(1) This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM Madison Shipman -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MS113) will come with a one-piece, all-composite design and a very balanced swing weight. As well, the -13 length-to-weight ratio will make it a very attractive model of bat for use by a younger player. (2) The bat is able to be sold at a cheap price because we were able to buy the bat a a very low price from COMBAT [COMBAT is no longer making bats and had to liquidate their inventory]. (3) Unfortunately, I have not been able to hear back on the performance, but the MAXUM was a very solid line of bat overall and since you can purchase it so cheap, it may be worth trying out.

My daughter is 8YO, 66lbs, 50". Based on all bat size recommendation charts she should have a 28" - 29" bat but when I have her stand with the bat to her side it comes way up the arm. If the sizing is recommended to be between the palm and top of wrist even the 26" is pushing it a little. Should i go with the 26" to be safe or larger? What is your recommendation? BMRGOLF

I just purchased this bat for my daughter. So far, not complaints or problems. Seems to really be helping her swing and hit. I just noticed this was discontinued and it worries me that it was discontinued because there is something wrong with the bat. This bat is only marked as discontinued because Combat as a company has gone out of business. Combat made very quality bats, unfortunately their parent company had financial issues and so Combat was dropped. We will cover the warranty claims on any Combat bats purchased from us.
