Description

The Marucci Hex revolutionized what was attainable with a composite bat design, and now hitters who prefer the traditional feel and sound of a fully Alloy construction can wield that same ground-breaking technology you find only in Marucci bats! The Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10 may look like a typical one-piece Alloy design, but under its electric neon green and silver paint scheme, this bat is truly innovative. Each MSBAHAY10 is forged from Marucci's new AZ4X Alloy and is individually tuned for optimum performance in each length it is produced. The Hex's barrel provides the maximum barrel length, and it is also ring-free which only maximizes the trampoline effect a hitter can create. The ultra-soft micro-perforated comfort grip and sting-free ergonomic knob round off this premium design by improving feel and control while reducing vibration. Marucci: Honor The Game!

AMAZING GBEAR parent

Pros: - GREAT POP - SOUND - BALANCED FEEL - COLOR My son has used a number of bats this year from the Combat Maxum, Easton Mako, Easton S3, AND when I bought this bat it was the best Investment. Sound is wicked. Ball flys and it definitely out does the competition.

Cons: NONE

Pros: Great pop and sound. Color is great and paint job held up fine.

Cons: The knob is plastic and fell off twice during use. First time was replaced under warranty. Happened a second time after 7 months use. Marucci would not replace it again. Only 1 replacement under warranty, i would not recommend this bat.

Wish we found this bat sooner! Doug S. parent

Pros: Switched to this bat late in the season. My 7 year old hit his first homer on Saturday then put 5 over in his travel ball tryout. Amazing what a hot bat will do for a kid's confidence. Plus I love supporting a company from my home state (Louisiana)

Cons: None

Nice response right out of the box! Colorado Shu parent

Pros: Love the look, feel and response with this bat. Been using the Easton S3 for (3) seasons (bought 2016 model last month...but it lacked the pop we'd expected) and will relegate that bat as the "backup" to the "Marooooch" as we've nicknamed it.

Cons: Am I crazy to commit about $250 to my 11 yr old's bats for a season or two? Not sure. Tell you after he hits his next round tripper and I put a price tag on the memory for him, his team and his family. This is just 12 hours after receiving it. We had one lone session in the back pasture but my son and wife were ripping balls further than expected.

Great Bat So Far JN parent

Pros: Great pop right out of the box. My 8 year old played up this year against with mostly 10 year olds so I had him using an older and lighter drop 13 bat. It worked fine for him but he wasn't driving the ball as well as he could have. I waited until after the season to get him a new bat and after seeing him hit the Marucci, I feel like I might have been doing him a disservice by not buying it for the spring season. The ball really jumps off this bat, and even when getting jammed it doesn't seem to rattle his hands at all. It has a great sound as well when the ball is hit.

Cons: None so far. Rated durability low given how short of a time he's had the bad.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My son is going to be playing 10u in 2016. He is about 60 pounds and normal size for his age. Do you recommend a 28/18? Ron
Based on your son's age/weight we would agree with you and suggest getting the 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBAHAY10) in a 28 inch 18 oz model.
Cameron
Does this bat have the flared knob like some other Marucci models? 1Bcoach
The 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10 does not feature a flared knob design.
Marcus
I was looking at the Marucci CAT 6 for my 12 year old son. He is of slight build, so I wanted to get a 29"/19 oz size, but I do not see it anywhere. Do they make one? If not, is the MSBAHAY10 comparable? Gary
The CAT 6 was not made in the Senior League/Youth Big barrel style with a 29"/19 oz size. This 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBAHAY10) would be the model that I think would compare closely to what you are wanting as it has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter and all-alloy build like a CAT 6.
Ben
Can this be used in Little League? Hank
This 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBAHAY10) has an alloy barrel, 2 5/8" barrel diameter and USSSA 1.15 certification. These characteristics will be allowed in the Intermediate and Junior division of Little League baseball.
Ben
Is this an evenly balanced bat or is it end loaded? Mark
The 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10 features a balanced swing weight.
Jason
How does this bat compare to the Anderson Flex senior league bat? MC
Given that both the 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10 and Anderson Flex are one-piece alloy bats that are well-balanced, they lend themselves to be very comparable bats.
Marcus
My son is playing 9U Pony league which allows 2 5/8" bats (4'8" tall and only 64 lbs). He has been using a 29"/17 oz Hex Alloy (youth bat). If I get the Hex Alloy Big Barrel, do you recommend 29"/19 oz or a 28/18? RJDad
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would definitely suggest the 29" length for him. As well, I think he should be alright with the 19 oz weight of this 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBAHAY10) produced from the 29" length. It may take a little bit to get used to the upgrade in weight, but I think he will adjust once he uses the bat a little bit.
Ben
My son is playing 9u ball and has been borrowing a friends Marucci CAT 7 27/17. He weighs 66 lbs and is 54" tall. Would you recomend a 28/18 or 29/19? He is crushing the 27/17, so my concern would be his timing. ryano
Based on his height and weight, we would suggest a 29" 19 oz model of the 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10. If he swinging the 27" 17 oz CAT 7 really well, then it should not be a problem for him to make the jump up a couple of inches and ounces.
Jason
My son is playing Babe Ruth Baseball 14U. He's 5'6" and weighs 125 lbs. What size and drop do you recommend? Jeff
For a 14U player we would recommend getting a bat with a minimum drop of -8 to help the player make the transition to high school and BBCOR bats easier. With the 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10 being a -10 bat this would not be the best option for the player. Based on the players height and weight, we would recommend getting a 32 inch 24 ounce bat like the 2017 Marucci Hex Connect -8 Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBHCX8.
Cameron
My son is playing 8U, he has been playing ball with a 27/17 but I'm getting him his own Marucci bat. What size do you think? He is 81 lbs, 4'6"! nikki
Based on your players height and weight, we suggest a 29" bat. Unfortunately, we no longer have the 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10 available in that size.
Jason
My son is 4'9 and weighs in at 115 lbs. He is using a bat that I feel is way too big at 33/23. What size do you recommend? Rob
Based on your player's height and weight, I would suggest a 31" 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat: MSBAHAY10.
