Pros: My son is 11 (5ft/80lbs) and just back from his first practice warming up the bat. First, it looks awesome. Let's face it, kids love cool looking things and this thing smokes in the looks department. Many times kids also get stuck in wanting something simply by the name. Everyone in our league seems to swear by Easton as they also sponsor area teams. Let me tell you, this bat performed better than any other bat my son has used. The smile on his face watching balls get smacked to the outfield was priceless. He hit balls further and harder than ever! The 2 3/4 inch barrel (40% longer) and new alloys have made a world of difference. This is definitely a bat for a boy to be proud of. I also took pride in having my son use a Louisville Slugger just as I had used about 40 years ago.
Cons: None as of yet. Durability is always a big question but the 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty helps address that.
Pros: Looks great. Incredible power and pop.
Cons: No issues
Pros: looks great good pop out of the wrapper
Cons: n/a
Pros: Got this bat for my 9 year old son. His eyes lit up when he saw the bat but when we went to the cage he was really happy. Ball jumps off the bat and has a good sound. Not much vibration on mishits. Can't wait to see him use it this spring.
Cons: nothing yet
Pros: Great pop, great feel.
Cons: N/A
Pros: My son really likes this bat. Now that he's had some time to get used to it, he is saying that it feels good and he thinks he will do well this season with the bat. I guess only time will tell
Cons: None that I am aware of yet
Pros: We compared side by side with same length (30") Voodoo, CF7 and S3, and my son gets significantly more distance with this bat. He's not a true power hitter, so different kids may get different results. He likes the flared handle, but others may not.
Cons: None yet. Note, information that came with the bat says 30-day performance promise expires 4/30/2016.
Pros: My son said he likes tape handling and it's light
Cons: My son said there is nothing he doesn't like about the bat
Pros: Light weight
Cons: My son's little league bat has more pop then this big barrel
Pros: my son loves it, he is 10 year old. the bat has a lot of pop and well balanced. he is driving the ball and hitting a lot if doubles. his teammates are using his bat now. going to buy a bigger one for future when he outgrows this one.
Cons: paint chips off easily, but does not affect performance.
Pros: Looks cool! Grip is great. Has a lot of pop and is well balanced. My son is hitting well and says it has minimal vibration.
Cons: None yet. My only concern is durability but the warranty is great.
Pros: Got this bat for my 8year old son. First time the other kids saw it they all wanted to use it. So they did. We just finished off a tournament and the kids were all dropping bombs with this bat. Nobody complained about vibration and it has a good pop to it. Would definetely recommend.
Cons: Read reviews about bat denting, have yet to see any problems. been well used for last month.
Pros: Price, feel, good pop and kids like the look.
Cons: The bat dented in one weekend tourney. I dont think you can let any player over about 90 lbs swing this model in a 28/18. It'll dent. Louisville did replace it with the 2017 517 model though in about 2 weeks. very easy process.
Pros: I am 10 years old and play AAA/Major ball. This bat has been good luck for me because it has increased my confidence at the plate. Since I have been using this bat I have been hitting the ball harder than ever. I also don't need batting gloves because of the Lizard Skin grip. I would recommend this bat.
Cons: The bat has a few dents.
Pros: just bought this bat and has great every thing, nice pop, nice feel it is an overall well made bat.
Cons: no cons at all.
Pros: my 11U son says bats feels great! took him a few swings to get used to it, he was changed from Easton S2. Bat feels like end loaded bat! Has lots of pop!
Cons: none so far other than maybe bat's balance is weight end loaded. could take some time to get used to it if player is not stocky. IMO
Pros: I bought the 28 inch for son 2 seasons ago and the 29 inch this past fall. I can honestly say that both bats had pop, there durable and we'll balanced. My son ended up with the highest batting average and the most Rbi's. Most of it is because of his hit tenique but the balls fly off these bats. 3 other kids switch to his bat and you can see that these bats have pop.
Cons: The 28 inch bat lasted about 40 games before we noticed some dings on the barrel. So far on the 29 inch bat we've played about 20 games and it's holding up.
Pros: The Bat was great, it has a great feel and a great pop it's just amazing all around
Cons: None yet
Pros: Bat has some serious pop! I let my son pick a bat and I pick the size. We both hit the gem on this one. Besides the insane looks of this bat the ball flies right of the very forgiving barrel. And the lizard skin grip is an added bonus.
Cons: The yellow on the end of the handle will chip the first time in the dugout, but worth it!
Pros: my grandson loves his new bat. the grasp is great and he is hitting more pitches.
Cons: there are no cons. this bst is awesome
Pros: My son loves the bat. He and many of his teammates have it.
Cons: None at the moment
Pros: Balanced weight, easy to swing
Cons: None
Pros: Great bat. The ball jumps off it. Multiple kids on my son's 11u team have hit well with the 30" -10. Would heartily recommend it.
Cons: Wish they made a 2 5/8" barrell
Pros: The Louisville my boy has great response to it. Has great balance and pop off the barrel and has held up to some bp and 3 games so far
Cons: The Combat bat has great balance but not great pop off the bat!
Pros: I got the -10 for my 9 year old son and he loves it, this last tournament in two games he hit 7 doubles and 1 triple. All sounded real nice off the bat over the outfielders heads. I know its all in the technique but if you need a big barrel for a power hitter under 12 years old I think this bat will be great.
Cons: none yet i was worried about denting but at this age it has been hanging in there.
Pros: No vibration, great pop. I have the 27 inch model and it holds up well. I would recommend it.
Cons: None yet
Pros: Great bat for a great price. good feel, great pop and has a nice modern design
Cons: none
Pros: -hit a homerun in my first at bat with it and loved it ever since -very good pop -great feel and best bat tape you can buy
Cons: nothing
Pros: awesome bat. Had it for a year and a half and can still hit it over OFs heads.
Cons: Grip not great just pick up a new one

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
