Description

If we said that this bat was as hot as it looked, we'd be doing it a disservice. It's much, much hotter than that this season. Ready to bust loose, this year's CF7 is the hottest composite fastpitch bat out of the wrapper that DeMarini has ever produced. In fact, the CF7 barrel was totally redesigned from last season's CF6 for an even hotter out of the wrapper performance. And that's not all! The newly designed barrel sustains maximum POP throughout the lifetime of the bat. On top of that, the CF7's Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! Also new to the CF7 is DeMarini's famous D-Fusion Technology. The D-Fusion handle eliminates vibrations and redirects energy back into the barrel creating not only an incredible feel, but more POP! The D-Fusion handle also opens up a better sound on all hits across the barrel. The CF7 even features Stacked Double Wall Construction that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. At the end of the barrel, the end cap provides optimal barrel compression and maximizes the sweet spot. If you're at the top of your game and demand the absolute best, it's the CF7 or nothing! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The CF7 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Even better than the CF6! #15 player

Pros: The DeMarini CF7 (-10) is fanatstic. When first looking at it the graphics were the first factor that caught my eye. I've been using DeMarini for a long time now and had enjoyed the CF6. The CF7, came hot right out of the wrapper and I was hitting dingers on the first few swings. This bat feels very durable and not like its made out of glass. The swing is wicked even and smooth so it works well. As a Varsity, Junior Olympic and college softball player as of next year, I highly suggest this bat to give you that competive edge.

Cons: The only con is the handle. The previous handle on the CF6 had a better grop on it. The one now, feels almost sitck and not as freat of a grip. But overall it is a great bat.

Good bat Jferraro coach

Pros: Bought the -11 for my 12 yr old. She had her first tourney this week end, great bat. A couple Homeruns, serveral triples and countless doubles. Good Pop out of the wrapper. Great pop after 300 or so balls hit with it.

Cons: Sweet spot seems a little smaller than the CF5 we have. Seems the 5 had a little more pop closer to the handle than the 7, maybe it needs to be broken in a little better closer to the handle. We have only had it 3 days so we will see.

Great Bat Softball Dad coach

Pros: My 14 yo 5'3" 100 lbs. daughter was swinging an Easton 31"/-12 composite and just got a 33"/-10 CF7. It is incredibly well-balanced, such that it feels lighter than the Easton. The ball jumps off her bat and she is much more confident and aggressive at the plate. She is banging balls all over the yard and hitting doubles and triples instead of singles and doubles.

Cons: None.

Daughter loves this bat! Mike parent

Pros: Great pop right out of the wrapper. She was 8u. Had 17 homeruns this year, 12 with this bat. No sting at all she says when hitting. These balls come off so hot it took the glove right off the short stop when she tried to catch it. Great bat!

Cons: None.

Cf7 Softballer player

Pros: Got this bat the other day and I am participating in the U14 Canadian national fastpitch tournament this weekend. I have found the bat has medium out of wrapper pop just like most bats and is well balanced. The bat has very nice graphics and comes very shiny out of the wrapper.

Cons: Few minor paint chips already.

Pros: Had a great pop right out of the wrapper and I loved it.

Cons: I was influenced by the many great reviews to but this bat but i am starting to regret it. I've had it for about a month and a half and loved it in the beginning but after like 2 weeks of use it feels as if it lost its pop and felt weird at contact. Also, I recently had the cf5 which has a very great sweet spot, but the cf7 doesn't seem to have that much of one.

AWESOME Jazzys Mom coach

Pros: My daughter hit her 1st out of the park home run with this bat last night. She has just turned 11 we just purchased the bat had it only for 2 days. It went out of our field into the next through the air about a good 15 feet off the ground all the way right between SS & 2nd. She uses 2015 cf7 34in 24oz -10. 1 proud mom & coach. Just talked a friend into buying this bat for her child & several other parents asked what she was using after the game.

Cons: Graphics not so fancy but bat still great!

When can we expect this bat to be available? Marc
The 2015 DeMarini CF7: DXCFP is scheduled to arrive in the next two weeks. Once the item is received, we will update our website.
Kara
What is the difference between 2014 and 2015? They both have paradox barrel, double wall construction and d-fusion handle. dad1
DeMarini has redesigned the barrel of the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP). The new design makes the bats to be hotter out of the wrapper and sustain more pop throughout the lifetime of the bat. They have changed the end cap to sustain optimal barrel compression and maximize the sweet spot.
Kara
What is the difference between this and the CF7 Insane? kk
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) is a balanced, two-piece composite bat. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Insane (DXCFI) is ad end loaded two-piece composite bat.
Kara
Is this bat NCAA approved yet? Rick
Yes. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) Fastpitch bat is approved for NCAA play.
Damon
Will you compare this to the CF7 Hope? Are they the same bat? Softball Dad
The only difference between these bats is that they feature different color schemes. Also, a percentage of the proceeds from the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Hope (DXCFH) are donated to support breast cancer awareness.
Gary T.
Is this bat good for a high school power hitter? Jess
The balanced, two-piece design of the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) is best for a contact hitter. We recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Insane (DXCFI) is an end loaded bat, and best for a power hitter.
Kara
Do you have the 2015 CF7 in a drop 9? If not, is there a 2014 model available in this size? Tom
Unfortunately, at this time we do not have any -9's available in the DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) for the 2015 model or 2014 model. The lengths that we have available for sale at this time are a -8, -10 and a -11. All of the sizes we have available for sale can be found at this link http://www.justbats.com/products/?s=CF7.
Merritt
How big a leap in technology is there from the -10 CF6 to CF7? Shooting Stars Dad
The major difference in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) from the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) would be the connection point between the barrel and the handle has been enhanced to help regulate flex better and to significantly reduce sting and vibration to the hands of the player. Each CF7 barrel was totally redesigned from the CF6 bats to be hotter out of the wrapper and sustain maximum POP throughout the lifetime of the bat. The new bats also have a larger sweet spot and are more forgiving across the barrel.
Patrick
Is this DeMarini full composite or half and half? lizzy25
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) Fastpitch has a two-piece fully composite design.
Jason
Your prior responses note that this is the same as the CF7 hope except for the colors. However, the end caps are difference and the barrel length (not full bat length) is longer on the hope. Are they really the same as a result? Kat
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) and the CF7 hope have the same barrel lengths. However, the different end cap on the DXCFP will make it appear longer. Other than that these bats will be identical. Demarini says the Hope packs the same punch, power and balance as the -10 model.
Bobby
What is the difference between the CF7:DXFP and the CF7:DXCFS? Junior
The major difference between the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) is the length to weight ratio or "drop weight." The DXCFP is a heavier -10 length to weight ratio and the DXCFS is a -11 which is lighter.
Patrick
Can it be shaved? donn
We do not recommend shaving the 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFP Fastpitch) or any bat for that matter because it does void the warranty and it does increase the chance of the bat breaking.
Cooper
My daughter is 12 years old. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. What length bat does she need? Do you have a recommended weight? We are wanting to buy the CF7 but we are not sure what size or model? TMac
Based on her height and weight, we would suggest a 32 inch bat. Given her age we would suggest either the -11 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) or the -10 2015 DeMarini CF7 Hope (DXCFH).
Patrick
My daughter is 13 years old and is a slapper/contact hitter, although has been hitting with more power lately. She is 5' 2" and weighs 105 lbs. We are looking at this bat, the 2015 CF7, and the Easton MAKO 2014. What are the differences between the two? Which would you recommend for her? Lisa
The CF7 and MAKO are very comparable designs. Both are balanced, fully composite, and two-piece. The biggest differences, aside from the manufacturer, would be that the CF7 eliminates vibration a bit better with the D-Fusion handle and the MAKO provides a slightly longer barrel. Both would be great options for a player who hits for both contact and power.
Mac
My daughter is 5'7" and weighs 135 lbs. She is 13 and likes DeMarini bats. Is this a good bat for her? Should I try to get her to try the Easton MAKO? Should she use the CF7 Insane or CF7 (dxcfp)? She is hitting for power. Thunder dad
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 33" bat. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is a terrific bat for any hitter, especially if she likes DeMarini bats. It is typically best to stick with the manufacturer that the player is most comfortable with and has had past success with. However, if she is a power hitter, moving to the DeMarini CF7 Insane might be a better option. The end loaded swing weight on the Insane is typically best for power hitters.
Jason
So the difference between the CF7 Hope and the CF7 Insane is that the Insane is end-loaded? Is that correct? If not, what would the differences be? RB
Yes, the biggest difference is ultimately going to be the weight distribution. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFP) and 2015 DeMarini CF7 Hope Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFH) are going to be balanced, and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFI) is going to incorporate a slight end-load.
Merritt
My daughter is 12 years old 5'8", 125 lbs, and is more of a power hitter. Do you think we should be looking at a 32" or 33" bat? She's currently using a 32". RB
Based on the player's approximate height and weight, I would probably suggest a 33" in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFP).
Merritt
My girl is going to play 8u and I'm looking at the CF7. I'm having trouble between which one to chose from because I don't know the difference in them. She is a contact hitter what is the correct bat for her? MES
Based on her age I would say you should go with the lightest version of the CF7 available which would be the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS). The lighter swing weight would be beneficial for a younger contact hitter.
Patrick
My daughter is 15 years old, 5'2" and weighs 140 lbs. She is a power hitter. What would you suggest for her? Shell
As a power hitter, I would probably suggest the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFI). This model will feature a slight end-load and typically power hitters tend to prefer this type of weight distribution. This model will be very similar to the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFP). However, the weight distribution will be the biggest difference between the models.
Merritt
Do they make a drop 9 in this model? Charlie46
Unfortunately, the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is only available in the -10 size.
Tessa
The writing on the bat states Half & Half. What does this mean? whitey
Half & Half is a term that DeMarini uses to describe all of it's two-piece bats, whether they are two-piece fully composite models like this 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) or a two-piece hybrid design.
Mac
My daughter is a 14U. She's 5'5" and 130 lbs. and is a power hitter. She did awesome last season with a 32" 22 oz. 2014 Insane. Would a 33" 22 oz. 2015 CF7 DXCFP be a good choice this season? Proud Dad
Sure, the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be awesome! It will swing more balanced than the Insane she was previously using. Also, the D-Fusion handle will help decrease hand sting and vibration. It makes for a very high performing, comfortable swing. The extra inch added for the 33" should not hurt her at all. I say go for it!
Brandon
I have a daughter who is 10 years old and 4'11 and weighs 105 pounds. She is a decent hitter with some power. What size bat would you recommend? What is the difference between the 2014 and 2015 cf series Demarini bats? Mom2
The main difference between the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP), or any of the newer CF7 models is that they all feature the D-Fusion handle, which helps to dampen vibration and sting. The only CF6 model that featured the D-Fusion handle was the Insane (DXCFI). Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 31" bat.
Tessa
My daughter is 10 years old and is about to be 11. She is about 4'10" and 100 lbs. She is a good hitter, and is currently swinging 29", but her coach is thinking she needs a 31". I am worried about the weight. She tried a XENO 31" and thought that was too heavy. irma
Based on the player's approximate height and weight, I would suggest 31". However, the weight is always the hardest characteristic to determine, because ultimately it comes down to the strength of the player. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFS) is a (-11), and will be a little bit lighter in comparison to the (-10) 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: (DXCFP).
Merritt
What size bat do I buy for my daughter that is 13 years old? She is 5'2" and weighs 132 lbs? frank
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP).
Jason
What is an end loaded bat exactly mean? My daughter uses a CF5 -10 now. It has lost its pop. Not sure what bat or size bat to get her next. She is 11; about 4' 8", and around 85 lbs. She is a good base hitter. Her bat now is a 30 inch. What bat and size would you suggest, please? mom
An end loaded bat is one that has more weight oriented toward the end of the barrel. Essentially, more weight in the end of the bat can create more power in a player's swing if they are strong enough to handle it. However, most players use a well balanced bat (one that has the weight spread evenly throughout the length) more efficiently as it's easier to control. This 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP is balanced and would be a great bat for the majority of players. Based on her height and weight, the 30" model would still be a good choice. But you could consider going to the 31" model if she felt comfortable with the larger size.
Mac
What's the difference between the DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP and the MAKO 2015? softball
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) will feature a D-Fusion handle piece. This will help eliminate the hand sting and vibration. The MAKO will not feature this technology. The Easton MAKO will feature a longer more extended barrel length than the CF7. Both bats are fully composite designs that will feel very balanced.
Brandon
Whats the difference between this DeMarini and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Hope Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFH? j
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Hope Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFH) will be very similar in terms of weight and overall design. The main difference is that the Hope edition donates a portion of the proceeds to the cancer research.
Patrick
What do you suggest for an 18 year old that is 5' and 105 lbs? anonymous
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP). The CF7 has a balanced swing weight and is great for any player.
Jason
I am 14 years old and I weigh 113 lbs. I and am 5'3". Would you recommend this bat or the Insane end loaded DeMarini? j
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) will have a more balanced feel. It will help keep your bat speed up. The end loaded DeMarini bat will have a more barrel heavy feel.
Brandon
My daughter is going to be 12. She is 5'3 and weighs 140. She currently uses 2012 vendetta 31 drop 12. Her coach recommends a 32 drop 10. What would be better for her the CF7 or the Easton Mako? She hits well with the vendetta and it has been a good beginner bat. She has hit several over the fence but moving up to twelve u field needs more pop. Rebecca
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the Easton MAKO are both top of the line two piece fully composite bats with great pop. They both will feature a balanced swing weight similar to the Vendetta. The CF7 will be a little hotter out of the wrapper than the Easton MAKO, but we recommend a break-in process for both bats. Since she is familiar with the DeMarini bat company, she might be more comfortable with the CF7, but both would be great choices.
Tom
my daughter is 5,9 170 GOING INTO HER FRESHMAN YEAR WHAT SIZE BAT DO YOU RECOMMEND kort
For a player of her size, our bat coach recommends the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a 34" 24 oz.
Joe
My daughter is almost 5' (half an inch away) and weighs 89 lbs. She currently swings a Demarini CF7 -10, 31/21. Last practice, her coach said that she should move on to a longer and heavier bat. He suggested either a 32/23 or a 33/23. He said he prefers the Xeno to any other bat, but if I prefer DeMarini they are good also. My daughter is pretty strong for her small size (she's the smallest on the team) and I do believe she can handle a 32/22. Going up another ounce more than that seems a bit much for her size. She is 12 and plays 14U ball moving up to high school age next year. Which bat has more pop. Do you think my daughter would be able to handle a bat of that weight? I think it's worth it to add that my daughter hits up 2nd, so is not a power hitter. She gets on base after and it is rare for her to strike out. Thank you so much! Natalie
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be a great option in the 32/22 sizing. It would swing and feel a lot like the Louisville Slugger XENO Fastpitch bat. Both are full composite and very balanced in design.
Brandon
I'm 15 , 5'2 and 99 pounds. What bat size do you recommend I get ? ally1
For the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP), our bat coach recommends a 32" 22 ounce bat for a player of your size.
Joe
What is the difference between this CF7 and the 2015 XENO? juju
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 Louisville Slugger XENO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXN150) will be very similar bats in regard to their construction. Both bats will be two-piece, all composite fastpitch bats. Both bats' barrels will be almost identical in length. However, the CF7 will offer a D-Fusion handle that reduces the overall vibration that players will feel on their hands when they experience miss-hits.
Ben
What's the difference between the DeMarini CF7 and the Easton Mako? I play at a very high level and I am a power hitter but I also focus a lot on slapping and drag bunts so barrel length and balance is important to me. I have not owned an Easton or a Demarini but my coach is insisting they are the best right now, so I don't have a favorite yet. bollig
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch (DXCFP) and the 2015 Easton MAKO are both very nice two-piece full composite design. The CF7 and the MAKO will both feature a very balanced swing weight. The CF7 does feature the D-Fusion handle technology which eliminates vibrations and redirects the energy back to the barrel making the bat more responsive during contact.
John
How long would it take to get this bat shipped to Anaheim, CA? ally1
The free shipping option we offer guarantees the delivery within 5 business days. However, it typically only takes about 3 business days to ship to California. If you place an order before 8 pm central time Monday through Friday, we will ship the item out the same day. You should expect to see the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) delivered 3 business days after your purchase.
Jason
Is this bat legal for high school softball? jim
Absolutely. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is approved for play in NFHS and NCAA.
Mac
How do you compare that bat to the Easton MAKO (FP15MK10)? steve
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) are both two-piece composite bats. They are also both balanced and have their own patented technology for reducing vibration. As far as performance, both bats will perform similarly.
Chinyere
When will the 2016 CF8 be available? Do you know what changes will be made to the bat? Softball Mom
I have not heard of any CF8 bats being released as of yet. Sorry for the lack of information. We do offer the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) currently.
Brandon
I currently have the CF5 32" 22 oz bat. I'm 5'5 and 137 lbs and I'm looking to get the CF7 but I'm unsure whether to get a 32" 22 oz or the 33" 23 oz. What do you recommend? Grace
I would suggest going with a 33" 23 oz. 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) based on your height and weight.

My daughter currently swings a vendetta 33in bat. We are thinking about buying the cf7 to upgrade. Do you think this is a good choice for her? Do you think she could handle the 33 in cf7 or should move down to 32? she is 5ft 3 approx 90 lbs. thanks! sunny
The Vendetta and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) are both going to be balanced bats. But the CF7 is going to be a full composite bat, where the Vendetta was a hybrid design with an alloy barrel. If she is comfortable hitting the 33 inch now I wouldn't move down to a 32 inch.
Frankie
Do you sell CF7 drop 9 fastpitch softball bats? becca
We do sell the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a drop 9. The product code for that will be the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFF.
Joe
What are your bat warranties? becca
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) comes with a one year manufacturer warranty. If the bat were to break within a year of the purchase date, DeMarini would be able to replace the bat.
Jason
Which would feel lighter, a 31" 20 oz. or a 30" 20 oz.? t
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is a great bat. The 20 oz. sizes will feel the same. The 30" 20 oz. may feel lighter due to it being 1" less in bat length.
Brandon
My daughter has been swinging a 32-22 CF7 Insane and loved that bat. She crushed many Home Runs and I was looking to get her the 33 (-9 ) CF7. Will this hurt her power? The RAT
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is actually the drop 10 model with a balanced swing weight. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFF) is the drop 9 model that you had mentioned. This model does feature a balanced swing weight so even though she is increasing from a drop 10 end-loaded model, her power should not be affected with a drop 9 balanced model.
Joe
What is the difference between the CF7 and CF7 Insane? ashleysoftball
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is a balanced bat while the CF7 Insane is an end loaded model that is best suited for a power hitter or stronger player.
Mac
I want to buy a bat this year, hopefully in April. I don't know whether to get this one or the 2014 DeMarini Bustos. I'm an average hitter. I'm good when it comes to hitting. Which bat would you recommend for me? ally1
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) will have the longer lasting, better performing material. That is why you see the jump in price between the two models there. Both will have a good balanced feel as well.
Brandon
My coach told me I can't use this bat in the batting cage because it is two-piece and the batting cage balls will mess it up. Is this true? If so, why? anna
We generally do not recommend using the yellow, dimpled batting cage balls with any bat (two-piece, single-piece, alloy, composite, wood, etc...) purchased from JustBats.com. Those cage balls are denser than regulation softballs. A denser ball can cause damage to the barrel walls of any kind of bat. We would recommend following your coach's advice and use regulation softballs (tennis and wiffle balls would fine for use as well) with this 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP).
Ben
Would it be better for me to get the DeMarini CF7 or should I wait until the new DeMarini CF8 that comes out? ally1
The DeMarini CF8 will have updated features on it, but it will be the same balanced swing weight design as the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP).
Frankie
What is the difference between the CF7,CF7 Hope and the CF7 insane? robk
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Hope Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFH) would essentially be the same model but with a different color pattern. Some of the proceeds from the Hope model go to breast cancer research. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) is the same length to weight ratio but has a more end-loaded or barrel heavy feel to it and is designed for more of a power hitter type player.
Patrick
I'm 15 years old and I'm 5 foot 9 inches and weigh 135 pounds, what size bat would you recommend? Rylee
Based on your height and weight we would recommend getting the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a 33 inch.
Frankie
I heard the -11 drop bats will break easy, is this true for high school varsity softball? Rylee
I am not familiar with the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) breaking easily. The only reason this bat would break rather quickly is if you are continually hitting the bat in the same sport or using the bat in cold weather.
Frankie
What bat size would you recommend for a 10U player who is 4'9" and 80 lbs. She is not a power hitter, and is currently using a 28" 17 oz. model. Jen
For a player of her size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a 31" model. However, the drop 10 on this bat is likely to be a little too heavy for her, so I would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) in a drop 11 length to weight ratio.
Joe
Looking to buy my daughter a CF7. She just turned 12 and is fairly small - 59" and a little under 80 lbs. She's not a power hitter so I want something she can swing fast. What would you recommend? She used a 27" 17 oz. last year but I'd like to move her up a little. Scott K
Of the CF7 models, I would actually recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) for your daughter. That model features a balanced swing weight, similar to the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP), but it will feature a lighter -11 drop weight. It is also available in a 28" 17 oz. size, whereas the shortest the DXCFP is manufactured in is a 30" 20 oz. size. With her being on the smaller side, going with a lighter bat is something to consider so she can work on bat speed and bat control.
Tessa
Does the CF8 hope swing lighter than the -10 balance? KRaw
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the CF8 Hope bats have the same balanced swing weight. One will not swing lighter than the other.
Jason
My daughter is 12 and about 5 foot 1, and 130 pounds. She has been batting with a 31 inch 20 ounce for about a year now (she was previously using a 30 inch 19 ounce). She bats very well with this, but since she has grown about 4 inches this past year, we are looking to move up. She practiced today some with a 32 inch 22 ounce. She made contact fairly well, she just said it was too heavy. Would the DeMarini CF7 32 inch 21 ounce be a good choice for her size or considering she had trouble with the 32 inch 22 ounce, would it be too heavy as well? C
If the 32 inch -10 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) was slightly heavy for her, going to the lighter 32 inch 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) should be a good way to reduce the overall swing weight.
Patrick
Is it ok to hit dimple balls with the DeMarini CF5? kiser03
It is not recommended to hit dimple balls with the CF5 or the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) at any point in the bats life.
Frankie
I am 5 foot 2 and I weigh 99 pounds. I'm going to buy this bat sometime this week. Should I get this model or the CF7 Hope? Also, is it okay to hit softballs off the tee with this bat ? ally1
As long as you are hitting actual softballs, the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) should be fine to use off the tee. The choice between this model and the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Hope Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFH) would be cosmetic in nature so I would advise you to go with the style you like better.
Patrick
I am 5'7 and 125 lbs. Would the CF7 or the CF8 be better for me? DD Softball
The performance of the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) will be relatively the same. Demarini made changes to the materials in the D-Fusion Handle, and the knob and end cap have changed as well.
Liz
My daughter is 5'7" and weighs 170lbs and is playing freshman softball. she has only played for 2 years of softball. Do you recommend the 33/22 or 34/24? eric
For a player of her size and age, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a 34" 24 oz. model. If she is not comfortable swinging that heavy of a bat, you could consider the 33" 23 oz. model as well.
Joe
My daughter is 16 years old. She is 5 foot 3 and weighs 180 pounds. She is a power hitter. She is currently using a 33 inch 22 ounce bat. What would you recommend? We are contemplating the new CF8. Louis
Based on height and weight, that 33 inch 22 ounce bat would make sense for your player. The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be a great option and is a very advanced model in terms of feel, performance and durability. If she is a power hitter, perhaps the more end-loaded 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) may allow her to produce a bit more consistent power.
Patrick
My daughter is 5 foot 5 and weighs 150 pounds. She is a power hitter. Her coaches would like for her to get the CF6 Demarini Insane but I can't find those. Which one would you recommend for her to grow with? She is a freshman in high school and in travel softball. denita
If her coaches are recommending the Insane model from DeMarini, they would be recommending that she use an end-loaded model. The version we have of that bat currently in stock would be the new model which would be the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI). Based on height and weight, we would recommend a 33 inch 23 ounce size.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
