Great Bat! Tyler player
Pros: Bat has massive sweet spot and no vibration. Love the new look and two piece feel. Great bat!
Cons: None!
Absolutely Great Bat Barry Huntington parent
Pros: After a ton of research, we chose this bat based on reviews both on Justbats as well as other websites. We are not disappointed. First BP session last night with it and my 16 yr old son loves the bat. Similar in balance to his 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR. Huge sweet spot. Exit speed was impressive. Minimal vibration thanks to the tech designed into the barrel. He is amped to take it out to the park and see what kind of pop the bat has. Great purchase and the 30 day trial guarantee is a bonus (though not needed).
Cons: Not much other than the tape on the wrap was coming undone after the first session. Minor issue.
Best bat in 2016 Garrett player
Pros: I'm surprised I'm not seeing more of these bats on the field. Last year's Mizuno was a hidden gem and they followed up with another winner. I swung a Mako until I used my buddies Generation last year. That bat was insanely good. I decided on the Nighthawk this year and LOVE IT! There's not need to spend $400. This bat out performs any other bat on the market and is only $300. Have your dad get you a better glove with the money you'll save him on the bat. You won't be disappointed.
Cons: Zero so far.
Great Bat Mitch player
Pros: I've always been a Louisville guy in the past but attended a couple demo days this year and tried the Nighthawk. I didn't even know Mizuno was making bats. This bat has a massive sweet spot. I feel like I get a lot of pop even when I don't hit it exactly on the sweet spot. It has a great feel, good weight distribution, and I love the grip.
Cons: Wish it came in a different color.
Good Bat Big J player
Pros: I tried this bat at a demo day and was surprised at the performance as I never have swung a Mizuno. The bat has a very large sweet spot. Even when I didn't hit it right on the nail, I still felt like it had more pop than other bats I've tried. I did have some vibration but the performance out weighted it. I typically use Lizard Skin on my bats but this grip is very comparable. Overall a solid bat for the price. Can't wait to see how Mizuno follows this one up.
Cons: Some vibration in the bat when I didn't get it square on the barrel but the performance out weighs this con.
OMG! Shane W player
Pros: This bat is great. I recommend it to everybody. Not just power hitters, but to everybody. The balance is perfect, end loaded enough for power hitters to take advantage yet balanced enough for weaker players not to lose swing speed!
Cons: None yet
Nighthawk is wanted for murder Derrick 99' player
Pros: This bat is a killer! It was just released this year and it's been on a killing spree ever since. Any chance it has, it's been murdering baseballs! Seriously this bat is sick. Great weight distribution, great feel before/during/after contact, great sound, great grip, great look, etc. I was a Louisville guy but now this is the only bat I'm pulling out of my bag.
Cons: The bat is a killer
b will player
Pros: huge sweet spot alot of pop. everyone on the team loves its better then the cat 6 in my opnion
Cons: the gripp coming undone
Amazing Bat No Doubt! Harrison player
Pros: -Lots of pop -Big sweet spot -Sound is loud (I like this a lot) -No vibration I LOVE THIS BAT
Cons: Swapped the grip out for lizard skin.
Noah player
Pros: This bat has absolutely tremendous pop out of the wrapper. I went from hitting baseballs 330 to 360 just by switching from my Velo. I think it's a little end loaded so you have to get used to that. On mishits or if you get cuffed there is no vibration to kill your hands.
Cons: The handle is a little thick. I replaced with a thinner lizard skin and haven't had any issues. Gave durability a 3 because I've only had it a couple weeks.
Nighthawk BBCOR Big Rich parent
Pros: My son is a 8th grader but practices with High School. The high school boys loved the bat and my son had big hits straight out wrapper. Definitely a 5 star bat.
Cons: None
Great Buy Chris Zill player
Pros: Very nice bat excellent feel and great power. The bat has good balance.
Cons: Nothing great buy
Best Bat on the Market Nick player
Pros: I play College Baseball in Texas and was introduced to Mizuno bats with the 2015 Generation that Just Bats had on closeout. I purchased that bat to use in practice to limit wear on my Mako. It took about 5 hits to realize the Geneation had more POP and better feel than my $499.00 Easton MAKO . When I saw Mizuno's 2016 line and that they came out with a 2 piece, I had to give it a try. I love it even more than the 2015 Generation. I hit some of the longest balls I ever hit the very first time I used it. HUGE POP!!!
Cons: None. Mizuno is making the best bats on the market hands down.
This is the BAT Luis Villalba parent
Pros: Great sweet spot, massive and great for all hitter. Very goods line drive and pop.
Cons: none
Great Bat for the Price ($110)!!! Tony L. parent
Pros: Price, Appearance, Large Sweet Spot, Nice Pop, Balanced Weight, Easy to Swing. My 13U son used this bat for the first time this weekend and went 4 for 7 with some nice solid shots up the middle. So far, so good!
Cons: None
Mizuno Nighthawk bbcor Bat Braxton player
Pros: The bat is absolutely amazing. I am a small kid and can get this bat around just fine on 70-80 mph. I really like the sound when you hit the ball. The carbon fiber windows really reduce a lot of vibration. I honestly can't say enough about this bat. You need to get one!!!
Cons: None, the bat is great.
Is this legal? Mouse player
Pros: The pop in this bat is incredible! I'm not going to start hitting home runs, but the average is going up!
Cons: Catchers are complaining their ears hurt from the sound of the ball hitting my bat.
Great Mason player
Pros: It has great pop, no complants at all. It has great pop right out of the box
Cons: none
Perfect Jared player
Pros: Just went from a 31 inch 2015 mako bbcor to this in a 32 inch bbcor and it still feels balanced and it feels good in my hands.
Cons: none so far
Incredible Pop Mizuno convert coach
Pros: The velocity off the bat seems illegal when compared to my sons bats from last year. The entire team uses it.
Cons: Nothing yet.
best bat in 2016 brandon player
Pros: i am 10 years old and i have hit bomes with it. It puts Demrene and Easton to shame
Cons: none
Awesome pop Reyna Munoz parent
Pros: I bought this bat for my sons freshman year, and this bat is not top heavy and has incredible pop. My son had a $400 Easton bat and it never really actually had a lot of pop. For the price and all the great reviews I caved in and bought this bat, and Im so happy I did.
Cons: The tape around the bat will need to be changed.
Great bat for the $$$$$! Matt Davidson parent
Pros: I was on the fence about what bat would be best for my son moving up to the bbcor world. We tried several different brands at different price points. I was going to buy an Easton Mako but this bat caught my eye. I thought how can a man go wrong buying a bat named nighthawk? I just knew this bat was going to be legendary! It has a nice pop to it and preforms as well if not better than any other bats we have tried. We bought the 33"/30oz and its a good size for my boy who is 5'10.
Cons: Had to put electrical tape around the top of the grip to keep it from loose.
