Description

Designed for performance and durability, the Rocketech is THE bat to own if you're a softball enthusiast. Anderson's design and use of high performance materials deliver superior performance that will maintain a solid feel throughout the bat's life. This is due in part to the all-metal, multi-wall alloy used on the Rocketech. The P-9000 Aerospace Alloy used to construct the Rocketech isn't any ordinary alloy. It is one of the most responsive alloys on the field. Plus, its durability has been tested time and time again. With an ultra-thin whip handle, SG-I Sport Grip, and weldless ergonomic knob, the Rocketech feels better in your hands than any bat ever has.

The Rocketech has made a name for itself in the fastpitch market as one of the most powerful multi-wall alloy bat to hit the field. But with the Anderson Rocketech -12 Youth Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPY16ROC, you get a design that's specifically crafted for the needs of the typical Youth fastpitch player. Anderson has forgone the multi-wall barrel and chosen to go with a single wall barrel construction. With that, you not only get top-end performance, but by removing that excess material, you're left with an ultra-light -12 length to weight ratio that is proven to improve swing speed and bat control in younger players.

The Anderson Rocketech -12 Youth Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPY16ROC features a 2 1/4 inch barrel diameter, -12 length to weight ratio, and is Approved for Play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. This will be the first year our daughter is playing pitch softball. Would this be a good starter bat? She enjoys the game and spent many years in machine/coach pitch. Mandy
This would be a great bat for someone starting pitch softball. We recommend the lighter bats, when just starting out and this would be great, as it is a -12.

My 8 year old daughter is 52" tall, 52 lbs, presently using an older bat at 28"/16 oz. I was wondering if there is a noticeable difference between this Rocketech & the Easton FS3 CXN ZERO Fastpitch bat? steve
This 2016 Anderson Rocketech -12 Youth Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPY16ROC) will be a single-piece, all-alloy bat with a balanced swing weight. The 2016 Easton FS3 CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP16S312) will be different as it is a two-piece, all-composite bat with a balanced swing weight. You'll see that both bats will have a -12 length-to-weight ratio. I would recommend getting a model based upon the material you prefer the most.

Is this bat hot? jimmytide

What is the drop of this bat? I'm looking for last year's model in a 30" length with a drop 9. Gus Peterson
The 2016 Anderson Rocketech -12 Youth Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPY16ROC has a -12 length to weight ratio. The Anderson RockeTech 2.0 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP15ROC is a 2015 model that is available in a 30" size and has a -9 length to weight ratio.
Angelique
I'm looking for a new bat for my almost 8 yo. She's 4'3" and around 55 lbs. The current bat she is using is a bat from Walmart. Probably around $20. I keep hearing the more expensive bats are better because of the quality of the material (aluminum). Would this bat be better than the Worth bat from Walmart? She's currently using a 28"- 18 oz bat. Tina
The price of the bat does not necessarily paint an accurate picture as to which bat is better. Some bats might be closeout bats/previous years models and are thus discounted. With some bats one can find different price points due to the quality of the alloy being used. Some lower grades of alloy will allow the bat to be cheaper but sometimes this alloy does not hold up well. Would certainly recommend looking into reviews before potentially purchasing a bat to make sure there are no widespread durability issues. The 2016 Anderson Rocketech -12 Youth Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPY16ROC would be a good bat to consider and even features a 30 day guarantee that allows the customer to use the bat and, if not satisfied, sending it back for an exchange or refund of their purchase price.

(1) Will this bat work for a 12U team? (2) How long would my daughter be able to use this bat (10 years old currently)? janell
(1) This 2016 Anderson Rocketech -12 Youth Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPY16ROC) should fine for use by a 12 year old team as long as you got a length and weight that would function for use by a large portion of the team. (2) The length of time that your daughter could use this bat would be dependent upon her current size and the size of bat purchased for her. For most 10 year olds we would suggest a 30" bat. We do have that 30" size, but not a 31" size. The 31" size would probably give her a bat she could use the longest.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
