Hot out of the wrapper Milwaukee bomber player

Pros: Went from the psycho supermax to the M-Nation. The M is hotter out of the wrapper and has a better over all feel.

Cons: Like any max load there is some lag through the swing. Nothing that

Feels Great!! Mike player

Pros: This bat has a great feel! You can definitely feel the SuperMax weighting which seems to help with pop.

Cons: I have about 200 swings on it so far and it still seems a little stiff, but that's as expected from Miken...they all seem to have a bit longer break-in period.

2015 Geno Buck defos player

Pros: Bought an ASA Psycho Supermax just a couple of weeks before I bought the Geno Buck, both 30 oz. This bat is definitely stiffer than the Psycho. I really liked the feel of this bat right from the start although the distance just wasn't equal to the Psycho for quite a while. I put about 1000 hits, mostly off a tee or self toss, on the Geno Buck before it opened up. Using .44/375 balls for about 100 hits really helped. Otherwise it was used .52/300s. Now it feels really good on contact, and the ball is flying very well off it. I'm not a homerun hitter, nor are my teammates who use it, so no 400' hits. A teammate hit about 3' from the top of a 10' fence at 300 ft last week. Easily the longest hit he's ever had. I'd buy another one. Just be patient and don't give up on breaking it in.

Cons: About 1000 hits to break in.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MNATMA? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this bat an end-loaded model? How well does it work with 44 core 375 compression softballs? DAWG
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck Maxload ASA (MNATMA) does feature an end-loaded feel. It is a maxload bat that will have a full ounce end loaded feel. It features the new ASA stamp meaning that it is more meant to be used with softer .52 core 300 compression balls. The older 44 core balls would eventually cause some undo damage to the bat because they are harder than what the bat is intended to hit.
Patrick
Would this bat work well with the .44 COR balls? If not, what Miken would you recommend? miguel
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck Maxload ASA (MNATMA) Slow Pitch Softball Bat has the new ASA stamp is best suited for use with the .52 COR balls. The new ASA stamps hit the .44 COR balls very well, but could have durability issues very early on. All Miken bats we currently have are stamped with the new ASA stamp and are better with the .52 COR balls.
Jason
The reviews mention the bat is hot right out of the wrapper. Does this mean this bat doesn't require any break-in? Or is it broken in before shipping? tdawg
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck Maxload ASA (MNATMA) will not require any period of break-in. This bat is created hot out of the wrapper from Miken. The materials used in production make this possible. The bat will have zero use and be brand new when you receive it.
Brandon
How does this bat compare to the 2015 Miken Psycho SuperMax ASA? Which would you recommended for a contact hitter? DiegoG
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck Maxload ASA: (MNATMA) and the 2015 Miken Psycho SuperMax ASA (SPSYMA) will both be one-piece composite designs. Both of these models will have a slight end-load and will provide a stiff feel. The 2015 Miken Psycho SuperMax ASA: (SPSYMA) will incorporate exclusive 750X HPI to help improve durability. This feature might make this model a little bit better for a contact hitter. However, these models are going to be extremely similar.
Merritt
What is the difference between the 2014 and 2015 models? JohnP
This is the first year that 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck Maxload ASA: MNATMA Slow Pitch Softball Bat has been produced.
Damon
I am 5'8" 190 lbs. I swing with decent bat speed. What weight do you guys recommend I use for this bat? Reggie
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) has a full ounce end load and it is typically best to drop down and ounce with a big end load. Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 27 oz model.
Jason
How does it hit the 52 core 300 compression ball? softball dad
Newer ASA stamped bats like the 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) are specifically designed to be used with the new 52 core ball.
Patrick
Is this bat recommended for use with Clinchers (mushballs)? DeeCee
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) is designed to hit a conventional softball that has a .52 COR and a compression rating of 300. As a Clincher-specific bat is not currently being produced, we recommend choosing as heavy of a bat as you can handle that also has a stiff flex. The Clincher softballs themselves don't provide much performance at contact, so you really do need to create as much momentum as possible in your swing. This M Nation model provides both that heavy feel, with the end loaded swing weight, and a stiff flex, with it's one-piece design.
Mac
I am 75, 5' 10", and 170 pounds. Would this be a good bat for me? I am not a good hitter. rock
The 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) features a full ounce end load. An end loaded bat is typically better for a power hitter, as this design is harder to control and swing quickly. I may recommend a balanced bat to ensure you can achieve the highest swing speed possible, but it ultimately depends on what kind of design you're comfortable using. It doesn't appear that we have them in stock, but the Miken Psycho (SPSYBA) and Miken Ultra 750X (UL75BA) would be some solid choices from this manufacturer.
Mac
I am not sure whether to get the M Nation or the Triad. I swing for power. I swung the Triad and love it but not sure about the reliability of it. oldman44
Both the 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) and the Miken Triad Blackout Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SSBTRI) are high performing models. The Triad is a Senior Softball bat so it has thinner barrel walls. This means they will have less durability but hotter overall performance. The M Nation would have better durability but not as hot of performance. The preference would come down to what you are looking for.
Patrick
What is the best Miken bat for hitting the .44 core balls? double L
Any bats featuring the newer ASA stamp like the 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) are going to be made to perform with the newer ASA .52 core 300 compression ball. Older ASA stamps (2004) are the ones that are intended for use with the .44 core ball. None of the newer high end models are intended to be used with the .44 core balls. While they will be able to hit them well, the harder .44 core balls will do more damage to the newer bats than what you would want and would compromise the durability of the product.
Patrick
I am a power hitter and wanted to know which bat would give me more distance. I'm between this bat and the Psycho SuperMax ASA. A contact hitter asked the same question and was recommended the Psycho. David P.
Both bats would fit a power hitter, or someone who likes a heavier feel, very well. This 2015 Miken M Nation Geno Buck SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MNATMA) may fit a power hitter a little better with the stiffer flex in its handle. Both bats are high end models and end loaded, so I don't think you can go wrong with either.
