Wow sweet bat Dean (Deano) Smith #6 player

Pros: Like they said .HOT bat right out of the wrapper!!! I have always swung a balance bat and have been playing for twenty plus years. Could not believe the feel of this bat when I just hit a hundred balls with it. Moved up to play some senior ball and did my home work and I KNOW I did the right thing. Awesome bat!!! Can't wait for league to start!!!

Once broken in the ball flys! 5150 Bats player

Pros: Had the last izzy, got this one in a oz bigger, didn't seem to have that Barrell sound like the last one but once I put a few huts on it, it really started to open up, and was hitting lasers and bombs. Miken does it again!

Cons: Break in period, not completely hot out of the wrapper. Colors are ok...

stupid HOT!! gwill player

Pros: I'm NOT an opp o field hitter as a right hander.. normally a dead pull hitter.. started going yard opp o with in 30 swings.. as for dead pull bombs....just to easy. Hottest bat ever used.

Cons: "Missed" hits end up as popcorn BUT go yard anyway. limited HR leagues equals outs. So really zero cons....

The Bat that can Michael BigBad player

Pros: Took out of wrapper went to the field hit around same day as i got it. No hesitations cracked 'em deep nearly every time. I have not owned a bat this nice before. Also feels perfect in the end, i love the way and end loaded bat feels.

Cons: The bat does have a matte finish not a shine finish. I just assumed it would have more of a normal bat finish but this one comes with a matte finish (It looks awesome)

Pros: I was not a big hitter until I got this bat! Now I can hit it 300+. Was using a Miken Freak and this hits way better. Hit great out of the wrapper but gets better everyday!

Awesome bat Tom Hebert player

Pros: This bat scary hot out of the wrapper, like head shaking hot. Crushes all the different core balls with no issue 1oz EL (feels like more than 1oz) gives bat a nice whip. To date very durable, team has 4 of them all with about 500 to 1000 swings, with no issues... other than crushing softballs.

Pros: Insane pop out of our live on field bp with the wind blowing in from right field I put 18 of my 32 pitches to the fence in air. And 4 over the left field fence. This bat is 110% legit! The grip is 10/10. The loaded end is 10/10 the one ounce end loaded helped the follow through big time! This is now my bat of choice. Note bat isnt broken in yet.

Cons: A bit stiff.

This is all you need in a bat FD player

Pros: This bat is extremely hot as far as the sweet spot. I love the colors and design and the ball jumps off immediately out of the wrapper. If you are a balanced bat guy get it an ounce lighter. I was strictly a base hitter but this bat gives you the best of both worlds. The bat swings through the zone with ease and you will get positive results!!! Miken hit a grand slam with this one!

Talk abour a legit upgrade from last years model. D-Train player

Pros: I have last years model and decided to get this years and WOW. I bought the 30 and the end load is unbelievable. Barrel is extremely heavy so you whip it through the zone that ball is going somewhere. does not matter what compression the ball is this bat is ready for it.

Cons: It's hot but there is still a break in period. It's a single piece so it is stiff out of the wrapper. give it 50 swing, basically one day at practice and it's game ready.

Busted after about 50 swings Todd hall player

Pros: Bought this bat may 8, already sending back for a return because it cracked/busted thru after about about 50 swings. We played 2 games with it, hot out of the wrapper. The next practice, initially i thought it was just the paint chipping off but no. It had cracked all the way through to the core.

Cons: Durability? Guess ill find out when the return comes, hope its just "this" bat cause that a lot of money to spend to only get around 50 swings out of it.

Pros: This bat is legit hitting shots to every part of field feel bad for first pitcher that gets hit from this bat. I don't go up middle on purpose but it happens. This bat is the nicest bat I have ever swung hot out the wrapper.

Cons: a lil bit smaller sweet spot than expected but still nice. Stings hands if hit on inside part of bat but if the ball hots sweet spot guaranteed shots all day long

HOT OUT OF THE WRAPPER!!! Mike Barnett player

Pros: This bat is just ridiculous. It's hot right out of the wrapper. The first hit I put on it went about 290ft and I barely even swung. The sweet spot on this bat is insane. My friend and I did BP yesterday and we were putting them in the 300ft plus range with no problem. Even if you're not a homerun hitter, you're gonna be putting lasers over the infields head with no problem.

Pros: This bat has great feel, pop and the maxload end loaded version helps you swing through the strike zone with ease. When you connect with the ball it will go a loooong way!

Cons: It is not as hot out of the wrapper as people will lead you to believe. Take this to a team batting practice session and get them to put 300 swings in and you will be good to go!

None of us are big guys (all are between 5' 6"-5' 10" and 160-180 lbs) but we were crushing balls over the 280 fence. This is the best bat we've used so far.

Getting Older TR player

Pros: Thought I was losing some pop due to age, mid-forties, but decided maybe it was the bat, five year old Demarini One used by the whole team. This bat is as advertised. First hit a laser up the middle, no more than 20 feet off the ground, landed 275, rolled another hundred. Second, 325+ over left field fence. Excellent pop, can't wait for it to break in.

Cons: Feels heavier than it is due to end load, very different feel if you're used to a balance bat. Other team keeps asking umps to check the bat

Very Impressed Kevin player

Pros: Great pop and feel of the bat. I am 5'10 180lbs and purchased the 27 oz bat. I have been more of a base hitter in my co-ed league. After hitting once at the cages I took some batting practice at the field and drilled the 300' fence in the air. So far the bat has only been used for less than 100 swings and I can see a major improvement in my distance. I am hoping this season that I can hit my first home run as the bat breaks in more.

One hot bat. 2 HRs in the first game. Chris player

Pros: This is the best bat I've owned since I had the Miken NRG 600. I went with the 27 oz and hit one out of a 300' field my second at bat. I average a home run about every 5 at bats, so nothing new, but this bat definitely is the best bat I've used since the new USSSA stamp was required a couple years ago. One other guy hit one out the first night with the bat. I should have had a couple more but my pitch selection is one with little patience. I've swung another guy's 28 oz version of this bat, and have hit 5 so far with his bat before getting my 27 oz. Solid bat for sure.

Cons: The flat black finish scratches easily.

Very smooth feel Josh player

Pros: Our team has a 28 oz. The bat was ready to hit right out of the package. I normally swing a 30 oz but this bat was new so I gave it a try. The very first time I hit with it I crushed a line drive over the fence after having a pretty off day with my other bat. Results may vary, but either way this bat is hot and fairly priced. Miken continues to amaze me with their softball bats. I probably won't ever use another brand. If you're having any second thoughts just pull the trigger on this bat. You won't regret it.

Pros: When I first got this bat, it was awesome! I was hitting the 300' fence, on my first at bats. But after about 3 weeks, it didn't feel or sound right, and it lost it's pop. So I sent it back to Miken. They said the Nitrogen gas escaped from the bat. I didn't know they put gas in the bats. So when I got the bat back, it still was not the same. I feel more comfortable at the plate knowing I have this bat in my hands. First 2 weeks using it and I'm hitting shots, high and far. The bat just feels great when the balls flies off.

Cons: Nothing, yet. Hopefully never.

Pros: Just got my Miken supermax After talking to Ben from customer service I decided to switch from years of using Louisville slugger TPS bays to this Miken. I immediately took it out to my horse pasture and not even out of the wrapper stated hitting. I love it I'm hitting like I did a few years ago. Great feel & pop. It's a keeper. Oh did I say I'm 72 & played ball since I was 12

Pros: I hit with this bat for the first time yesterday. Had to hit on a highschool baseball field and put one 10 extra feet over the center field 350ft sign. Very impressed with this bat out of the wrapper. If it gets any hotter as it breaks in I'm sure people will be accusing me of having it shaved.

Great Bat. Repeat buyer. Andy player

Pros: I had purchased a 28 oz originally a few years ago. It was used as the primary bat for one of my teams. It hit well and held up well for multiple years. I just got a 27 oz new for my coed team and started using it last week. my first 3 swings with it were hrs. So far I'm 8-10 with is with 6 hr and a double. If you make good contact the ball will fly.

Cons: I don't have anything negative to say. I like the bat.

Cons: At this time I do not see the pop from what I read on the other reviews before I purchased this bat. I think my Miken Ultra II has much more pop than this bat. It is taking awhile to break in this bat and hopefully down the road the bat will provide the pop that other people have expressed.

Cons: Terrible grip get that thing replaced. I've gotten a lot of cuts in with this bat and still not broken in but still has good pop. I've probably felt more vibrations in this bat than any other composite I've used but that could also be because of the grip like I said replace that grip ASAP

Pros: Lots of pop, very first swing sent the ball over the fence. Also has a great balance. Some end loaded bats feel weird to swing, this still feels balanced in my hands but doesn’t sacrifice and power.

Just wondering, does this bat hit the 52/275 core ball with no problems and many home runs? jj torres
Yes, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax: SPSYMU Slow Pitch bat will be able to crush the USSSA Classic M Plus .52 core 275 balls.
Brandon
Does this bat add a half ounce or a whole ounce of weight? Bob
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) has a full ounce end load.
John
Any durability issues with this bat and hitting 44/375"s? Scott
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) can be used with the 44/375 balls since it is USSSA approved. We do not recommend using the 44 core balls with bats that are ASA approved.
Kara
The Izzy 2015 SuperMax SPSYMU (VS) the Miken 750 Maxload both ASA approved how do they compare to each other? I'm ready to buy a bat. What recommendation do you have to the best ASA bat for the .44 core ball that has 5 stars. Thanks. Desert Dry Sack
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax: SPSYMU Slow Pitch bat will be USSSA approved and not ASA apporved. The highest rated ASA bat for you would be the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch. The newer 2015 bats do not have any reviews as of yet.
Brandon
Will this bat crash with 52/270 and 52/300 cor ball? What about 2014 Psycho is it same barrel as 2015? jer
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) is USSSA approved, and will perform better with the older 44 core balls. We recommend the 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (UL75MA) for optimal performance with the 52 core balls.
Tessa L.
Does the 2014 Psycho have the same pop as the 2015 Psycho? Mark
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) Slow Pitch is the exact same design as the 2014 Psycho. The only difference is the paint/color scheme.
Jason
I see it's an end load bat, I'm use to swinging a 28 oz bat, should I step down to a 27 or stay where I'm at with the 28 oz? twisted33
I would stay at the 28Oz with the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU). Personally I feel that end loaded bats are easier to swing the heavier they are.
Jackson
I am a big guy 6'4" 260 lbs. I am a power hitter with decent bat speed and hit a lot of homer runs. I need to buy a new bat. What is your suggestion on which bat would be best suited for me? I don't care about the price, I want the best bat for me. shrek
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) is a great option. The full 1 oz. end load is ideal for a power hitter. The 750X composite materials provide outstanding performance and durability.
Kara
I want to know does this bat hit the .52/275 or .52/300 core ball? jj torres
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU Slow Pitch) bat is best suited for the harder .44 core balls. Bats that are only approved for ASA are best for the .52 core balls such as the 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (UL75MA).
Brandon
Is this bat USSSA stamped for 2014? mike
Yes. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) has the 2014 USSSA stamp.
Damon
Is this ASA approved? lee
No. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) Slow Pitch bat is not ASA approved.
Damon
Does this bat have NSA stamp? And is it good for .40 or .44 core balls? Steve
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax: SPSYMU has the NSA stamp. It is a great option to use with .40 or .44 core balls.
Kara
Which bat is better to use for the NYC clincher ball: This one or the M nation Supermax ASA Geno Buck bat? Eric
Both the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) and the 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck Maxload ASA (MNATMA) would be great options to use with the Clincher balls. For best results with the "mush" balls, you want to use a stiff one-piece bat that is also end loaded. Since both those models feature those specs, they both would do great. The better bat for you will be a matter of preference.
Tessa L.
I play mixed USSSA softball. I was wondering how this bat would handle the 11" USSSA girls ball? I'm a power hitter. I was also looking at the Psycho balanced bat, not sure if there is a better bat you would suggest for a woman. Linz
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) is and end loaded bat and recommended for a power hitter. It has a full one ounce end load. We typically recommend more of a balanced bat for females such as the 015 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA (SPSYBU). Both bats can be used with mixed USSSA softball.
Kara
I'm 5 foot 9 and weigh 220 pounds. I have hit my fair share of homers. What weight of bat should I go with to be more consistent with my bombs, heavier or lighter? sirens6
A heavier model of the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) may benefit your power numbers if you are able to swing it at the same speed. The equation is mass x velocity= power. If you go heavier and swing it at the same speed, your power should increase. If you sacrifice weight to get better bat speed it can achieve the same results but it would have to greatly increase the speed you produce.
Patrick
I am 5'11" and weigh 200 pounds. Since I am not a power hitter (home runs or triples) would this bat make up for the loss of power? I would like to hit the ball for distance. Based on my height and weight, would I choose a 28 oz or 30 oz bat? james
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) would be a great bat for someone looking to hit with power. It comes with a full 1 ounce end-load to give it more of a sledgehammer type swing that power hitters like. This bat is one of the more higher performing models available right now. Based on someone of your height and weight, I would recommend a 28oz model.
Kyle J.
I'm 5'8" and weigh 205 lbs. I'm not a power hitter I was wondering if a 26 oz. would improve my distance or would a heavier bat be a better choice? I like the bat speed I get with 26 oz. bats. kris
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) has a full one ounce end load. We recommend to use the 26 oz. The end loaded designed should help generate enough power for you.
Kara
Are there any differences between this bat and last year's model of the Izzy Psycho, aside from the look? waybon
There are no major differences between the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) and the 2014 model. Both feature 750x HPI technology and a one piece composite design.
Bobby
I am 5 foot 9 and weigh 195 pounds. I am a female. What size of bat would you recommend? PANTONAL
The most common weight of the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) used by a player of your size would be the 28 ounce version. If you feel that this would be a bit heavy, the 27 ounce size is also commonly used.
Patrick
I'm not sure if I should order the Miken end-loaded or balanced model. Most of my hits are at the opposite side. Can you please advise? gabe
If you are more of a power hitter, I would probably suggest the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax: (SPSYMU). If you are more of a contact-hitter I would probably suggest going for the balanced model. An even weight distribution will make it a little easier to swing through the zone. However, if you are able to generate power pretty easily, an end-loaded model would fit your game well.
Merritt
I am 4 foot 11 and weigh 95 pounds. I am looking to purchase a quality bat. Are there any cons for me using this bat for softball? mallory
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) is a great model and performs extremely well. The only thing I would hesitate about when recommending this bat you you would be the end-loaded design given your size. The more balanced 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA (SPSYBU) may be a better fit.
Patrick
I'm 5'10" and am more of the lead off guy to hit through gaps. I want something that will give me some extra power in case I am in a situation that calls for a home run. With other bats I usually can one hop the fence if I put everything into my swing. Would this be the bat for me? Should I consider something different? Peyton
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) has a one-piece end loaded design and is an ideal bat for increasing a players power. The best way to increase a players power is with a stiff one-piece bat with an end loaded swing weight.
Jason
If I have a 28 ounce Psycho and it has a 1 ounce end load, does the bat now weigh 29 ounces? flava
No. The actual weight of the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) would be 28 ounces. The end-loaded 1 ounce would just give it a feel like the bat would have an ounce of weight more towards the barrel.
Patrick
Is this a composite bat? bench
Absolutely. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is a one-piece, fully composite model.
Mac
I am currently looking for a great USSSA bat and have used Psychos in the past and they have been pretty good. I currently use a DeMarini dxone sunday swagger 2012 ed. I am looking to add just a bit more pop any suggestions for USSSA with classic m or possibly c+ balls? Ab
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) has some of the most pop of any USSSA bat. The Psycho is specifically designed for the USSSA balls and should perform very well for you.
Bobby
Is there a version of this bat that is ASA certified? big wiffer
Absolutely. Unfortunately, we do not currently have the 2015 Miken Psycho SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMA) in stock: http://goo.gl/kc77HB.
Mac
I am 6', 290 lbs and I have decent power, but not great bat speed. One of the guys on my team just bought the balanced version of this bat. I was wondering if the end loaded bat would help with my bat speed? BIGT
End loaded bats, like the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU), are best used by power hitters with great bat speed. If you are looking to increase your bat speed, then a balanced model is going to be better for you. Balanced models swing lighter than end loaded bats and are designed to increase a players bat speed.
Jason
I'm a 5'5", 150 lb. former baseball player. I'm looking for a bat that swings and feels like a baseball bat. I've heard Miken is as close as it gets. How true is this? SneakyPete
Unfortunately, no slow pitch bats will feel like baseball bats. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will be a great high performing slow pitch bat. It will have a barrel heavy, end loaded feel to the swing weight. At your size, the 26 oz. model would suit you best.
Brandon
I have a Triad 3 Maxload which has 0.5 ounces of end load. In 28 ounces, will this bat have similar feel? biggin
Anything listed as a "SuperMax" model with Miken with have a 1 oz. end load. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will feel slightly heavier in the 28 oz. weight than that Triad 3 Maxload.
Mac
I am 6',160 lbs and I am a leadoff hitter with a lot of speed. Right now I use a DeMarini F5 double wall 34/27, but I am hoping to increase my power. Would this bat at 26 or 27 oz be a good fit? Should I be looking at a more balanced bat like the DeMarini? Dan
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is an excellent bat for increasing a players power. The stiff one-piece design combined with the full ounce end load are two key features for increasing a players power. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 27 oz option. The DeMarini F5 is a two-piece hybrid design with a slight end load, so the adjustment to the Izzy will not be a problem.
Jason
Is this bat better than the Miken DC41? hollywood
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) and the Miken DC 41 would both be great bats. Both are very high performing for Slow Pitch. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) would be the more popular choice.
Brandon
Is this bat better than the Ultra 2? Is it legal for senior softball that allows the Ultra 2? Stan
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) adheres to USSSA standards which are stricter than Senior Softball restrictions. The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) will have thinner barrel walls and better performance but will not be as durable as the Izzy. The Izzy would be allowed in most Senior Leagues as it does not offer an advantage over Senior bats.
Patrick
I am 5'9" and 180 lbs. I have pretty good upper body strength and very quick bat speed. I would like to generate more power and was wondering what size and weight might be my best option? Csmith
At your size, the 27 oz. 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) would be the ideal choice for you. The SuperMax end loaded feel will help you acquire the power you desire.
Brandon
Can you get this bat balanced and not end loaded? hollywood
Yes, the 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYBU) is the model you'd want.
John H
What is the hottest most balanced bat? hollywood
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will not be balanced. It will feel more barrel heavy and end loaded. The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYBU) would be a much better option.
Brandon
Is it ASA or ISF approved? How is it loaded? Slugger
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) is not approved for ASA or ISF. It is only approved for USSSA, NSA, and ISA play. The Izzy Psycho will feature a 1 oz. end load.
Kelby
Does this bat require a break in? Gordon
Yes, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) will have a better performance after a short break in period of about 150 swings off of a tee or soft toss.

I am the power hitter on my team and I have been swinging a Stadium 27 oz for the last 3 years. I'm 6'2" and 190. Would the Izzy Psycho have the same feel or would it have more of a end load? aj
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will have an end-load that feels much heavier than the end-load on the 2014 DeMarini Stadium CL22 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXST2-V14).
Ben
I am 6'4", 270 lbs. I am typically the clean up hitter. I am using a 28 oz bat now, but still feel that I sometimes am swinging too fast. I'm afraid a 30 oz bat would cause me to lose power. Should I stay with a 28 oz or move to the heavier 30 oz? long ball
If you have been currently using the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) in the 28 ounce model and have been having success, I would continue to use it instead of switching to the 30 ounce model. However, if you have not been connecting successfully at all due to the bat feeling light, I would recommend a jump to the 30 ounce model.
Ben
I currently hit (and love) a Miken MV-1 26oz. Would this be a good bat to move to? CT
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will be the most similar model that we carry to the Miken MV-1 Supermax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPMVMU). Both bats feature 14.5 inch barrel length as well as a Super-Max Endload (1 oz.) Both bats will feature high-grade composites as well as vibration transfers through the handle.
Joe
I am 6' 3" and 250 lbs. I have the 2015 ASA balanced Psycho in a 30 oz. Would you recommend me getting the 30 oz. or the 28 oz. IZZY Psycho Supermax. The balanced version seems very light and I was wondering if the Psycho Supermax would be extremely heavy. Dimitri
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) would be a great choice. The 28 oz. would work well with the end loaded swing feel. The 30 oz. would not be out of the question, but would definitely feel heavier than your previous bat.
Brandon
Will this bat hold up to .44 cor 375 comp balls? Does it hold up in cold weather? I currently swing the red and blue Jeff Hall 120 Mayhem but trying to replace. Huskey
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will hit the .52 cor ball much better. It will also hold up better versus the .52 cor balls. These bats will not perform up to their highest standards in the colder weather. The .44 cor ball would be better versus some of the older bats from 2012 and prior. The older Easton Salvo's and Worth Mutant 454's are great against the .44 cor balls.
Brandon
I just found out that my Izzy Psycho 2015 is not in great shape. Is there any way you have any 30 oz. left in stock? Clam 56
Unfortunately, it looks like we are currently out of stock in the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) in that 34" 30 oz. model.
Joe
Does the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho Supermax SPSYMU 30 oz and the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut 30 oz feel the same weight? I have the 30 oz DeMarini Juggernaut and I was wondering will it feel the same as a 30 oz Psycho or a little more. D.Mack
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) has a full ounce end load and will feel overall heavier than the .5 ounce end load on the Juggernaut. They will both weigh in on a scale at 30 oz, but the increase in end load on the Psycho will make it feel heavier overall.
Jason
This is my first time buying a bat! I'm about 5'6'' and 110 lbs. I used a few end load bats last year (z2000, z3000) and I absolutely LOVED them, but I'm looking for a single wall, which is why I am interested in the psycho. I was wondering what weight I should get! kelcy
For a player of your size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) in a 34" 26 oz. model. The SuperMax end-load on the Psycho is noticeably heavier than the Z-3000.
Joe
Which bats are good for the .44 COR 375 Compression balls? chippa
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is approved for USSSA play, which uses the Classic M and Classic M Plus balls. The .44 COR 375 Compression balls are best hit with models such as the Easton Synergy CNT Flex Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SCN8) which we no longer have in stock. You could also take a look at older ASA DeMarini J2 models or older Worth 454 ASA models as well.
Joe
I'm 6'2" and 250 playing in an over-50 league. They've changed the balls to .52 cor 275 comp balls. Is this a good bat (or is there a better one) for me? It has to be NSA 2012 certified. gary
I would look into a bat that is ASA and NSA certified. Here are a few recommendations: Easton LX.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14LX) http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-lx-0-slow-pitch-softball-bat--sp14lx/20648, 2016 Louisville Slugger Z-4000 Balanced ASA/USSSA Slow pitch Softball Bat (SBZ416A-B) http://www.justbats.com/product/2016-louisville-slugger-z-4000-balanced-asa-usssa-slow-pitch-softball-bat--sbz416a-b/22179/, 2016 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (ULTALL) http://www.justbats.com/product/2016-miken-ultra-750x-maxload-asa-usssa-slow-pitch-softball-bat--ultall/22024/. I hope this helps!
Tom
I'm 56 yrs old and played major open years ago. I just started back in fall 2014. I busted my Miken Ultra last night. It had less than 500 BP and all. I'm looking for a good bat that will last. Mitch4fsu
We have had nothing but great reviews on the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU). It is definitely one of the most popular slow pitch softball bats.
Allison
I am 5 foot 8 and weigh 210 pounds and am completely fit. Every at bat I hit the fence and hit over it rarely. What size bat would you recommend with my height and weight? LT
It would ultimately come down to your personal preference for feel. But if you are a stronger player, you may want to go with a heavier model to allow for more mass to act on the ball so I would maybe recommend going with a 28 ounce model of the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU).
Patrick
Would this be a good bat for a 44 core 400 compression? Crump
I am not familiar with that type of ball. Most .44 core balls that are used will have a 375 compression rating and they are the old ASA certified balls. There are not any bats currently in production that are specifically designed to hit these balls as most softball regulating bodies have started using softer balls for safety reasons. The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is a USSSA model which will be best suited for Classic M or Classic M+ models.
Patrick
I am a 5'10" and 145 lb. girl. I currently use a 27 oz. Synergy right now. What size would you recommend for me in the SuperMax? Lorney
For a player of your size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) in a 34" 26 oz. model. The Psycho does feature a 2.5 inch longer barrel as well as a more significant end loaded swing weight.
Joe
I have a couple Milken bats that don't have ASA thumb print sticker on them. Is there a way to get them certified? chuck
Unfortunately, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is not ASA approved. If the bat does not have the ASA certification stamp it means it is not ASA approved.
Frankie
I love my 10 year old Mizuno Spitfire bat that is 28 ounces. I think this bat is end-loaded, and I have a slower swing. I am female, 5 foot 7 and weigh 125 pounds. I hit opposite field and usually can hit over the infielders for singles and doubles. Would this end-loaded bat be the right bat for me at 28 ounce? Nina
Given that the restrictions on that Mizuno Spitfire would have been a different level at the point that bat was made, most bats on the market today may have a more restricted performance level. The end-loaded feel of the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) would generally be more attractive to a power hitter or stronger hitting player due to the added swing weight.
Patrick
Does this bat have the 2012 NSA stamp on it? matt
Yes, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) has the 2012 NSA stamp.
Chinyere
Even if 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho Supermax has the 2012 stamp, is it still good for use in 2015 leagues? liss
Yes, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) should be legal for play within USSSA, NSA and ISA certified leagues during the 2015 year.
Ben
Is this bat still approved for USSSA play in 2016? slapper
Yes, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is still approved for USSSA play in 2016. As long as it has the USSSA stamp it will be approved.
Cooper
How will this bat perform with a .40/325 ball? What ball brand and/or type would be best for this bat? alberto
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) would be best used with a .52/300 ball. You could use the .40 COR, but the ball won't have as much flex to it.
Chinyere
Is this bat single wall? Evanbee
The 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is not a single wall design.
Frankie
Which Miken softball bat is best fit for 44 core 325 compression balls? Lets be real, and don't sell me what you like. M&M
None of the currently produced Miken line will be ideal in terms of durability with the .44 core 325 compression ball, as that ball is not the newest sanctioned model and the new bats that are produced like the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) are designed to be up to date with current rules. The .44 core balls are much harder than the more current .52 core balls and can cause the bats to break easily.
Patrick
Is it NSA stamped? jeff
Yes, this 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will carry the NSA stamp and be approved for play in NSA leagues.
Ben
What is the difference between model SPSYMU and IZZY2M? Denny33
The difference between the 2016 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: IZZY2M and the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is going to be the paint scheme. Besides that, these two bats are constructed the same.
Cameron
Is this bat ASA approved? thomas
This Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will not be ASA approved.
Ben
What is the difference between this Izzy Psycho (SPSYMU) and Geno Buck SuperMax ASA (MNATMA)? avradrb
The biggest difference between this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) and the Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) will be the USSSA certification on this Izzy Psycho and the ASA certification on the Geno Buck model.
Ben
Is this bat a two piece composite bat? softballking
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) is a one piece composite bat.
Carter
What year is this Miken Psycho that you are selling for $209? Is the bat pictured the bat that is being sold? Will it still be good to use in 2017? Tmart518
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU, that is currently listed, had a release date of 11/2013. The bat that is being sold is the one depicted in the photos and will still be good for use this year and next.
Cameron
USSSA approved? Also ASA? ash
This model is approved for USSSA, NSA, and ISA play. It is not approved for ASA.
Kyle J.
I am a 34-year-old female weighing 165, and 5'7". I am currently a swinging an end-loaded bat (26 oz.) and having trouble with my bat speed. I am constantly hitting the ball on the hands of the bat and I have tried everything to adjust. I'm thinking I need to switch to a more balanced bat. Would this bat be a bat you would recommend for me? Or do you have another suggestion of bat you could recommend? And weight, 26 oz.? Brit
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a one-piece composite bat that features a full ounce end-load swing weight design. For someone currently using a 26 ounce end-loaded bat and having difficulty getting the barrel head through the zone this particular bat would not be a good fit. If needing a USSSA slow pitch bat from Miken that will be balanced and in 26 ounces then it would be best to look into the following: 2016 Miken IZZY PSYCHO Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SYKOBU.
Cameron
What type of ball is recommended when using this bat? joe
For the best combination of performance and durability, I would suggest using the 40 COR/325 Comp ball -or- the 52 COR/275 Comp ball with this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU).
Ben
I play Mush Ball (16' softball) in Chicago. Do you recommend I purchase this bat for this type of ball? RobRod
Typically, a bat with a stiff design and end load are going to be the best options for the mush ball. The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU features that stiff design and end loaded swing weight, which makes it a good option.
Jason
Does the 26 oz feel like a 27 oz because of the end load? I'm 5'9, 165 and have average bat speed. Would I be risking power if I ordered the 26 oz? AreRod
Yes, the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is going to feel about an ounce or an ounce and a half heavier then what it is listed as because of the end load.
Sean
I'm 5'9", 170 lbs. Looking for a power bat. What size should I buy? Bambino
This Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will certainly be considered a power bat with its SuperMax end-load. I would recommend the 27 oz or 28 oz weight to maximize the impact of the end-load.
Ben
Can you buy this bat balanced instead of end loaded? Eric L Weber
You cannot get this specific design in the balanced version unfortunately. However, you can get the 2017 Miken PSYCHO Balanced USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MPSY1U) in the balanced version. It is composite rather than aluminum like this Psycho through.
Carter
I think I'm in a league that requires ASA certification. Will this bat work? babe
This Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) does not have ASA certification and will probably not be allowed for play if having the ASA stamp is absolutely required.
Ben
I usually use a balanced composite bat in a 26 or 27 ounce. I was wandering what ounce would I want to purchase with this end load. I am 5 ft 9 and weigh 180 and pretty much a small ball hitter Troutmaster8
The weight is more of a personal preference for each individual hitter with the Miken Izzy Psycho so i would recommend staying around that 26 or 27 ounces. Although many small ball hitters have more success with more balanced bats.
Max
What year model is this? Johnny Baseball
This Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) was first carried at JustBats in the fall of 2013. It would probably be called the 2014 edition.
Ben
How old are all these reviews? Seems like a fantastic bat - with (by far) the most reviews and the highest rating. I just read about the Miken DC-41 MDC41U Supermax where JustBats rated it the best bat for 2017. I'm curious which of these 2 bats might be rated best for power in a USSSA league? I'm an older, big, guy wanting to hit a few more home runs before my playing days end. Jpilk99
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a model that Miken has had out for awhile now. As for the reviews, it is hard to say when the first one and last one came in. This bat, as well as the 2017 Miken DC-41 SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MDC41U, are great bats to consider if you are seeking to add some power to your game. Both feature the one ounce end load which can help add additional distance and power to a swing when the ball is squared up correctly. As for which one might produce more power, the one-piece design of the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU should give the bat a slight edge over the two-piece 2017 Miken DC-41 SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MDC41U; this is due to the fact that the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU will not flex as much on impact.
Cameron
I have a KF30 Ultramax (FILBMU). How much better is this Izzy Psycho bat compared to that one? Briguy
Unfortunately, I have not been able to compare this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) and the 2017 Miken PSYCHO Maxload USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MPSY2U) side-by-side. Overall, if you are more partial to the one-piece design and full 1 oz end-load, my suggestion would be for this Izzy Psycho. The 2017 PSYCHO (MPSY2U) will be a two-piece bat and only have a half ounce end-load.
Ben
Is it end-loaded or balanced? I'm looking for a bat that is end-loaded got any suggestions? bray
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is going to be SuperMax End-Loaded which is a full ounce End-Load and if you are looking for an End-Loaded option this would be a great one for you.
Max
Love this bat! So I was wondering what 2017 USSSA Miken bat would be most like this SPSYMU? Buchanan
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is going to be the last One- Piece slow pitch bat option for Miken. The closest to this would be 2017 Miken DC-41 SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MDC41U because of the full ounce End Load.
Max
I tried teammates' SPU2P and I love this bat but cannot find anything else close to that model. What other model comes close? Jimbo
The closest model we would have to the Miken Ultra II USA Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPU2P is the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 as the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is not a Senior Slow Pitch bat.
Cameron
I am looking to replace my original Freak that finally cracked. Would this be the closest? It was a one piece. sassy
The Freak you had previously was most likely a Maxload, so the 2018 Miken Psycho Maxload USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MP1PCU may be the closest option. However, if the Freak you had was a SuperMax, then this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU would be the closest model.
Logan
What are the main differences between a two-piece and a one-piece bat? Also, is this bat approved for use in USSSA leagues for 2018? Matt
Typically, two-piece bats cut down on vibration and offer more flex than one-piece options. This Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU), which has a one-piece design, will feature USSSA, NSA and ISA certifications.
Taylor
Our league is restricted to USSSA Classic M balls only. Is this bat a good choice for those balls? Larry
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU would work well for the USSSA Classic M balls.
Cameron
Would this be considered a composite bat or not? stupid cowboy
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU will be considered a composite bat.
Max
I'm starting to play softball slowpitch. My weight is 210 pounds and my height is 5 feet and 11 inches. What bat is ideal for me? mario mayol
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a great bat to consider for a USSSA league. The full one ounce end-load should do you well based on your height and weight. Per your height and weight, would recommend getting this bat in a 28 ounce model.
Cameron
I thought this bat was discontinued, can this still be purchased? e
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU essentially no longer features the "Jeremy Isenhower Signature." The newer cosmetic design is the same bat without Isenhower's name associated with it.
Cameron
Is this bat certified in ASA softball leagues? johnnny
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is not certified for ASA leagues. The best alternative to this bat would be the 2018 Miken Rev-Ex Maxload ASA / USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: M1PALL.
Cameron
Does it have the NSA 2012 stamp? jase
Yes, this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU) will have the NSA 2012 stamp on it.
Ben
Is this bat composite or aluminum? Saw a question below that lead me to believe it is aluminum but the bat is under the composite category and just want to be sure. e
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a one-piece all composite model that features a full ounce end-load.
Cameron
I just bought this model, but it doesn't have the Izzy signature that should be written just before the word "Psycho." I bought this bat the other day cause I used my friend's version. Is it the same bat? Just some had signatures and some didn't. Michael
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU will no longer feature the player's signature as he is not currently being sponsored by Miken on this model any longer. It is the same bat though.
Cameron
What weight do you recommend if I am 6' and weigh 191 pounds? Frank Romo
Bat weight is going to be player-specific, and not necessarily a simple equation like the length typically is. However, generally speaking, I would say either 27oz or 28oz for the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU would be a great option.
Tyler
What is the BPF? Mike Smolark
Slowpitch bats for USSSA are 1.20 BPF.
Kyle J.
I just bought this bat and based on the pictures, I was expecting Jeremy's signature. Is there a difference from the bat pictured and Jeremy's signature bat? Bowie Schluter
There is nothing different about the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU minus no longer being endorsed by Jeremy and featuring his signature.
Cameron
Is this a good bat to use for .52 core softball ball? Virginia
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU should perform well and hold up against the .52 core softball.
Cameron
Are you gonna get this bat in 30 oz in the next few days? Pedro
We will be getting more of the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU in stock in the 30 oz, however, this normally takes a couple weeks.
Tori
I'm 5'7" and 190 pounds. I hit for power. Also, I usually prefer swinging a 30 oz bat because I'm a pull hitter. I'm between this bat or the Miken Rev-Ex 2019 max loaded bat. Which bat would be better for me? PRshooter
If you like the full 1 ounce end-load, I would recommend going with this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYMU). The Rev-Ex will only have a 0.5 ounce end-load. In order to prevent yourself from pulling too many balls, I think the selection of bat would be this Izzy Psycho.
Ben
So I am just starting to play, I know nothing about softball but trying to learn. Can this bat help beginners? Soira
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a good bat to use in a USSSA league by either beginners or experienced players. The full ounce end-load makes it a great bat for someone who is more of a power type hitter.
Cameron
How does it fair with a Clincher ball? ALEX
With one piece alloy softball bats becoming less and less common, the stiff, one piece design of the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU would be great for use with a clincher ball.
Logan
Can I use in my tampa bay club sport league? Eric Mader
According to the rules for your league which can be found at http://www.tampabayclubsport.com/page/Rules, all bats must have the ASA certification stamp, so USSSA bats will not be allowed.
Kyle
What is the barrel length of this bat? JOE
This bat has a 14.5" barrel length.
Kyle
Is this bat 1.21 bpf? Gary ayers
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a 1.20 BPF
Jack
is this a 1.20 or 1.21 denise corso
The Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU is a 1.20 bpf.
Jack
Is this the 2019 bat and what is the price? Judy Paulson
Yes this Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU was produced in 2019. This model has been discontinued and is no longer available on our website.
Ryan
Which 2020 Miken bat replaced this Izzy? I'm specifically looking for a 1 piece bat that is as hot as this one. Why discontinue this one? Ben
Bats are discontinued from one year to the next for nothing more than the manufacturers wanting to come out with new models from year to year. Most of the time, the "newer" bat is the same as the previous year's model but with a different cosmetic design. As for the bat that replaced the Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SPSYMU, the best option currently on the market would be the Miken Rev-Ex; this is the only one-piece composite bat from Miken currently on the market that has the USSSA certification.
