Combat portent G4 Brad Wentzel parent
Pros: Great balance, pop- my 10 year old son just moved up from a 29 -12 to 30 inch bat. Had a Combat pure gear before (as well as Demarini Vexxum). When moving up we initially started working with a 30 -10 xl1, which he swung and hit well, but i felt the jump to -10 end loaded was too much so wanted something more balanced. My son really wanted a Mako due to popularity, but liked his last Combat. I convinced him to give the G4 (the $99 shipped price tag didnt hurt) a try and no regrets at all so far. He is swinging this bat much better, and despite not being end loaded, is not losing any distance or speed on the balls coming off the bat. He wouldnt trade it for a Mako now, despite that being the popular model in little leagues. I am a coach of 9 years at all levels in little league and have seen tons of bats. Around my parts it is 99% eastons, and when folks see him hit with the Combat they are very interested in hearing more about them. Combats are the most underrated bats out there.

Great bat CDS parent
Pros: Bought this bat for my 7 year old in his first year of machine pitch. Originally purchased the 27/15 but didnt realize the machine would be as inaccurate as it was so had to get the 28/16 version as well.. My son loves this bat and i believe its as good as any $300 bat out there.
Cons: there is some vibration off the handle and the end, but thats to be expected

Portent G4 Parent parent
Pros: Both bats are very good. Allows him to have the right swing weight. He says the bat feels great and has Great POP. So far so good. I gave 5 stars on the durability, but we have not had the bat for over a month yet. Time will tell. So far so good. Shipping was quick and they were packaged great.
