Description

New for Much more than a new number, the new DeMarini CF8 is set to impress! The CF8 will utilize DeMarini's new Paradox Plus+ Composite material in the barrel and handle that increases the strength of the bat, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot that helps to deliver consistently more-powerful swings! New to this year's model, the D-Fusion 2.0 handle technology eliminates vibration even more efficiently than the previous model on off-center hits. By reducing these vibrations, the player's hands are protected against sting and energy is redirected back into the barrel on contact for a solid feel and more power! The D-Fusion 2.0 handle also opens up a better sound on all hits across the barrel. The CF8 features DeMarini's Stacked Double Wall Construction that optimizes the trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for the highest performance fastpitch regulations will allow! The CF8 WTDXCFP is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. Backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! Free Shipping!

Went back to what works! Softball Dad parent

Pros: Great pop right out of the wrapper. My daughter went from a CF5 to a Mako last Spring because she out grew the CF5. Big mistake! Went back to DeMarini this Sping with the CF8. Just played first tournament this weekend and couldn't be happier! CF8 -10 had great pop right away in 40 deg temps! Can't wait until weather warms up and she gets a few weeks worth of hits to get the CF8 broken in! Never leaving Demarini again!

Cons: None so far.

DeMarini CF8 Troy parent

Pros: Love the bat. My daughter dominated the tourney. Everyone wanted her bat. Great pop and a super comfortable grip. She just missed two home runs on Saturday, getting a triple and a double respectively and then on Sunday with a 3-2 count she blasted one over the fence in right center. Gone as soon as she hit it! Probably went 225-235ft. Not bad for a 13yr old. She's not a giant kid like some of these gals you see either. Just a kid with a great bat and incredible bat speed. I hope this bat is more durable then the CF 6.

Buy this bat! Johnson player

Pros: I'm in high school, just got the bat and I never used this bat before my first game. My first at bat in my first game I cranked it over the fence. It's a lot of money for a bat but it's definitely worth it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new bat. The Demarini's never fail to amaze me, but this one is the best I've ever gotten. Looking forward to some more great hits this season!

Cons: The price. But worth it! :)

A little Different Ken parent

Pros: Great Pop, however if you are moving from a CF6 or a CF7, it may feel a little different. I read that the composite is a little different than the 6 and 7 but no less lethal. After my daughter finally hit a few out in BP with it, then she started trusting it instead of going back to her trusty CF6 or CF7.

Cons: None at all

Love this bat! S.A. parent

Pros: My daughter received the CF8 yesterday, ran home after school to pick it up before her varsity game. Her first at bat she hit it over the fence! She went 3 for 4 yesterday, all great hits. This bat has pop! She has only ever used Easton, but is now loving her new DeMarini.

Cons: A little spendy, but it if lasts two seasons I am fine with the price.

Great Bat happy softball dad parent

Pros: I have bought my daughter the cf5,6,7 and now the cf8. In my opinion of my daughter hit. This might be the best bat so far dont get me wrong we have no complaints she used the cf6 more than the cf7 but since she has got the cf8 i see harder hit balls. She said it just feels right so i take her word for it because she is the person that has to stand in the box.

CF8 Durability Pete parent

Pros: My daughter loved the way it felt and hit very well with it.

Cons: My daughter is a 12u player on a very highly skilled team. She has owned many bats including a CF4, CF5, CF6 and just recently we bought the CF8 -11. That bat along with several of her team mate's -11 bats cracked within weeks of getting them. One bat was purchased from DeMarini at a tournament and it cracked about an hour later. Demarini was very good about replacing our bat under warranty. We changed to a -10 to hopefully have a little bit stronger bat. Unfortunately, the -10 cracked the first weekend it was used. Not sure what we are going to do now.

Now Hit With Confidence Jessica player

Pros: The CF8 is a composite bat that has "the strength of aluminum and the performance of wood" (shown in advertisement). This material is made to send the ball exploding off this bat. When you hit the ball the sound is a "pop" which makes you feel great about every hit and you feel like a pro every time. As soon as I got this bat I hit rockets to centerfield. Therefore it doesn't take long to break this bat in. I have not had any problems with the durability. I have two of the DeMarini bats, the CF8 and the CF5. The CF5 was my first composite bat. I instantly fell in love with this bat because of the feeling and the pop. Sadly this bat became too small for me so I purchased the Louisville Slugger LXT (1st one) but I found the DeMarini lets me crush in confidence. The Louisville has good sound but the bat does not let the ball explode off the bat. The CF8 Demarini has a "sweet spot that extends further along the barrel than ever" (DeMarini website) making the ball pop off this bat,

Cons: my cons are the same with any other composite bat.

Ehh M player

Pros: It's a pretty bat..

Cons: I'm 17 and have played varsity since freshman year and on travel teams since 10u. I have had DeMarini for a while. I had the CF5 which I hit 5 home runs with my freshman year. I got the CF8 almost a year ago and it just is not what I was hoping for. I wanted to love it and I was so excited to get it. I don't know if I just got a defective bat or it is actually not a good one, but there is no pop and no matter how hard I swing, it just is not a great hit. I have hit it to the fence a few times, but for the type of hitter I am, it shouldn't be that way. I have been using my friend's xeno more and more, and the amount of pop on that completely trumps the CF8. I was so looking forward to this bat but it just isn't the one for the upper level softball players.

Community bat Travis coach

Pros: The manager of our team bought the CF8 for his daughter and about 70% of our girls use it. We have seen a HUGE improvement overall since they began swinging this bat. It literally turns average hitters into power hitters. By far the most "pop" I have ever seen from a bat since I began coaching and the confidence level of our team has sky rocketed!!! Absolutely the best bat on the market for fastpitch softball!!

Cons: Absolutely none!

Pros: Great pop. My daughter has crushed the ball since getting the bat.

Cons: Within a month she has cracked one and shattered the replacement 3 weeks later. She. Is 10 yrs old and less than 100 pound. There has to be a design flaw with the bat. There should be no way for a 10u player to destroy a bat twice that cost you $350.

Pros: It first started out great my daughter loved how it felt and the balls were coming off the bat great. She's 12 and it cracked within the 3 months of us purchasing it, but they replaced it under warranty.

Cons: Waited two weeks to get the replacement and she was using it to hit off the tee at practice, that same day her first pitch in the game the end popped out and landed at 1st base. Not pleased with the quality it is, never had issues with the other bats they have put out.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How specifically is this bat different than the CF7, and how does it perform compared to the CF7? frank
The performance of the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 CF7 will be relatively the same. Demarini made changes to the materials in the D-Fusion Handle, and the knob and end cap have changed as well.
Chinyere
Is it end loaded? Pam
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) features a two piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight.
Joe
What is the difference between this bat and the CF8 Sprite? The drop? TRecon
The only difference between the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP and the CF8 DXCFS is the drop weight. The DXCFP has a -10 length to weight ratio. The DXCFS has a -11 length to weight ratio.
Jason
My daughter will only bat with DeMarini and I am looking for a new bat. She is 5'7" and 178 lbs. What size bat should I be looking for? Tirvin
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 34" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP).
Jason
Is it approval for ASA? Richard alvarez
Yes, the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is approved for play in ASA Fastpitch Softball leagues.
Tom
My daughter has the CF6 31 inch 21 ounce -10. If I went up 2 ounces more on my daughter's bat, would it be to heavy? I want to get her the CF8 33 inch 23 ounce. Yvette
The size of the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) that you would want would depend on the player's height and weight. In general, a move of 2 ounces will be an adjustment but something the player can overcome with some work.
Patrick
I am 14 years old. I am 5 foot 5 and 1/2 inches tall, and weigh about 135 pounds. I am a contact hitter with power but not crazy power. I am torn between two bats. I also tend to be a dead pull hitter. Should I consider the CF8 -10 or the CF8 Insane. If so, which length? 32 or 33? melissa
Based on height and weight, we would recommend the 33 inch size of the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP). The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) would be a bit heavy and possibly be a detriment to your swing speed or form.
Patrick
Do you offer the 12 month manufacturer warranty as an online seller? Rob
Yes, the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) does come with the full 12 month manufacturer warranty.
Frankie
What is the diference between this bat and the DXCFF? mel
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is going to be a -10 and feature an evenly balanced swing weight. While the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFF)is going to be a -9 and have a slight end loaded feel to the bat.
Frankie
My daughter is 13 years old, 5'5 1/2" and 116 lbs. She is a contact hitter but not too powerful. Which CF8 would you suggest for her? She is currently hitting with a 31 19 oz. kafra
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP). The DXCFP is the best option for her, as it will provide her with a balanced swing weight and is an excellent option for a contact hitter. If you are worried about the extra weight, the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) would be a better option.
Jason
Is there a break in period on the CF8? chichi
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is listed as having "hot out of the wrapper" performance according to DeMarini. I do not believe that you should have to allow for a break-in period to see game-ready performance.
Ben
My daughter is 13 years old and is 5'7" and 150 lbs. What size bat would you recommend? johny
For a player of her size and age, our bat coach would recommend the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a 33" 23 oz. model.
Joe
My daughter is 5'4'' 14 years old playing slow pitch with the DeMarini CF7 33/22. She is a power hitter batting cleanup and clearing fences with her current bat. She has recently gained more strength and her bat speed has increased leading to more pop ups. Her league plays with a 12" Dudley SB12 ball. I was considering the CF8 34/24 since she is likely to still grow and get stronger. Do you have any suggestions for a power hitting teen other than the current bat she is using? Slugger Coach
Although the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is a great option, it is a balanced bat. Something end loaded like the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) will give her more power to put behind the ball.
Allison
What type of bat do you recommend for a 14 year old freshman? Chris
If your daughter is a contact hitter the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be a great bat for her. It is designed with an evenly balanced swing weight focused on the players swing speed.
Frankie
How does the CF6 compare to the CF8 drop -10? I was told they are basically the same bat with a different paint job. TJ
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) features upgraded composite materials as well as the new D-Fusion 2.0 to help reduce vibration and make the bat more comfortable to use.
Jake
Should I get the Mako Torq or this bat? I am 15 years old, 5 foot 3 and I weigh 130 pounds. I am a contact hitter with power, however, not that crazy power. I am currently hitting with a DeMarini CF6 WTDXCFS-14 33 inch 22 ounce drop 11. Is the CF8 also way different from the CF6? Louise
Either the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) or the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MKT) would both be nice options. If you have an issue with rolling your wrists over or rolling over on the ball, the TORQ model can help you to correct this issue. If that is not an issue for you, the CF8 may be the right choice. The CF8 features a more advanced composite compared to the CF6 and also has a more advanced handle for a better feel and better sting and vibration protection.
Patrick
How does this differ with the CF6? Kat
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) features the new Paradox Plus+ composite to provide a slightly larger sweet spot compared to the CF6. The CF8 also features the new D-Fusion 2.0 Handle technology which eliminates vibration even more efficiently than the CF6 on off-center hits. By reducing these vibrations, the player's hands are protected against sting and energy is redirected back into the barrel on contact for a solid feel and more power
John
I have heard the CF8 has a larger sweet spot than previous DeMarini models. What about compared to the 2016 Louisville LXT? What are the differences between these two bats? My daughter has a 2014 Mako now but we are looking at going with one of these two next. Angie in La
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) does have a good sized sweet spot as does the 2016 Louisville Slugger LXT Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPLX160). They are extremely similar by design so the preference would ultimately come down to brand or style preference. Both are great choices and top performers.
Patrick
Is this good in a men's softball league? rp354
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would not be used for slow pitch softball. It is much lighter than slow pitch models and it has different barrel walls to account for faster pitch speeds. Slow pitch bats would perform better at lower speeds that fastpitch models would.
Patrick
I am really struggling on which bat I want. I am deciding between the DXCFP and the DXCFH. I see there is not a very big difference, but I cannot decide. Carson
The only difference between the two is the color, and the DXCFH donates a portion of it's proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Outside of that, the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the DXCFH are the same bat.
Chinyere
Is there really a big difference between the CF7 and CF8? My daughter uses a 33 inch -10 CF6 now. If I go with the 8, should we move up or stay at the 33 inch -10? This D-fusion handle is the real difference, right? Is the sweet spot that much bigger? I can get better a better price on the 7. Ron
The major difference between the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be the upgraded handle technology for a better feel and better energy transfer in the swing. If the size she has is working well for her, I would stick with it.
Patrick
What is the difference between the balanced and the Insane bat? Kathy
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) will have the weight evenly distributed throughout the bat. The Insane will be considered an end loaded design. It will have more weight at the end of the barrel.
John
My daughter is moving to 12U this fall and is in need of a new stick. She just completed the spring season using the CF6 Sprite 30 inch 19 ounce. We would like to move to a drop 10. She is 4 foot 10 and weighs 87 pounds. I need your input on whether to go with a CF8 30 inch 20 ounce or 31 inch 21 ounce. DD
Based on height and weight and what she had been using, I would recommend a 31 inch 21 ounce size of the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP).
Patrick
My daughter is 14 years old and is 5 foot 7 1/2 and weighs about 185 pounds. She has unreal power and always hits the ball hard and deep or over the fence, easily 210-230 feet. She is using a CF5 33 inch 23 ounce. Would you recommend a 34 inch 24 ounce the CF8 -10 or the Insane? home run hailey
Based on height and weight and her swing ability, we would recommend possibly going with the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in a 34 inch 24 ounce size.
Patrick
Can it be used in slowpitch? metcalf21
I normally would not recommend using this 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in slow pitch softball as it will not be weighted in a way that usually promotes max performance within slow pitch softball. However, if you were absolutely looking for a light swinging and extremely balanced model of bat to swing in slow pitch softball, I think that this DXCFP would probably work. Before use though, you would need to check with your league and see if this CF8 would have the certifications that would allow it for play in your league.

My daughter is 11 but is small for her age. She is currently using the Bustos 30 inch 17 ounce, but I am looking for a bat with more pop. Would this one provide that? vnick
"Pop" is more of a term that is associated with the skill of the player rather than a measurable feature of the bat. Due to performance restrictions imposed for safety reasons, most bats within the same certification category will perform to the same level at their peak. The difference, and what you end up paying for, is the feel of the bat (balanced vs. end-loaded, one-piece vs two-piece, barrel size, drop weight etc.) and the durability of the bat (how long the bat will perform at that peak level). Which one is best would depend on what you are looking for in those aspects compared to the price range you are looking to stay in. Given that it is a -10, if she is able to swing it as well as the -13, it could lead to more power. However, if her bat speed or form suffers from the added weight, it would not provide the same advantage.
Patrick

The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP is a great bat to consider for a contact hitter. As for the correct size to get, this will be determined by the player's height and weight (as far as our recommendation) or what they are currently swinging.

What is the break-in time for this bat? bull
To properly break in your 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) composite bat, we recommend taking 150-200 swings playing soft toss or off a tee using real baseballs. Jake
My daughter is about 5 ft tall and about 100 lbs. She currently hits a CF7 31"/21 oz size (which works well for her now as she is starting to get around on 12U pitching more). That said, what size would you recommend? Paul
Based upon your player's height and weight, we would make a general recommendation of a 31" option of a fastpitch softball bat. Based upon your description stating that she is now performing as she would like with CF7 in the 31"/21 oz size, I would recommend this 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) in the same length and weight.
Ben

Based on your height and weight, we would recommend the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP in a 31 inch 21 ounce model. A better fit for a slap hitter would be the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFA. This bat features an extended 14 inch barrel making it ideal for a slap hitter.
Cameron
Can you use this bat in cold / cool weather ? johnny softball
Here at JustBats, we do not recommend using the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP in temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
John P.
My daughter is 5'7" and 120 lbs and is currently using a Xeno. She is crushing the ball and is a contact/line drive hitter. Good pop but not crazy pop. She uses a 32/22 right now but I want to get her a CF8 but should I go up to the 33/23 based on her size? BR
Based on her height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP in a 32 inch 22 ounce model. If you feel that she is not getting the reach she needs with her current bat or that it seems too light and she is out front too much then we would recommend getting this bat in a 33 inch 23 ounce model.
Cameron
Is it OK to use these bat for batting practice? charlie
We do not recommend using your nice game day bat in the cages, so I would recommend not using the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) for extensive batting practice.
Jake
What is the difference between the CF8 Fastpitch and the CF8 Slapper model at Sports Authority? Jim
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the Slapper will both be made of the same materials. The difference is that the Slapper is designed for a left handed slap hitters. It has a lighter swing weight and larger hitting surface which allows slap hitters to better manipulate the barrel of the bat through the hitting zone. Additionally the grip tape is flipped around to better suit left handed slap hitters.
Jake
My daughter is 4'3" and weighs 68 pounds. What size CF8 would she need? Carolina1girl1
Based on her height and weight, we would suggest a 28" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS version of the bat.
Jason
I wanted to upgrade my old bat with a DeMarini CF8 DXCFP but my old bat is a -11. Would it be too big of a difference to go with the DXCFP if I'm used to a -11? Jessica
Going from a drop 11 to a drop 10 will affect players differently. We would think that this change would have minimal negative impact on your swing but before purchasing the heavier bat, the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP, we would recommend consulting with a local coach who knows your swing.
Cameron
My daughter is 5' 8" and weighs 200 lbs. I was thinking of getting my daughter the CF8 34" 25oz. bat! This would be her first DeMarini bat! Do you think thats good for her based on her height and weight? Bri's Softball Dad!
Based upon your daughter's height and weight, I would absolutely recommend using a 34" 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP.
John P.
My daughter is 11 yrs old, stands 5'1" and weighs 100 lbs. She hits in the number 3 or 4 spot. It's time for her to get a longer bat. I was thinking a 31/20 (she is using a 30/20 now). We are also trying to decide between the 3 bats 2016 DeMarini CF8 (DXCFP), DeMarini CF8 (DXCFS) or the end-loaded 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat: Right now she has been using a balanced bat. Please advise on the length and weight and also the type of bat. Sbabb
Based upon your daughter's height and weight, the general length suggestion that I would make would be for a 32" option of fastpitch softball. However, if you feel that the 31" model will provide an easier adjustment for her, feel free to go with that length. Since she has used a balanced bat in the past, I would recommend looking to this 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) or the DXCFS model (-11). If you are not wanting to make any weight increase then a 31"/20 oz model of the DXCFS would be my suggestion. However, if you want to get a little more weight in the bat, I would recommend looking to a model of this DXCFP in the 31"/21 oz size (sadly, we are out of both sizes that were suggested, but you may be able to find it with other retailers)
Ben
I have a daughter that is 5'3" 195 lbs playing 14U softball. What do you recommend for bat length and weight? Also, what is the difference between CF8 DXCFP and CF8 DXCFI? What is the difference between CF8 and CF9 besides color? We want a balanced bat, not top heavy. ashley
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP in a 33 inch 23 ounce model. The main difference between the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP and the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFI would be the swing weight design; the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFI will be end-loaded. The new CF9 models will feature an improved composite barrel resulting in better durability, a lighter swing weight and sweet spot.
Cameron
My daughter is 12 yo and plays middle school and travel ball. She is 5'2 and 115lbs. Currently swinging 30 inch drop 12. Looks like she could use a 32 inch drop 10 but concerned about the jump in weight from 18 to 22 ounces. Any guidance is appreciated Rudy pooh
Nobody knows your daughter quite like you, but if you think that 4 oz jump up in weight might be too much for her I would recommend going to a 32" 20 oz bat. While there are fewer options in this size the DeMarini Vendetta Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXVCF) is a great option. But if you think she can make the jump up I would definitely recommend the 32" 22 oz 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP). Hope that helps!
Carter
Whats the difference with the CF8 and CF9? Juju softball
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) differs from the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFP) because the newer 2017 model features the upgraded ParaFlex Composite material which is designed to be stronger than the Paradox composite material used on this 2016 CF8. As well, DeMarini says that the composite construction on the CF9 allows the the sweet spot to be larger as well.
Ben
Is this bat model NCAA approved? Don
Yes, the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP is approved for NCAA softball.
Tori
How does this differ than the "Hope" DXCFH16 version? Ghataa
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP and the CF8 Hope DXCFH16 are the same bat, they just have different graphics. They will perform the same and have the same feel.
Sean
My daughter is 4'5" and 72lbs and 9 yrs old , I am trying to figure out which DeMarni fastpitch bat would be good for her ,Thanks for the help. Jimmy
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP would be a great bat for your player. However, we only have the 33" in stock, which might be a bit too big for her size. I would suggest taking a look at the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFS in the 30" size.
Logan
I'm 5'2", 120 lbs, 24 year old player. (I do a lot of arm work at the gym so I do have strength). Which size would be good for me? maca
Based on your height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP in a 32 inch model.

Difference noticeable between CF7 and CF8 33/25? samster
The only difference between the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP and the DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP, besides the colorway, is the composite material that was used in the CF8. Looks as if the durability was improved with the CF8 model.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
