Description
TCT Thermo Composite Technology is the key to the MAKO TORQ's industry-leading swing speed, massive sweet spot, and pure feel on contact. This innovative material comprises both the barrel and handle which are united by Easton's patented 2-PC ConneXion Technology. By isolating the handle from the barrel with the connection joint, energy transfer is maximized while simultaneously eliminating any unwanted vibration. The MAKO TORQ's foundation is then optimized with a lower MOI for the best combination of barrel and bat speed on the market. Sounds like exactly what every ballplayer is searching for, right? Well, the team at Easton has taken this design to a whole new level with the inclusion of the TORQ 360 Degree Rotating Handle Technology. Last season, the TORQ Handle surpassed all expectations and more-than-delivered on its promises:
Own The Inner Half: The TORQ Handle frees up your hands, allowing hitters to barrel-up the inside pitch and avoid the dreaded "jam sandwich".
Stay Inside The Ball: By getting your hands inside the ball, the TORQ promotes the best swing mechanics for more consistent, powerful contact.
Power To All Fields: TORQ Technology helps you keep the barrel on-plane longer through the hitting zone, so you can drive the ball with more backspin (to all parts of the yard).
The TORQ features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -8 length to weight ratio, new TORQ TAQ Performance Grip, and the USSSA BPF 1.15 Certification. Mason Mason parent
Pros: Right out of the wrapper this bat has much more pop than the S2 or S3! My son is a contact hitter and he likes the balanced feel as opposed to the Mako XL that is end loaded. He seems to be hitting more line drives. We have hit at least 15 buckets of balls now and he has not complained once about vibration. So far, we are very happy with this bat.
Cons: I am not completely sold on the Torq handle. Although, my son said he does not even feel it rotate when he swings. Worst case scenario we will tape the handle so that it does not rotate if it bothers him. Overall, it's a great bat!
The Mako torq Cameron L. player
Pros: you dont feel the torq handle moving which is grear. the pop is amazing on this bat, overall a great bat
Cons: people always saying to tape the torq but other than that nothing
Great buy for the money Brent parent
Pros: Not too heavy for my son.
Cons: None
First Easton that was BB coach
Pros: Bought this for my 11 year old son. Have tried Combat, Demarini, LS, and other Eastons (among others too). Spent about an hour reading up on this bat. Decided to give it a shot. Composite bats have always had better contact for my son. First two practices, four home runs straight away CF that were "no doubters". Definitely recommend this bat. Will most likely get him the -3 model for Middle School tryouts in the spring.
Cons: None yet.
Wow Liam player
Pros: That bat is balance
Cons: The bat stings if you don't hit it on the barrel and the bat has not that much pop the Demarini cf8 has more pop
best deal on full composite Deadlock Jesh player
Pros: full composite low price easton technology great pattern awesome pop
Cons: still getting used to torq handle grip is pretty weak plastic endcap already chipped
Great Upgrade Jack parent
Pros: Swings lighter than its weight, very well balanced. 11 year old added 20 yards to hits. Makes contact hitter more dangerous and likely to get on base. Good pop. Quickly becoming fall team's favorite bat. Looks good, swings better.
Cons: Some sting on very inside hits, anything on the barrels has no
Bat Baseballboy player
Pros: This is the best bat I have ever seen
Cons: It might hurt your wrist
Jupo Julius Polk parent
Pros: This bat is a MAKO, so you cannot lose. It comes out of the wrapper with tons of pop! Good bat for contact and power hitters. The spinning handle is not truly noticeable if you are punching through with the top hand the correct way. This bat is truly a steal. I wouldn't continue to sleep on this deal. My 12 year old son says the drop -8 is just right.
Cons: None so far .
Great deal D. parent
Pros: I bought this bat for my soon to be 12 year old in a -5 for his middle school team. He is moving up from a -10 and says he can barely tell the difference with the Mako. The bat seems to be very balanced. I'm seeing a lot of gap to gap ropes.
Cons: After the first bucket, my son asked me to replace the grip with lizard skin and tape the rotating handle with sports tape under the grip. We bought the bat for the Mako barrel, and the Torq model was on clearance 1/3rd of the price of the of the other model. If you don't mind doing a little surgery, it is totally worth it.
great bat IC parent
Pros: everything. bought for my son, 2 other parents from team had me order their kids one. best deal for new bat
Cons: none
mako Torq Sean B. parent
Pros: used it once in BP has a nice big sweet spot ball sounds great coming off the bat and my son did not complain about the vibration or the handle.
Cons: none so far.
son loves it baseball mom parent
Pros: My son is 13 and joined a fed ball team this year. This bat has helped with his confidence at the plate. He loves it. Too soon to say much about durability, but other kids on his team have this bat from last season and are bringing it with them this season. I'm happy I got a great price and received the bat two days after I ordered it! I will order from justbats again and have recommended them to other parents.
Cons: None so far
Great Price Diesel coach
Pros: Great price on this bat!!! My son was dead set against the Torq but with the price so low I couldn't pass up. My son did not want to deal with the twisting handle however as soon as I got the bat I cut the grip off and glued the handle with Gorilla glue. I let the glue sit for 24 hours and then Gorilla taped the handle. After that I put a new grip on the bat and it was like a brand new Mako for half the price. My son has had several sessions in the cage with zero issues thus far. The bat has the pop and sound that you would expect from a Mako bat.
Cons: Requires some work if you want to stop the rotating handle.
New with easton torq Baseball in Kansas coach
Pros: Out of box kid liked bat more than combat maximum, first batting practice pop was better kid stayed level longer through swing
Cons: Waiting for one to appear
Awesome David parent

Manager U11 Tigers Keith coach
Pros: Every kid on the team wants to use it, they share it. I see the confidence in the kids eyes when its in their hands.
Cons: I wish I had all 3 sizes
My Son's favorite bat! Ron parent
Pros: My son already had the LS Prime 917 -10 and had been using it since the fall but when I picked this up he fell in love with the POP and huge sweet spot! My son is mostly a contact hitter so loves the balanced feel. I'm glad I didn't miss out on this deal!
Cons: He didn't really mind the torq grip but did ask me to lock it down and re-grip.
ok bat Taylor player
Pros: the bat is good at line drives and hitting the ball hard
Cons: not a homerun bat. I dont know why but it does have that pop i thought it had
so far so good Lanette -Wisconsin parent
Pros: it seems to be one of the favorite that's with the ball team. Another boy actually went and bought one as well. I can tell my son hits the ball harder and farther with this bat. He has always been a good contact hitter, but now there's even more Power with his hits. He actually used it in 43° weather which is not recommended and it held up great. (I was not happy about that! ) they did not have any problems with vibration either.
Cons: The rotating handle, but the kids don't seem to mind it. waiting to see how my son he handles his drop three bat with no rotating handle when he plays and his pony league.
Nice usssa parent
Pros: Ball Flys off this bat. Son is 13 and plays travel ball. Says he doesn't fell the bat rotate snd loves the balance of the bat.
Cons: none so far
14u CrowBallr player
Pros: smooth balanced feel w good pop, hasnt chipped cracked or dinted. Ball flies off this bat w ease. Not much of a break in period required. But has improved after a few good practices and games.
Cons: every one prefers to use it.
Review Bennett parent
Pros: -Looks Good! - No Vibration
Cons: - There's not much of a sweet spot - If you drop it it makes a strange sound
