Unbelievable bat especially for the price HB parent

Pros: Daughter is a junior in high school bought the bat for the price, it has out performed any bat she has swung to date. So far in the short season she has hit 2 solid home runs and is loving this bat. I will be buying more since combat is out of business. Take the time to break in this bat it will be worth it.

Cons: The bat starts off stiff at first with some feel in the handle but plenty of pop, throughout the break in process the bat opens up. It was not an issue for us but some hitters may not like the feed back from a miss hit.

Awesome Underrated Bat!!! Mom parent

Pros: Got this in February. My daughter is a freshman this year 5'6" 150lbs. had a Easton Mako Torq 33" 23 oz. I bought her this bat and the Madison Shipman -10 33" 23 -10. She has mostly been hitting the -10 which she loves until a girl borrowed it. This weekend during tournament play she hit a double to the fence and next two were over Centerfield fence for back to back home runs. Followed up by a triple. Needless to say she loves this bat!!

Cons: None so far but agree with the other review that it is a stiff feel during break in and honestly is say it isn't all the way broke in because she's been hit the Shipman so much. Both bats are great.

Pros: Large sweet spot and good pop. My dad bought this as a heavier alternative to my Demarini for slower pitchers and it seems to perform almost as well. Great value for the price.

Cons: None yet (only used in batting practice so far)

Does the one piece Madison Shipmen drive the ball farther in your swing test? Compared to the COMBAT MAXUM with its two piece design. andy

Both the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM Madison Shipman -9 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MS209) and the 2016 COMBAT Madison Shipman -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (TCSFP110) are going to be very comparable performance wise. The major difference is the feel of the one piece design vs the two piece design. Whether a player prefers one or the other really comes down to personal preference through.

This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM Madison Shipman -9 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MS209) will feature a balanced swing feel to it. However, it does have a -9 length-to-weight ratio which can tend to feel a little heavy for some players.
