Great bat! Katrina Queen parent

Pros: Great feel, this bat was brought for my 12 year old. She has such a powerful swing, but always complained about the sting of her hands, so we went with a 2 piece composite. She loves it. No stinging of her hands and the balls fly out to outfield.

Cons: She's loves girly colors, and wished that it could have came in more purple, pink, light blue colors.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Does this bat have USSSA thumb print? Don
Yes, the 2015 DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP) does feature the USSSA 1.20 BPF thumb print.
Jason
Is it suitable for cooler weather? I
We do not recommend using any bat--including the 2015 DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP)--in temperatures below 55 degrees. In the colder temperatures, the ball itself becomes more dense. So when it makes contact with the barrel, it is more damaging than in warmer conditions.
Tessa
What is the manufacturer's warranty? Does JustBats.com have a separate warranty? DD
The 2015 DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP is going to come with a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty. Unfortunately, here at JustBats, we do not offer a separate warranty.
John
Does this bat have to be broken in? rick
The 2015 DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP features a composite barrel so it will require a break-in period. Here at Just Bats, we recommend about 150-200 swings either off of a tee or by hand toss with about a 1/4 inch rotation of the barrel after each swing. After those 150-200 swings the bat will be fully broken in.
John
Is this bat certified for NCAA play? Mean Gean
Yes, the 2015 DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP is approved for play in the NCAA.
John
What is the main difference between the Vendetta and the CF7? Is the difference worth the extra cost? I'm needing a bigger bat and currently using a Vendetta drop -12 29" for a strong 9 year old. tim
The main difference between the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP and the CF7 is in the composite material. This Vendetta features what is called the C6 composite while the CF7 features the Paradox composite for a lighter feel and a bigger, hotter sweet spot.
John P.
Can this bat be used by Little League boys, 12U? Louie
This DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP) will not be legal for a 12 year old playing Little League baseball as it will not have the required USSSA 1.15 BPF certification (it will actually have the 1.20 BPF certification that is technically higher performing and not legal).
Ben
Is it composite? Abbey
Yes, the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP features a two-piece fully composite design.
Jason
My daughter is 14, 5'7", and 100 lbs. What length should she get? Jennifer
I would suggest a 32" DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP).
Jake
My daughter is 13 years old, and 5'4". What size do you recommend, a 31 or 32"? Patty O
Based on your daughter's height, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 32 inch model.
Cameron
Is the bat stamped with ASA and year certification on the barrel? WHSoftball
The DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP is approved for play in ASA and will feature the ASA stamp.
John P.
My daughter is 10, weighs 70 lbs and is about 4'5". What size would you recommend? Vero95076
Based upon your player's height and weight, my general recommendation would be to get a bat with a 30" length. If you feel that your player can handle the 20 oz weight of the 30" option of this DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP), I would recommend that size option of this bat.
Ben
Can this be used in men's slowpitch? jon boy
The DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP would not be a bat that could be used in men's slowpitch.
Cameron
My daughter is 9 and it's her first year playing fastpitch softball but she is really into it. She is 90 to 95 pounds about 4'5" tall. Would this be a good bat for her size and how long would she be able to use? fatz
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 31 inch 21 ounce model. The weight of the bat though is predicated more on what the current weight of her bat is and how well she is handling that weight. Would certainly recommend consulting with a local coach who knows her current bat speed and bat path. As for how long she would be able to use the bat, that is a tough question to answer. It will be based on how durable the bat is and whether or not she physically outgrows it. Like everything else, as a player physical matures previous bats may no longer be the ideal fit.
Cameron
My daughter is 14, 5'1" and 105 lbs. Looking for a new fast pitch bat and need size recommendations. She has a 32 in -13 composite bat but it seems like her balls never get past the beginning of the outfield. Lexi
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 32 inch 22 ounce model. The reason she may be having issues driving the ball is more than likely caused due to the length to weight ratio (-13) as these bats will not have much mass in the barrel that can be transferred to the softball. Going with a heavier bat should help alleviate this issue.
Cameron
My daughter is 5'5" and weighs 115 lbs with an athletic build. We play travel ball and I am thinking about getting the Vendetta bat. The XENO in my opinion has a small sweet spot. What is your recommendation on size? fastwizard
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP.
Jason
I got this bat and the first one lasted about 5 games before the handle separated from the barrel. So they replaced it with a new one and it made it through the high school season. First scrimmage of travel season same thing happened. Anyone else experienced this problem? #5'sdad
The best way to see if other customers are experiencing the same issues would be to look through the product review section for the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP. This has not been something though that we have been made aware of from conversations via telephone, email or chat so I would say it is not common.
Cameron
Is this balanced or end loaded? jimmy
The DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP is a balanced bat.
Jason
Does this bat have the 2012 NSA stamp on it? ROZ
Yes, the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP features the 2012N NSA Stamp.
Marcus
I just purchased a bat pack that included this bat. I was looking for a double barrel composite bat. I thought this was a double barrel. Can you confirm that? Melissa
Unfortunately, there are not really any composite material fastpitch bats that are going to be listed as "double barrel". However, all composite bats including this DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP) could be listed as multi-layered bats since they all feature layers of composite fibers placed on top of each other to create the barrel.
Ben
I have a 17 year old daughter playing varsity ball, 5'2" but strong. Is the CF8 cost worth it compared to Vendetta cost? And what size and drop do you recommend? Dineromaker
One of the advantages of the DeMarini CF models compared to the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP will be the balanced swing weight design; the CF models will be more evenly balanced than the Vendetta but how much that actually improves performance is hard to tell. As for the correct length and weight to get, would recommend using our bat coach feature: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Cameron
Is this red & green or a pink & green? Gary
The DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP) is going to feature a red and green color scheme.
Carter
Is this bat slightly end-loaded? Kym
I would not characterize the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP) as an end loaded bat, but with that being said it is not that most balanced bat around.
Carter
My daughter is in her second season, is 11 years old and about 5'3"-5'4" and 85 pounds and pretty skinny. What size bat would you recommend? Aaron
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP.
Jason
My daughter is 4'8", 11 years old, and 76 lbs. What size bat would you recommend? softball momma
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP.
Jason
My daughter is 4'11" and 85 lbs. What size bat would be suitable? Chris
Based on your players height and weight, I would recommend the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 31" 21oz size.
Logan
My daughter is 5'1" and 105 pounds. What size bat would your recommend? Abby
We advise going with a 31" bat for your daughter. The DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP would be a great option for her.
Sean
My daughter is 9, 4'7" and 80 pounds. She has been using a 29/16 for the last 2 years. She is starting travel ball and I wanted to upgrade her bat. I see this bat on clearance only comes in 31/21. What do you recommend? Todd
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting a 31 inch bat. As for the weight this will be determined by how well she was handling the 16 ounce bat previously using. Going up 5 ounces to a 31/21 might be too much for a 9 year old to handle and it might beneficial to go with a 30/18.
Cameron
My daughter is a freshmen playing on Varsity and she is currently using the team bats which are 33 inches, 23 ounces. She is 5'5" about 120 pounds. Is this the correct bat for her to use? Pammy
We would recommend a 32" or 33" length of bat, so yes, that's about right.
Kyle J.
My daughter is 14, 5'3" and weighs 120. What size bat do you recommend? Hector M Galindo
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 32''.
Tori
My daughter is 5'2", 120 lbs and is currently using a 30 in 18 oz DeMarini. What size would you recommend her moving up to? RB
Based on her height and weight we would recommend a 32"/22 ounce DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCP).
Carter
My daughter is 5'9" and 115 lbs. What size fastpitch bat should I get? smiles4326
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 33 inch model.
Cameron
My daughter is 11 yrs old, height 5'1 inch, and weighs 125. What size bat would be recommended? Nicole
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXVCP in a 32 inch model.
Cameron
What the story on cold weather use? What temp is not recommended and why? These early season games can get pretty chilly. I just dont want to mess up the bat. Mike
Our general recommendation is that you try not to use a bat under 45 degrees if possible. We understand sometimes that can't be helped, so if you have to do so try and keep the bat stored in the player's bat bag between at bats. Bats have higher risk of breaking/cracking in the cold because aluminum bats become more brittle in colder temperatures, and the same thing happens with the fibers on a composite bat.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
