The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA Slow Pitch) bat is made to hit the softer .52 core balls. It will still hit the .44 core ball exceptionally well. It's just that over the lifespan of the bat you may see increased denting, cracking, or even breaking versus the harder ball.

This SPSYBA will feel much more balanced and easier to swing than the Freak Maxload. You bat speeds will also be quicker using the new 2015 Psycho Balanced ASA.

Would you say this bat would be a better pick up if I had a choice between this and a 2004 Miken Freak Plus? I've never swung a newer model ASA bat. But I've heard the Freak does not hit the .52 core ball well. MF3
