Absent from the market for 15 years, Dudley has been rigorously testing the Lightning Legend Series to ensure it lives up to the standards of one of the biggest names in the slow pitch softball industry. The Lightning Legend Series is a one-piece, fully composite design that's made from Dudley's Fusion Composite. This proprietary blend is hot out of the wrapper but offers exceptional durability for the higher-performing Senior Softball category. This model is not backed by warranty, but it does provide players with the highest softball performance standard with the BPF 1.21 certification. Not only are these bats hot, but they feature Dudley's innovative Grip Spin Technology. Grip Spin is engineered into the bats barrel and allows the barrel surface to "grip" the ball and increase its spin revolutions. More backspin means more distance. Cons: Not satisfied at all with the expectations and desire to drive the ball further and the Dudley Spin technology. Dud is more likely with this bat.

this bat is a monster joey honga player

Pros: Awesome bat. I like this version then the endload. I bought it for myself and now it made me a better player. I been hitting hard and winning games in our league. A great game changer. I recommend the dudley lightning to everyone.

Cons: My friends need to get use to the silicon texture. Miss hits kills us pop fly.

Not a DUDley Mr. Wolf player

Pros: I ordered a 28oz. balanced, it felt very light as though it was a 27oz. bat. I don't agree with one of the reviews as this bat being a dud. It performed very well after it got broken-in. After breaking it in, I feel this bat may have more durability than other senior bats.

Cons: I don't like the Grip Spin Technology, I had too many pop-up fly balls. What I did to counter act the technology was not to wash the ball marks off the bat as suggested by Dudley.

Not DUDley, no way Mr. Wolf player

Pros: I ordered a 28oz bat, it swings as though it's a 27oz. It has good pop as any other senior bat. They way it broke-in, I suspect that a short-time durability won't be a problem. It's been a year and I haven't heard any of my friends cracking their Dudley bat.

Cons: The Spin Grip Technology barrel has the ball popping up more than its fair share so what I did to counter act it, it's not washing off the ball marks on the barrel as recommended by Dudley. But on a line-drive hit with SGT, it can do some unusual top-spins or back-spins.

Is this bat only suited for 52 core 300 compression softballs? FENWAY

The SSUSA rules state that men will use a .44 core ball with compression no greater than 375 and women will use .47 core with no more than 525 compression. It would stand to reason that the 2015 Dudley Lightning Legend Series Balanced SSUSA Slowpitch Bat (LLBSP) is designed to perform well with those balls but could possibly work with other similarly structured balls.

The 2015 Dudley Lightning Legend Series Balanced SSUSA Slowpitch Bat (LLBSP) comes with a 13 inch barrel length. That is the only way it is manufactured currently.
