got to get this great bat early joe player

Pros: Has so much pop. I started off the season with no homeruns in my life. At first I was using the 2014 easton xl3. Now I've already hit 9 homeruns. I am currently on the U11 team and still working on getting better.

Cons: Nothing

Best bat I've ever owned. NMR player

Pros: With the 2 3/4 inch barrel you just can't miss the ball. With the TCT thermo composite, the ball trampolines off the bat with an awesome sound. I can't say enough about the diamond grip. It feels fantastic. Another great feature is the light swing weight. This truly is the lightest bat with the biggest barrel. I highly recommend this bat to everyone, contact and power hitters.

Great Bat Travel Coach / Dad coach

Pros: Bat has tons of pop with a noticeably larger than normal sweet spot. Son who is playing 10U this year is swinging the 29/19 and absolutely loves it.

It's a good bat, but......... Coach Oz coach

Pros: Nice Grip, big barrel, decent pop

Cons: The Easton marketing machine strikes. Go have your Mako weighed. Your bat is listed as a drop 10 bat, but you will find that it is actually drop 8. Drop 8! We had 6 kids swing Makos on our team last year and we weighed all 6 bats. Every single one was drop 8 instead of drop 10. While our offensive numbers improved in average and OBP, our power numbers dropped. We came to the conclusion that 1/2 our team was swinging a bat that was heavier than advertised giving them less bat speed than what the kids had swung in prior years. This is only the OPINION of me and my coaching staff. It is noteworthy that a 30 inch bat actually weighs 22oz instead of the advertised 20oz., however. Something for consideration when choosing this bat.

Lots of pop but not balanced ks10major parent

Pros: It does have a huge sweet spot and the ball does have a higher velocity coming off the bat. Inside pitches are easier to handle with the larger sweet spot.

Cons: The bat is definetly end loaded. There is a significant bat lag through the zone for my 9 year old who plays 10Major. He was using the same length/weight Marucci for the last 2 years as the MAKO. The MAKO is completely different. If it wasnt a gift would not buy it. The kids seem to rely on the technology of the bat instead of fundamentals with this bat.

Coach

Pros: Huge Barrel. The 2 3/4" Barrel seems like it strectchs forever. Really great pop, and great feel when they hit the sweet spot.

Cons: Too Heavy!! I bought a 28/18, and the MAKO is considerably heavier than 4 other 28/18 I compared it to, include 2 Eastons. I haven't weighed it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 21 oz, than 18 oz. Still a great bat, but it should be listed a drop 8. $300 spent just so the kids can use it as a weighted warmup bat.

Pros: Good pop, well balanced. I weighed the bat. It is a drop 10. I don't know what scale was used by the reviewer that says it is heavier, but on two different scales that I used, the bat weighs exactly 20 ounces. I bought the 30 -10. My 9 year old lefty weighs 75 lbs and he loves it!!

Best bat I've ever had Khaosman16 player

Pros: This is truly the best bat I've ever swung and I can't wait to get the 2016 mako this bat was crazy good I went 9 for 10 in the first turnement I had the bat. I truly recommend this bat for everyone. The ball flies off the bat with a composite pop the price was very worth it. I LOVE THIS BAT #GO MAKO

Cons: When you get on base and you drop your bat the grip gets dirty and the dirt stays on the bat. When you spit on it, it restores the grip it only works for a couple of times then the grip does not work. I switched to a lizard skin baseball grip it was truly worth the price and it worked all the time dirty or not.

Careful about the weight Dave R parent

Pros: Decent feel

Cons: Bought this bat for my son. He likes the pop and feel. But the weight is off. I went and weighted it on a accurate certified scale. The bat label says it is 20 ounces. I weighed it, and it weighs about 21.6 ounces. I called Easton, and the Customer Service rep told me that I could send it back, but there was no guarantee that I could get a bat back that was any different. He said he did not not specs, but that maybe plus or minus 2 ounces sounded about right to him. This is consistent with what I have been finding I have weighed 5 Easton bats (2015/2016 vintage), and ALL are over weight by 1.6 ounces to 2.25 ounces. Eastons' technology may be pretty good, but their Manufacturing Procedures, and Quality Assurance Procedures are sub-standard. I would classify them as "Industrial" grade. Certainly not High Precision. Not worthy of the cost. If you like the swing fine. But be very careful about picking a an Easton product based on weight. I won't be buying another Easton.

Mako great quality very consistent 10u travel ball kid player

Pros: Get what you pay for! Good quality very durable great pop this is the 2nd Mako I have got for my son who is now a 10u travel ball player. He is a smaller kid with quick bat speed. He is more of a contact hitter with a little power. He continues to hit line drives or if it's a grounder it's unfieldable. He has hit several bombs to the fence which is about 200- 220 ft. The Mako is the truth!

Easton Mako 29" and 28" Drop -10 Travel Team Parent parent

Pros: Great bat. Pop, balanced, very nice.

Cons: The bats are actually both drop -8. I weighed both bats on two different scales. I have 12u and 10u travel team boys. As an aside, I have weighed other bats from Easton which are closer to what they advertise. However, Easton stands behind their products and if you are within the 1 year warranty, you can return it for a replacement.

Too heavy. 17 oz bat is actually 20 oz, only -7.. JohnD parent

Pros: Good pop.. I hit it into the net a bit when we got it and the ball really jumps off it.

Cons: When I let my 6 year old have it, (27/17) He's 4'4" and weighs in around 65 lbs. He went from an S3 that weighs 17.6 oz to this and the first time he used it, he just couldn't get it around. I never thought it could be that far off until I weighed it. 20.0 oz even on 2 different scales.

Weigh EASTON Bats - not accurate for lighter one's John G parent

Pros: Good look and decent feel. Pop was average to start but not what we expected coming from Easton. We thought it would get better as we broke the bat in. Not a lot of vibration. Sound was good. Grip was solid.

Cons: My son went from a 31 inch, 29 ounce drop 13 (Demarini/Voodoo; Little League) to the Easton Mako (white & orange), 27 inch, 17 ounce drop 10. Several experts within his travel organization recommended the size change. They talked us into going with a shorter, lighter bat to try and eliminate his barrel from dropping. We bought the Easton Mako. My son worked hard all season to fix this. Needless to say it was naturally happening but got better to the point that it was only dropping a couple of inches opposed to 10-12 when he originally started swinging the Demarini. I spoke with several people within the organization that mentioned that the bat could be "weighted" wrong and that Easton was famous for that. I laughed thinking, how could that be if they weighed there bats before they send them out to meet each specification. I had the bat weighed by three people and it weight 19.929 ounces. 2.929 heavier than what is was supposed to be. We just switched back to Demarini.

Beast bat Connorg13/ Beastmode player

Pros: Even though I only owned this bat for 1 year, it allowed me to hit the ball harder and farther than any other bat. It has great pop and speed too, allowing me to quickly turn on inside pitches and hit faster pitchers. I also went to try the 2016 mako and I believe that the 2015 model is more durable and can me used in more ways than just the 2016 model with a bunch of pop.

Cons: None.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is there any difference from the 2014 model other than the graphics? abats
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is the same bat other than the new cosmetic look and an increase in durability.
Jason
Is the 2 3/4 inch barrel approved for Pony baseball Mustang division? lions
No. 2 3/4 inch barrel diameter bats like the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) are not allowed in any level of play of Pony Baseball. 2 5/8 is the maximum barrel diameter they allow.
Patrick
Does the new MAKO have different composite than last year's model? budwagon
No, the TCT composite barrel in the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is the same composite material used in last year's 2014 MAKO.
Tessa
My son has been using an XL1 the past couple of years, very successfully! Do you think switching to a balanced Mako will mess with his swing any? zd4418
I would not think switching to the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) will hurt his swing at all. If anything, it will improve his bat speed. Improved bat speed can increase how far the ball is hit. You should feel very comfortable about trying the MAKO out.
Brandon
My son is more of a contact hitter. Which bat is better suited for him: the 2015 Easton Mako 2 3/4" or 2015 Easton S3 2 3/4"? We generally play all year in GA. So possibly could face colder temps. Derek
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) will be the better bat for him. It will be just as balanced and light as the S3 but with a longer more extended barrel length. It will also feature composite material while the S3 will feature a full alloy design.
Brandon
My son plays with the 2014 RIP IT AIR -10 29" with great success. He loves the balance and light weight feel. However, the 2015 felt very different, and he did not like it. Therefore, I thought we'd try the senior league Easton MAKO. Which bat would feel lighter and more balanced? The MAKO (-10) or (-9)? baller42
The (-10) 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14MKB) will a little bit lighter. However, in terms of balance, all of the Easton MAKO's will have a similar weight distribution, and low MOI. Therefore, this model will be extremely easy to generate a fast bat swing, and will allow players to generate even more momentum through the zone.
Merritt
My son is 53" and 70 lbs. What size bat would be appropriate? baller42
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 28" model in the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B)
Jason
How does this bat compare to the 2015 YB15MK? CRAIG
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the 2015 Easton MAKO Youth Baseball Bat (YB15MK) are similar in the overall design of the bat besides the SL15MK10B having a much bigger barrel diameter.
Patrick
My son has used the Easton XL1 the last 2 years. He was going from 30/20 to 31/21 and now I am looking at getting him a 32" bat. He is 10, 5'3", and 178 lbs. I was looking at a 32/27 2015 XL1. He hammers the ball now. Am I gaining anything going to the MAKO or should we stick with the XL1? Will
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) will not be available in a -5. The MAKO series will feel much more balanced compared to the XL-Series. They will share the same barrel length. If he has great bat speed already the XL-Series should suit him perfectly. If he needs to gain more bat speed I would look toward the new MAKO Torq Series.
Brandon
I heard there are some bats you should not use in cold weather. What would be the lowest temperature you could use this bat in? How does cold temperatures affect bats? CRAIG
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B), like any composite bat, should not be used in temperatures below 55 degrees. The baseball becomes more dense in the colder temperatures and can cause durability issues with the bat, such as cracking.
Jason
I am about 5'3" and 160 lbs. I am wondering what size would be appropriate? Goose Gruell
The 32" size would be recommended for you in the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B).
Brandon
My son is really torn between the 2015 Mako Senior League bat and the 2015 S1. He is 8 and is using the new Mako Torq and is killing the ball. We were wanting to get him a big barrel bat for his travel team but we just can't decide. I love the Mako but he likes them both but leans toward the S1 for how it looks I think. beastmode
Both the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the 2015 Easton S1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S110) are nice options. The MAKO has a bigger barrel diameter and longer barrel length for a larger sweet spot but the S1 will be slightly better balanced making it feel lighter. Preference between the two would come down to what feature you value more.
Patrick
I am wondering what size bat you would recommend. My son will be 10 in December. For the last two years he has used a 30 inch 18 ounce bat. Do you think the 30 inch 20 ounce is the right fit? He is 5 foot 1 and weighs 98 pounds. He currently uses a Louisville Slugger but I am looking at the Easton MAKO. Also, is there any difference between the 2014 to 2015 model? gman
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14MKB) are very similar in overall design and performance. The main differences are cosmetic in nature. Based on your son's height and weight, we would think a 30 inch 20 ounce model would be a good fit.
Patrick
My son is 9 he will be 10 in April. He has been swinging a 27 inch 18 ounce bat. What would be good for him in this bat? smiller
Sizing of the bat would be dependent more on his height and weight rather than the age of the player but if he has been using the 27 inch 18 ounce bat and has had success, the 28 inch 18 ounce 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) would probably be a good fit.
Patrick
I was wondering what size would be best for me? I am 5'4" and 118 pounds. Calvin
Based on your height and weight, our Bat Coach recommends a 31" 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B).
Tessa
I am 5'8" and 140 lbs. What would be the correct length for me? What is different between this year's model and last year's model? Zuc
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B). The 2015 MAKO and the 2014 MAKO are the same bat except for the cosmetic appearance.
Jason
Can you expand on your durability comments in comparing the 2015 and 2014 models? chris
There's not really any change in the TCT Thermo Composite material between the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the 2014 model. The 2014 and 2015 MAKO models will be extremely similar in durability.
Tom
Is there a break-in period on the MAKO or is it as good as it gets right out of the box? Nikko
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is a two-piece full TCT Thermo Composite. The general rule of thumb with composite bats is that they are not hot right of the box and do require a break in period. I recommend taking 150-200 swings playing soft toss or off a tee using real baseballs. Begin swinging at 40% power and work your way up to full strength as you get closer to 200 swings. It"s also important to rotate the bat ¼' after each swing to ensure that you get complete barrel coverage.
Jake
My son is 5 foot 4, weighs 110 pounds and is 10 years old. What bat and weight would be good? Reg
What type and weight of bat would be based more on what he is used to using and preference of feel. The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is a top of the line model and is a great fit for most hitting styles. Based on his height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch model.
Patrick
What is the difference between the 2015 MAKO and the 2015 CF7? Which is better for a more contact hitter that hits line drives? Jim
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) is a two-piece well-balanced bat featuring the Paradox Carbon Fiber Composite barrel, as well as a D-Fusion handle for maximum energy transfer and low shock absorption. The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is also a two-piece well-balanced bat featuring the TCT Thermo Composite with an Ultra-thin Diamon Performance Handle. Both bats will be designed more for contact hitters and will be very similar in terms of performance and break-in time.

My son is moving up to modified baseball this spring, and is required to us a BBCOR bat. He is 5'1" 110 lbs and has fast hands through the the strike zone. Is their a significant difference between the MAKO 2014 and 2015? What size do you recommend? Dave
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the 2014 MAKO are identical bats. The only difference is the cosmetic appearance of the bat. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK).
Jason
Which is the better bat, the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat or Easton XL1 Senior League Baseball Bat? rooster
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and Easton XL1 Senior League are extremely similar bats as far as composition material goes. The main difference is the MAKO will have a balanced swing weight and the XL1 will be end loaded so it will come down to your personal swing weight preference.
Tom
How does this bat compare to the COMBAT Bubba? dboy
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) will feature a different type of composite material compared to the Bubba bat. The MAKO's barrel length will also be more extended. The pop on both bats will be pretty similar.
Brandon
I had a friend who said he had one of these, and he said the pop only lasted for about a week. I wanted to know if this was true or not. Once I break it in, how long will it last? Ian
The "pop" on the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) should last as well as on any other high end composite bat. If there is a significant drop in performance due to damage to the bat, it is covered for 12 months through a manufacturer's warranty for replacement. There is no way to predict how long a bat will last due to the countless ways and situations it can be used in.
Patrick
What is the difference between the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League and the Louisville Slugger Omaha 515 Senior League? Luke B.
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is a two-piece full composite design. The Louisville Slugger Omaha 515 will be a one-piece all alloy design.
John

Joe
Is it half aluminum and half composite? baseball11
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) will feature a two-piece full composite design.
Joe
Where does the pop come from? caleb
The "pop" on the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is actually not a technical term. The MAKO will feature a large sweet spot, but most of it's performance will be due to the TCT Thermo Composite construction.
Joe
How does this bat compare to the DeMarini CF6? Baseball dad
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the DeMarini CF6 are both very comparable bats. They both feature two-piece fully composite designs with balanced swing weights. The main differences between the bats is the D-Fusion handle featured on the CF6 and the extended barrel on the MAKO. The D-Fusion handle helps eliminate vibration on balls that are not squared up. The MAKO has a bigger 2 3/4" barrel diameter and an overall longer barrel that gives the bat a massive sweet spot.
Jason
What is the difference between the SL15MK10B and the SL14MK10B? My son is 9, 4'11 and weighs 105 lbs. What is the right size I should get for him? He swung the original MAKO last year 28-17 2 1/4 barrel. Big E
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the (SL14MK10B) are the same bat. The only difference between the two is the cosmetic appearance. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 30" model.
Jason
My son is considered a power hitter. He's strong big kid. I am looking at getting a new bat. It was recommended I look for a end-weighted bat. He has been using a Combat Portent and had good success, just the pop is gone. Is this bat a good recommendation? I was also considering the 2015 COMBAT Portent G3 -8. What bat would you recommend? Dave
Based on the type of hitter your son is, we would recommend the 2015 COMBAT Portent G3 (PG3SL108) over the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B). The COMBAT is a one-piece bat, which is more preferred for power hitters.
Chinyere
Is this bat allowed in Junior League baseball? Jacobe baseball
It is not. The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is not approved for play in the Junior League division of Little League baseball because of two factors. This bat has a 2 3/4" barrel diameter which is not allowed in Little League baseball play. And this MAKO has a composite barrel. In the division that allow the use of a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, you are not allowed to use a composite model unless it is a BBCOR certified bat. For most players, this restricts you to using big barrel bats with alloy hitting surfaces because BBCOR bats are much heavier with their -3 length to weight ratio.
Mac
My son is 4'5" and 82 lbs. What size and weight would you recommend? "JOJO"
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 29" 19 oz model in the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B).
Jason
My grandson is 4'8" tall and weighs 82 lbs. He is asking me for a 31" bat and currently uses 30" 19 oz., What size would you recommend? J
The bat coach feature on our website is recommending that someone your grandson's age uses a 29-30" bat, so that 31" 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) may be a little long for him. However, if he is having no trouble swinging the 30" then it is possible that he could be ready to move up to the 31".
Liz
My son currently uses the 2014 RIP-IT bat. He likes it. Will you compare this to the MAKO for performance? He is a strong kid; a long ball hitter. About 5'4" tall and 95 lbs. What size would you recommend? Or should we consider a newer RIP-IT? Tabes5
For his size we would recommend a 31" in the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B). The MAKO is going to be a balanced two piece composite, while the RIP-IT is a balanced one piece alloy. Either of these bats are great options for your player.
Allison

Which bat is better? The 2015 MAKO or the 2015 DeMarini Overlord? jack
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) and the DeMarini Overlord are going to be designed differently. The 2015 Easton MAKO is going to be a two-piece fully composite balanced designed bat that is made more for a contact hitter. Where as the DeMarini Overlord is going to be a hybrid design bat with a composite handle and an alloy barrel that feature an end-loaded swing weight, which is designed more for the power hitter.
Liz

The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) evenly distributes the bats weight to give it a balanced feel for a lighter swing weight.
Patrick
I'm in a 13-15 year old Babe Ruth league. What Easton MAKO bat should I get for my league! Howie
If you want to use an Easton MAKO bat for your league you would have to use the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK). Because the MAKO is has a composite barrel the Babe Ruth 13-15 division only allows BBCOR certified bats to have composite barrels. BBCOR bats are all -3.
Damon
My son is currently using the MAKO 30" 19 oz. What size would you recommend? He is 11 and 85 lbs. elliott
As a general rule of thumb, we recommend going up an inch and an ounce when sizing up for bats. Since the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is a Big Barrel bat and the MAKO that he has used previously was a Youth option, the sizing will truly be preferential. If he is comfortable going up the extra inch as well as the two ounces, the 31" 21 oz. should be ok. If he struggled with the 30" 19 oz. Youth MAKO, I would recommend staying with a 30" 20 oz. size instead. For more information on sizing, you can check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa

Based on height and weight, we would think that a 27 inch 17 ounce size of the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) would be a good fit for your player.
Patrick
My son is 8, weighs 82 lbs., and is 4'8" tall. I am looking at the (SL15MK10B) bat. What size do you recommend? Big Bill
For a player of that size, I would suggest going with the 29" model of the 2015 Easton MAKO (SL15MK10B).
Marcus
My son is a 10 year old and he is starting to play on an 11U travel team. He is a solid hitter with some power on occasion. He is 5 foot 1 and weighs about 105 pounds. I was looking at the Mako -10 30 inch 20 ounce 2 3/4 inch barrel diameter bat for him. Does this sound like a good fit? Jason
The 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) would be a nice option for his style of hitting. While the 30 inch model may work, we would more typically suggest a 31 inch size.
Patrick

My son is 5'9" and around 140 lbs. What size Easton MAKO SL Bat would you recommend? Or would you recommend something else? Last year he used the 32 in 22 oz SL14310, but it dented so need to replace it. We live in Boston area, early season can be a bit cool. He bats 3rd and is a solid hitter - getting on base as well as hitting home runs. Srbolt
Based on your son's height and weight, I would recommend that he swing a 33" bat. As for the weight, I would base that on how well he currently swings the 22 oz bat. If he swings that well with good bat speed, then he would be able to increase the weight of the bat. The extra ounces in the bat will help put more mass behind the baseball, thus creating more power. I think the 2016 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16MK10 would be a great option. We typically do not recommend using any bats (alloy or composite) in temperatures less than 60 degrees. However, we understand that in certain parts of the country it is inevitable, so I would just recommend as much limited use as possible on your bat in these temperatures.
Nick
My son will turn 8 on May 1st and is 4'2" and roughly 65 lbs. What size bat do you recommend? He normally swings a 28 in Little League, but I was wondering if we should size down for big barrel with less drop. RDC
Based on his height and weight, I would suggest a 28" model in the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B. However, if you feel that his bat speed will slow down or he will not be able to handle the weight then you could certainly drop down an inch.
Jason
Does this bat vibrate more or less than others? cboy02
The Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) is a two-piece bat which is designed to cut down on vibration compared to most one-piece bats.
Damon
My son will be 10 in April. He is 52" and weighs 67 lbs. He is a contact hitter. Last year he used a 27/17 Easton S3 (2-year old black/yellow model) and made consistent contact. I'm looking at the 2015 Easton S3, Easton MAKO, and Combat Portent G4. Which bat do you think would be best for him and what length/weight? pwm
Between all the bats being considered, if you are looking for the bat with the highest number of quality reviews at JustBats, I would recommend this Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B). For your player's size, I think a 28"/18 oz model will be best for him.
Ben
My son is 8 and he is 55" and weighs 70 lbs. Which bat do you think would be best for him and what length/weight? Jennifer
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would recommend using a 31" Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B.
John P.
My player is 12 years old, 4'10" and 70+ pounds. I am between the 2015 S1 (SL15S110) and the 2015 Mako (SL15MK10B). You mention in these posts that the MAKO has a longer sweet spot for the barrel. How much longer before it tapers towards the handle? LB
Based upon your player's height and weight, we would make a general recommendation of getting a Senior League/Youth Big Barrel bat with a 30" length. As long as your player can handle the 20 oz weight, I would recommend either option of the bats being considered in the 30" length. When deciding between the bats you'll need to decide if you want the 2 5/8" barrel on the S1 or the 2 3/4" barrel on this Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B). Unfortunately, I would not be able to give the exact measurements on how much longer the barrel length will be on the MAKO, but it will be longer overall when compared to the S1 (bigger barrel length = more sweet spot).
Ben
My son is 5'4" and weighs about 102 pounds. What bat is best for him? Loren
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B in a 31 inch 21 ounce model.

Jake
My son is 59" and 98 lbs. What size is right? Nikko
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B in a 30 inch 20 ounce model.
Cameron
My son is 11, 5'2" and weighs about 90 pounds. What size would you recommend? Bob
For a player of his size, I would suggest getting the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B in the 30" 20 oz. size.
Marcus
My son is 6 years old, is 45" and weighs 46 lbs. What's a good bat for him? Size? mosca
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would recommend getting this Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK10B) in the 27" length. As long as you feel that your player can handle the 17 oz weight of the 27" model, I would recommend that size option of this bat. If your player can handle the size option recommended, then I think this will be an excellent bat for him.
Ben
My son is 11 years old, 5'1" and weighs 138 lbs. He has been hitting with your Easton SL14MK10B (30", 20oz) big barrel. Does this bat loose its "pop" after a while? How long do they last? Also, would moving up to the 31/20 be good? BigD
All bats will lose their "pop" at some point but there is no way to determine just how many hits any one particular bat will have in it. Typically, most bats will either dent (alloy) or crack (composite) making it easy on the consumer to know that a new bat is needing to be ordered. As for moving up to a 31/20, based on his height and weight this would be advised for the Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B; would only suggest staying with the current 30/20 model if he is having issues getting the barrel head through the zone with the 20 ounce weight.
Cameron
What year is this bat? Amber
The Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15MK10B is a 2015 model.
