balanced swing weight. The CF7 will be DeMarini's top performing model since it is the full composite design.
John
How does this bat compare with the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC)? I like composite bats. chase
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is a two-piece composite model that is balanced, whereas the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is a two-piece model with a composite handle and alloy barrel. It is end loaded compared to the CF7.
Damon
Can power hitters use this bat even though it is not end loaded? ddbaseball
There are certainly power hitters that will prefer a two-piece, balanced bat like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). If you feel that you get the best production out of a balanced model, then I would suggest to continue swinging that style of bat.
Ben
What is the difference between the CF6 and the CF7? jzor
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the CF6 are very similar bats. Both the CF6 and the CF7 are made out of Paradox composite and have balanced swing weights. The main difference is the update on the D-Fusion handle. The CF7 now has a D-Fusion FT handle, which maximizes energy transfer and eliminates vibrations.
Jason
I am 15 years old, 6 foot, and 158 pounds. What size bat should I use? brad
I recommend getting the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 33 inch.
Frankie
What is the difference between the DeMarini CF7 and the DeMarini Voodoo Ian Hall
One of the main differences is the construction. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is a two-piece fully composite bat, and the Voodoo has a two-piece hybrid design. Also, the CF7 will be more balanced, while the Voodoo has a slight end-load to it.
Chinyere
I'm 5 foot 2 inches and 110 pounds. What would be a great bat for a contact hitter and what size? benny biesbol
Based on your height and weight I recommend getting a 30 inch BBCOR bat. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) features a balanced design for a contact hitter.
Frankie
Would this be a better option than the 2015 MAKO? money
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) has a two piece full composite design with an extremely balanced swing weight. It would be ideal for a contact or gap hitter. The 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) features a two piece full composite design with a large sweet spot that has a slightly end loaded swing weight. It would be ideal for a power hitter.
Joe
we just bought a CF 7 and it feels end loaded, another player has one and it feel very balanced ? larry
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will feature a two piece full composite design with a very balanced swing weight. The end loaded model that DeMarini manufactures is the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Joe
I am 14 and I am 6 foot 2 inches and 155 pounds, what size should I get? AJ_Moran_21

Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Jason
Which is bigger: the barrel on the CF7 or 2015 MAKO? chop
Between the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2015 MAKO, the MAKO will have the larger barrel. The MAKO actually features an extended barrel, so that is why it features the bigger barrel.
Tessa
I am 5'5" and about 145 lbs. I'm 13 years old, but strong. What size do you think I should get? curly
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).

Jason
I'm 5'4 about 115 lbs. I'm deciding between the CF7 or the Select 716 or Select 715. I'm a contact hitter but can also hit for some power. What bat would you recommend? Baseball2
That will be a matter of preference. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC feature a balanced swing weight, which is typically preferred by contact hitters. The balanced swing weight makes it easier to work on bat speed and bat control. The Select 715 and 716 both feature a slightly end loaded swing weight, which tends to be preferred by power hitters. All three models are solid choices to go with. It will come down to if you prefer a balanced or end loaded bat.
Tessa
I am a 5 foot 5 inches, 135 pounds and a contact hitter. What size of bat should I get? sdw16
Based on your height and weight I recommend getting the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 31 inch.
Frankie
When will the CF8 come out? george
Generally the new models of DeMarini baseball bats are released in the fall. We do have the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a variety of sizes available.
Jake
Is it worth getting a used CF7? Jeter Jr
A used 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will not come with a warranty, so unless you are getting a very good deal on the bat it might just be a better option to buy a new one.
Jake
I am starting my first year of using a drop 3 bat. What should I get: the CF7 or the OVERLORD FT? dreifuno
If it is your first year using a BBCOR bat, I would recommend going with a balanced model, like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). Balanced bats are easier to work on bat speed and bat control. The OVERLORD FT is a great model as well, but it features an end loaded swing weight. End loaded bats are typically preferred by players who are on the stronger side and have faster bat speeds. There is nothing to say that you couldn't eventually go to an end loaded model, but as your first BBCOR model, it may be tough to handle. Ultimately though, it would be a matter of preference.
Tessa
I am 5'9 and 150 pounds. What size should I use? noahsteinke
I would recommend a 32" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) for a player with your height and weight.
John
I am starting to use a drop 3 bat for the first time this year. I am about 5 foot 7 inches tall and weigh about 200 pounds. I am a power hitter. Should I get the CF7 -3 bat or the S1 -3 bat? philly
Either the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) or the 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) would both be great options. They are extremely similar in terms of design and performance so the preference would come down to which style or brand you prefer.
Patrick
I am a contact hitter who wants to hit for more power. Which bat should I get CF7, Cat 6, or Velo? Also which one is going to be the most balanced? jack
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC), Marucci Cat 6 and the Rawlings Velo are all going to be balanced bats designed for contact hitters. I wouldn't say one is going to be more designed for power over another.
Frankie
Would you recommend the DeMarini CF7 or the Easton Mako for a base hitter? Gladiotors #10
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the Easton Mako are going to be highly recommended bats. Both bats have a balanced weight distribution and are designed for a contact hitter.

We would recommend a 33" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
John
Can this bat work for power hitters? zach
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is designed with a balanced swing weight for contact hitters, but could work for power hitters.
Frankie
I'm 5'1" and 120 pounds. What size should I get? I'm thinking 31" 28 oz. Dinger
Based on your height and weight, a 30" 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is recommended. Sizing is preferential though, so if you would feel more comfortable going with a 31" model, that is definitely something to take into consideration. Generally, you want to swing the longest and heaviest bat that you can comfortably and consistently control.
Tessa
My son is only 4'2'' 65 lbs. He is a contact hitter, currently uses a 30" -8 bat. In the fall, he needs to use BBCOR. Is there a big barrel wood bat and or 29 inch -3 bat you can suggest? bill
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a large selection of 29" BBCOR models available. Our inventory is always changing, so there is chance that we may receive some models into inventory. Since he is more of a contact hitter, great choices that we would recommend would be balanced bats, such as the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC), the Rawlings VELO, or even the Louisville Slugger Omaha 516. These models and their balanced swing weight will make it easier to work on bat speed and bat control. If you were looking at wood bats, I would recommend any bat that features a 110 turn, such as the 2015 Rawlings VELO Composite Wood Baseball Bat: R110CV Adult or even the Mizuno Classic Maple Wood Baseball Bat: MZM110 Grey Adult. The 110 turn has the most balanced swing weight of the standard turn models. This is a great option for a player who is new to wood bats and helps ease the transition from a BBCOR model. The thick handle also adds to the bat's durability. The 110 turn is a very popular choice among contact hitters who are looking for more bat speed through the hitting zone.
Tessa
I am 5 foot 11 inches, 150 pounds. What bat size should I use? dingteam
Based on your height and weight we recommend getting the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) in a 32 inch.
Frankie
I am 5 foot 8 and weigh 150 pounds. What size bat do you recommend? Rock Fiore

Patrick
I am 5 foot 10 and weigh 190 pounds. What size bat should I use? I play high school baseball so it needs to be BBCOR and -3. AramD
Based on height and weight, we would recommend a 33 inch size of a BBCOR bat like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Patrick
Would this be a good bat for me if I am 5 foot 2 and weigh 100 pounds? kaden
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is a nice lightweight option and would typically be a good fit for a player of your size that has to use BBCOR bats.
Patrick
Does the CF7 have a very big barrel and is it designed for a contact hitter? What size bat would you recommend for a player who is 5 foot 11 inches and 185 pounds? cmrg
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is going to have a normal sized barrel. This bat is designed for contact hitters and will have a balanced design. Based on your players height and weight I recommend a 33 inch bat.
Frankie
When will DeMarini release its 2016 baseball bat line? Ben
We do not currently have the expected release date of the 2016 line of bats that would replace models like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Patrick
Is it a big barrel? winner
Yes, the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC is a 2 5/8" barrel which is considered a big barrel.
Cooper
I see you no longer carry the DeMarini CF6 and I am aware they no longer make them. But you have plenty of stock in older DeMarini models. Was there anything wrong with the bat and that is why you don't stock them? Because they are available through Amazon, or were they so popular that you ran out of stock? Same question for the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS model. none
There was nothing wrong with the DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) or the DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). Once the bats got discontinued from production, we were unable to order more of them so what we had in stock was all we had. At the same time we were allowed to reduce the price on them. Given their popularity, once the price dropped, the ones we had in inventory went very quickly. We may have been able to get a larger last order of some models compared to others given their availability which would explain the back stock on some of the other DeMarini models.
Patrick
Is the CF7 a better option for power hitters than the 2015 Vexxum? John
Both the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR (DXCFC) and the 2015 DeMarini Vexxum could work well for power hitters. The decision will come down to whether you prefer the composite barrel of the CF7 or the alloy barrel of the Vexxum.
Marcus
How does the CF7 compare to the Easton Mako and S1? Nathan
All three will be very similar in design as they are all two-piece full composite. The S1 will have a slightly shorter barrel compared to the MAKO and the CF7. The CF7 in my opinion has a little larger sweet spot compared to the MAKO and the S1.
John
I am about 5'3 and 110 lbs but in 8th grade. I was looking at the CF7 and was wondering which size would be best for me? markowitzbaseball
We would recommend the 30" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) for a player with your height and weight.
John
My son is 5' tall and is going into 8th grade. He hasn't hit a growth spurt just yet. Would it make sense to get a 30/27 when it may be too small in a year? everytyne
Both the player's height and weight will factor into which bat size will be best for him. But if he's jumping from a non-BBCOR to a BBCOR bat, you will want to get him something in a size he can be most comfortable with immediately. I think a 30/27 in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR (DXCFC) would be a good place to start.
Marcus
I have used a DeMarini Overlord for last couple years and was wondering how the CF7 would compare. dinger12
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR (DXCFC) is a two-piece all composite bat with a balanced swing weight while the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD is a two-piece hybrid (alloy barrel / composite handle) with an end loaded swing weight.
Marcus
I am 5'9", 125 lbs and going into 8th grade. What size would be good for me? dinger321237
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Jason
I used the 2015 Easton S3Z my freshman year. How would you compare this bat to the bat I used last year? BK
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2015 Easton S3Z ZCORE BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S3Z) are both nice models and are both well balanced but they are very different by design. The CF7 is two-piece composite design with a bit more flex. The S3Z will be a single-piece alloy design that will have a stiffer flex.
Patrick
I am 5 foot 7 and 125 pounds. Should I go for the CF7 or the Voodoo Overlord 2015? Also, what size should I get? Joey
Based on height and weight, we would recommend a 31 inch BBCOR bat. Which bat you should get would be based less on your size and more on your preferences for the feel of the bat. If you like a balanced bat with a light swing weight, I would go with the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC). If you like a more end-loaded feel which would be more typically used by a power hitter style player, I would go with the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
Should I use this bat? I am 5 foot 2 and 130 pounds. ddiinnggeerr
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) should work for you. Based on your height and weight, we would recommend a 31 inch size.
Patrick
I am playing varsity baseball at my high school. What do you prefer for a contact hitter, the DeMarini CF7 or the 2015 Easton Mako? I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 130 pounds but work out on a day to day basis and prefer to swing a 32 inch bat to create a little extra power. baseball01
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) would both be nice options. The preference would come down to what design characteristics you prefer more. The CF7 will have a bit better balance for a lighter swing weight while the MAKO will have a bit larger sweet spot.
Patrick
Off all the 2014, 2015,and 2016 BBCOR bats, which is the best in their respective categories; composite, aluminum, and hybrid? Youngsavage
Given the restrictions in place on BBCOR certified bats like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC), there is not just one bat that is considered the best within categories. The bats are not capable of exceeding the performance restrictions in place. Rather than trying to find a bat that will simply outperform others, the better quality indicators will be the feel of the bat (swing weight, balance or end-load, flex, sting protection, etc.) which is a matter of preference, and the durability of the bat. Basically if they all perform the same at their best, you will want that best level to last as long as possible which has to do with the durability of the bat.
Patrick
Is this bat allowed to be used in high school? yeah
This 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) carries BBCOR .50 certification and will be legal for high school play.
Ben
What is the MOI of the CF7 compared to the MOI of the Voodoo Overlord FT? droppin dimez
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) is much more balanced so it will have a significantly lower MOI than the end-loaded 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
My Son is 16, 5'10" and weighs about 160 lbs. Would the CF7 shorter taper on the barrel be a problem on inside pitches? Big Mack
We have not heard of any major issues of players not being able to make solid contact on inside pitches with the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC.
Marcus
Is this a -3 bat? Amy
Yes, this 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be a BBCOR .50 certified bat that features a -3 length-to-weight ratio.
Ben
when the CF8 is released will there be much of a price drop in the 2015 CF7 sales price Dawg
With all older model bats like the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) there will be a price reduction as the 2016 models hit the market. How much of a price drop is tough to say. We do honor price matching 30 days after making a purchase.
Cameron
I keep seeing that if I hit for power this isn't the bat. I should get a less balanced weight bat. I've been using the Rawlings Velo in high school and now in college and love it. Good pop gap to gap and deep. How will this compare? T
Typically, power hitters will prefer a one-piece bat that will feature an end-loaded swing weight but that doesn't mean a power hitter couldn't use something else (a balanced bat or two-piece). When comparing the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) to the 2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRVB) the DeMarini will be a two-piece fully composite bat. This bat will offer more flex (typically not preferred by power hitters). With that said, a one-piece design is probably better suited for you.
Cameron
Can this bat be used in cold temperatures? J
Here at JustBats, we recommend that you do not use the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC in temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
John P
I recently had a cf6 and enjoyed it a lot but I've heard great things about the Easton Mako and it feels just as good if not better than the cf6. For a freshman that is a contact and some power hitter which one is better? Also what size should I get if I am about 6'1" and roughly 155 pounds? sgrav
The DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC and the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK both have a two-piece, fully composite construction and a balanced swing weight, of which is usually preferred by contact hitters. The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will feature a HYPERSKIN grip. Both of these bats are highly rated and are very similar in structure. For your height and weight we suggest a 33" bat length.
Angelique
I am 5'9" and 120 lbs. What size of bat do you recommend? maxm
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC.
Jason
Which bat would you recommend: the CF7 or the OVERLORD? What are the differences? Manc204
It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which option is the best for you. The DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC is a two-piece composite with a balanced swing weight. It is typically a better option for a contact hitter. The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD has a two-piece hybrid design and a slightly end loaded swing weight. The Voodoo is typically a better option for a power hitter.
Jason
My son is 13, 5'3", and weighs about 120. His league requires a BBCOR -3 bat. He is not a true power hitter but has some pop. Would this bat combo be a good choice for him? If not, what type of bat would you recommend? dlrcpprof
Based upon your son's height and weight, I would recommend using a 30" DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC. Unfortunately, this bat is no longer offered in a 30" length. I have included a link to all of the 30" BBCOR Baseball bats that we currently offer. http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~bbcor/length~30%20inch/?sortBy=TotalSales%20Descending&size=24
John P.
How do you break it in? Delky
We recommend around 100-150 swings off of a tee or soft toss to break-in the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC. Start off at 50% power and rotate your bat after every handful of swings.
Marcus
What are the differences between this bat and the Easton MAKO? dude
The DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC and the Easton MAKO are both very comparable bats. They both feature two-piece fully composite designs and balanced swing weights. The MAKO has a slightly longer barrel and bigger sweet spot, but the CF7 features the D-Fusion handle which is better at breaking up vibration and sting.
Jason
What is a rough life span? Panther
Lifespan of the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC, or any bat for that matter, can never be guaranteed. To prolong the life of your bat, here are some tips: -Limit the bat to individual use -Do not use excessively in temperatures below 60°F (16°C) -Do not store the bat in extremely hot or cold temperature areas -Do not clean metal cleats with the bat -Use regulation, leather covered, baseball and softballs. NOT rubber cage balls -Do not hit waterlogged balls -Routinely check your bat for any damage -Rotate your bat ¼ turn each swing (this prevents one side of the barrel from becoming prematurely worn down)
Marcus
My son is a sophomore that is about 6'2 and 170 lbs. He makes a lot of contact although power could be a little better. Is this a good bat for him? How would you compare this model to CF8? He prefers a 33/30, does that seem right? dynamic
The DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC is an excellent option for you player. It is a great fit for a contact hitter because of its balanced swing weight. It is still a great option to provide some power as well though. The CF7 and CF8 are very comparable bats. The biggest difference between the two bats is the composite that they are made out of. The CF8 is made out of Paradox +Plus composite this allows the CF8 to be hot out of the wrapper. The CF7 requires a bit of a break-in period. Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 33" bat.
Jason
what is it gonna take to break it in d_ball
The DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC is a two-piece fully composite bat. Generally composite baseball bats are going to need around 150 to 200 hits on them to start performing up to their potential. When breaking in a composite baseball bat, it is important to start off at about 50% power and gradually increase as your swing count rises. It is also important to rotate the bat about a 1/4 inch on every swing. This ensures that your bat gets evenly broken in.
Cameron
I'm 6'1" and am wondering whether I should get a 32 inch or 33 inch? I play high school baseball and am a lefty pull hitter. I can't hit outside with a 32 so should i go up to a 32 baseball kings
The best length of a BBCOR bat to us is going to be more determined by a player's height and weight as well as personal preference. A longer bat may not necessarily allow a LH pull hitter to hit the ball any better (relationship to the plate comes into question; would suggest getting closer to the plate possibly). Based on your height though, a 33 inch would certainly be a better option for you in the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC.
Cameron
Why is the 34" $199 and the 32" $349? tim68
The reason for the different prices with the DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC will come down to supply and demand as well as the prices we are able to get different bat sizes at. With BBCOR bats, the more common sizes used are going to be 32 inch and 33 inch models and the 34 inch model is seldom used by most high school and college players. With that being said, the more common sizes will hold higher value even though they are discontinued models.
Cameron
Is the sweet spot on this bat pretty good sized? Brandon
The barrel length on this DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be pretty extended and will allow for a for a pretty decent sized sweet spot.
Ben
Is this bat legal in Babe Ruth League? Oskar
The DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC is a legal bat for use in both the 13-15 and 16-18 divisions.
Cameron
Is there a difference between this CF7 and the CF8 BBCOR? Jack
This DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will differ from the CF8 because the CF8 features updated Paradox +Plus Composite material and updated D-Fusion 2.0 handle technology. As well, the cosmetics on the CF8 are newer.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
