Great buy Zach player
Pros: Great out of the wrapper explosive feel, No vibration, and slightly top heavy but feels great for me. I am 5'5" 124 pounds and love the 32" -3 version. I would strongly recommend this bat to everyone it has a slightly more top heavy (like I said before) feel than the 916 which is more balanced but I like the feel of this one better plus it is $100 cheaper.
Cons: Nothing great buy!
Unreal Feeling Zill player
Pros: I am a senior in high school and I can't even begin to describe the feeling you get swinging this bat. It is unlike any other. The pop in this bat is crazy, it reminds me of the old composite bats. If you're on the fence about getting this bat, get it. You'll be very glad you did.
Cons: None!
Amazing Bat! Chubatron player
Pros: Right out of the wrapper the feel of this bat was amazing! I can't even begin to explain the pop this bat has. It is slightly top heavy to give you that extra boost of power. I highly recommend this bat to any highschooler.
Cons: None
get it NOW sam player
Pros: best bat you will ever swing, has insane pop and is good for the price
Cons: none
2016 Select 716 Christopher player
Pros: Amazing feel and great balance.
Cons: The Lizard skin unraveled after the first round of hitting. The rubber cushion near the knob moves which makes the lizard skin unravel near the knob.
Solid Bat Younghuss player
Pros: For all of you parents out there looking to buy your kid a bat, this is the one. 3 bills is a good price for aluminum bats these days and let me tell you why this bat is worth more than that. I am a senor in highschool and my cage had a radar system implemented into the back of the cage to read exit velocities when I hit. I usually sit around mid 80's. Last night, I grabbed this bat, and hit a line drive right back up the middle that read 90 mph. Buy this bad boy.
Cons: If you're a lefty, the grip will not last. Gave 4 stars for durabilty because the end cap becomes loose but does not affect the pop.
Dave player
Pros: Didn't break
Cons: Everything. This bat has no pop whatsoever, It feels dead whenever I hit a ball. Terrible buy.
Good Feel travis player
Pros: Feels really good on the sweet spot and has a great overall sound and feel
Cons: nope
Great Bat - AWFUL grip Zach P parent
Pros: Great pop Excellent balance
Cons: The grip came loose on first use. Got a replacement bat - grip came loose on the second use. Louisville Slugger needs to fix this silly design flaw
Good bat Cdenn player
Pros: Lots of pop. Love the endload.
Cons: Pop jumps after about 400 hits in bp. Grip is terrible. Bubbled up in 50 swings because of the taper underneath the handle.
amazing Jackson player
Pros: This is the best bat I have ever used. My first day using this bat was spectacular and the second day was even better, and in the first game of the season I hit a moonshot over the left field fence. this is an amazing bat for anyone who wants contact and power.
Cons: occasionally the grip will start to unravel but other than that nothing is wrong.
Not a fan for left handers Steve Prichett parent
Pros: none that outweigh the cons
Cons: Louisville Slugger knows there is a problem with the way the grips are attached if you are left handed. The grips WILL come off within one or two uses. I spoke with Louisville Slugger just now and after describing the problem, they asked if my son was left-handed, which he is. Their solution is to send you a grip so you can regrip your $300 bat.
louisville slugger -3 BBCOR BILLY BOB player

Power Hitters Dream Proud dad parent
Pros: Great pop, hitting fence in the both power alleys 360ft one dead center 400ft just waiting for them to start going over when it gets warmer.
Cons: grip come off after one bp round, called Louisville sent new grip 2 days later retaped bat for left hander great ever since .
716 Bill other

Pros: great pop and comfort
Cons: grip tape came loose on 2nd day and it wont stick where it needs to . very frustrating for $300
Rattles inside after four months. Cvargas parent
Pros: This bat was used by my 15yo for highschool ball. He likes the feel of it from the get go. Stated it has an end loaded feel. Exit speed off the bat was amazing. Unfortunatly we moved and can not find the receipt for an exchage, because it is a great bat.
Cons: After four months, we were able to hear a rattle inside as if a something broke and is floating around. Grip is a major issue for this bat. Grip easily ripped after little use.
Great bat but not very durable Colbe Eldridge player
Pros: The bat has great pop and is a little top heavy but it still does the job. I recommend this bat if you are a contact hitter or power hitter
Cons: The bat grip is unraveling and there is a broken piece inside of the bat and it gets annoying. the broken piece doesn't effect the bat but sometimes the umpire or the other team might think you put something in your bat. other than that the bat is great. (I've also only had the bat for almost 2 months)
Elite Jack Clothier player
Pros: As soon as I got it, it had amazing pop. Barely any time to break in. Slightly top heavy, but good for power hitters.
Cons: None
Dead too fast nathan lovisa player
Pros: ball feels good off the bat.
Cons: the bat died wau to quicklyall.
So far so good! StuporG parent
Pros: Son has used it for two weeks now and is very satisfied with everything about it so far.
Cons: Nothing.
716 select Jake player
Pros: This bat has a great feel, its doesnt sound like an alloy barrel that much which i like, when you hit one good it feels like you really crush it.
Cons: The grip will come off after about two uses due to the black piece near the knob that makes it slightly tapered. Just take the piece off or retape it better so it would stay on the taper. This wasn't really a big deal to me.
best bat ever only for top heavy bat lovers ben weber player
Pros: bought this bat and have almost hit back to back homeruns in my third game using it. Seriously if you love a top heavy bat this is the one
Cons: none
Great pop Dad parent
Pros: Great pop, son has hit several bombs including one at a college field they went over 400ft.
Cons: Developed a rattle after a few months.
happy happy ellie and ian parent
Pros: my son is extremely happy with the bat. i am happy with the price and delivery. i ordered it and recieved it in 3 days! thanks for making us both happy!
Cons: none
my favorite bat in a long while Jason player
Pros: this bat has a great pop and feels mamxing with the swing. I'm 5'8" and weigh 150 and the 32-29 model of this bat fits my swing perfectly. It reduces vibration very well and despite what many reviews say the grip hed up very well and I probably average about 1000 swings a week.
Cons: I've had this bad for almost 2 years now and recently something has come loose in the barrel which can be annoying but it still works as good as new.
Love jack player
Pros: i was on jv and have been called up after using this bat, because my hitting improved
Cons: none
Bat review Nate Riggs player
Pros: feels good in your hands handle isnt to big on the bottom looks good
Cons: no pop cant hit for power hard to find the sweet spot
Combat is great Ann G parent
Pros: Very balanced, great for a base hitter. Bought if for my son who is a freshman in high school. He loves it and his hitting improved almost immediately. He says it is "balanced" and not too heavy in the end which makes it easier to swing. He is 5'8" and uses the 32"
Cons: None,
33 1 player
Pros: I bought this bat about 3 months ago at an Academy Sports. I'm 14 years old, about 5'7" and around 120 pounds. I'm not tgat strong for how tall I am but I still manage to hit the ball to a 300 foot fence every couple hits. This bat is a little heavy for me since its an end-heavy bat and 33 inches but I swing it fine.
Cons: I think like 2 pieces came apart and rattle around in the bat, but that is a good thing for me because it seemed like that gave the bat a little more pop (or maybe its just me). By the way go ahead and buy and by another lizard grip for this bat because the factory one is loose and wrapped for lefties. It came off in about a month but otherwise this bat is amazing for players like me.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
