Description

Expect Nothing but RAW POWER from the DeMarini Voodoo RAW.

Everything about this bat is tailored specifically for the biggest and baddest hitters on the planet. The Voodoo RAW's massive barrel is forged from DeMarini's most responsive alloy yet - X12. Not only does this innovative material create a huge, forgiving sweet spot, but it creates the slightly end loaded swing weight that gives the Voodoo RAW its famous baseball-crushing power potential. That extra mass is strategically added into the hitting zone so that players can attack pitches with the most power possible. The newest addition to the Voodoo's frame this year would be the D-Fusion 2.0 technology. An extra-stiff flex is created at the joint connecting this hybrid's alloy barrel to its composite handle. End loaded swing weight and stiff flex = the exact recipe you need for the biggest sky-scraping moonshots. With the new Voodoo RAW, simply throw your hands, and watch it fly.

The DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: WTDXVDR features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -9 length to weight ratio, the USSSA BPF 1.15 Certification, and is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pretty good bat Tom player

Pros: This bat is a great bat. The ball just flies off the bat when you make solid contact right in the middle of the barrel. There is almost no vibration and you get a satisfying ping sound when you hit the ball. I can't even feel the end load and get plenty of bat speed with the raw. Definitely worth the money.

Cons: I was expecting way more pop when I bought this bat. My older bat was the CF7 and had way more pop than the voodoo raw. The grip is cheap and not that great like all the other Demarini grips so I would suggest some lizard skin grip. If you don't hit the ball right in the center of the barrel you can feel it, and the ball doesn't go that far.

Not what I expected TH player

Pros: Looks nice, little vibration

Cons: This bat has a horrible grip, not much pop, and it feels too end loaded. I have a cf7 that has way more pop and it feels way better. When you use this bat, it makes your swing uneven because of the end load. I'd suggest getting the cf7 -5 instead. This bat was a waste of money.

love it Dave parent

Pros: I bought this for my son for his fall ball transition to the big diamond and his town ball spring season. He has hit bomb after bomb with this bat. Even some of his NEEBL travel teammates choose it over composite. Very quick through the zone and so far very durable.

Cons: None accept the grip is white and thin.

My son is 60", 117lbs and is a strong 10 (going on 11 year old). I want to buy this bat to get used to in the fall, but really looking at spring. Should I go with the 32" since he is so close to the line? -DG

John
Is this bat -10 or -9 elite baseball
The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR is going to feature a -9 length to weight ratio.
John

The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVDR) will be game ready right out of the box.
John
I swing a 32/23 XL3 and I am 5'4", 115 lbs. What size would you recommend? boss hog
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR. If you have been having success with the 32" 23 oz XL3, then you can certainly stick with that size.
Jason
Can you return this bat if it is not the right size? frank
The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR can be returned as for an exchange or refund as long as this bat isn't used. Since this bat does not feature a 30 day guarantee one would not be able to use this bat in BP, games, practices, etc and then, if it wasn't the correct bat, send it back. We suggest customers who are unsure of the correct length/weight to use our bat coach feature on the website and/or take dry swings with the bat and leave the plastic on the barrel and hit tennis balls or whiffle balls to gauge the swing weight feel.
Cameron
My son is 5'2" and 108 pounds. What size do you recommend? mike
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR in a 31 inch 22 ounce model.
Cameron
My son is 5'11" and 160 lbs (16 years old). What size bat? mike
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR in a 32 inch 23 ounce model.
Cameron
is this bat approved for little league intermediate division 50/70? kat
The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR is approved for Little League Intermediate (50/70) as this bat features an alloy barrel (X12). If the barrel were to be composite then it would need to be BBCOR certified (drop 3) but being that it is not it can be any drop in a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter (which this bat is).
Cameron
my son is a 4'6" almost 9yr old that plays league ball and travel ball i need a bat thats is going to fit him now and through the fall travel ball season should i go with a 28" or 29" bat Tiny
Based on your son's height, I would recommend that he swing the 29" bat.
Nick
My son has a CF7 (-8) that we are extremely happy with. He is a line drive and borderline power hitter. We have no complaints with the CF7, but before buying another bat, what would be the pros and cons of the Voodoo versus CF8? Marshall
The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVDR) is going to be end loaded and will have a very different feel and swing characteristics than the balanced CF7. If you are looking to get into a little more power I would say go with the Voodoo but if you would prefer to stay with what your son is used to and comfortable with stick with the CF8.
Jake
My son is 12 yrs old, 5'8" and 165 lbs. He's a pretty solid power hitter. He says he needs a 32" bat with a -11 length-to-weight ratio. However, I think this bat would suit him even though it's -9. Is that correct? Nickc
The availability of a Youth Big Barrel/Senior League bat with a -11 length-to-weight ratio is pretty scarce. We currently only offer one option here at JustBats (and we don't have the 32" size). If you feel that your player can handle the end loaded 23 oz weight of the 32" option of this 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVDR), I would recommend that size option of this bat. This Voodoo OVERLORD has received excellent reviews and I think your player will be happy with the bat.
Ben
Is there a warranty? Joey
All "new" model bats of the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR will feature a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty.
Cameron
My son is 11 yrs old, 5'5" and 135 lbs. He has a pretty strong swing with his 31" 21 oz Insane. He is growing like a weed. Would you recommend the 32" 23 oz Voodoo Overlord or Raw? Mr. Dad
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting either of these bats in a 32 inch model. Both of these bats are very similar. The Voodoo OVERLORD is the 2015 model actually of the Voodoo RAW. The main difference between these two bats would be the connection point; the Voodoo RAW has an improved connection point reducing more vibration from off-centered hits.
Cameron
Would you recommend 31" 22 oz to a 12 year old who is 5" and 110 lbs? miles
Based on the players height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR.
Jason

Yes, I would recommend getting the 31" 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVDR) for your son.
Carter
Which has more pop, CF8 or Voodoo RAW? grey
Neither the CF8 or the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR will have more pop than the other. The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR will have an end-loaded swing weight and is a great option for a power type hitter. This bat may offer more pop if the ball can be squared up consistently.

We would recommend a 32-33" length of bat.
Kyle J.
My son is 5'8" and 120 lbs. He plays club ball 13U. What size bat would you recommend? Thanks. Kathy
Based off the information you have provided, I would recommend the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVDR in a 32 inch bat length. With regard to drop weight, I typically recommend 7th graders to swing a drop 8 and I recommend 8th graders to swing a drop 5. The reasoning behind that is to prepare the player for the high school level when they are required to swing drop 3 bats.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
