Description

New for The all-new Anderson FlexZilla combines the PowerArch interior sleeve, multi-wall design of the legendary TechZilla with the new FlexLink composite handle! This combination of technologies provides performance at the cutting edge of legality with a feel that inspires confidence. The all-metal barrel of the FlexZilla includes Anderson's patented PowerArch that features two aluminum walls - an inner sleeve that wields the PowerArch contour, and an exterior shell that provides added elastic performance and durability. The two-piece FlexLink design incorporates a stiff composite handle that is scientifically tuned to match the mass of the all-metal barrel to create a uniquely balanced feel. This combination of materials creates a bat that has a superior feel, superior performance, and delivers a truly one-of-a-kind hitting experience. The handle is designed ultra-thin to fit nicely into the fingers and is wrapped with a Thin Sport Grip that provides a tacky feel and extra support. At the end, a Weldless-Ergonomic Knob adds weight where it is transparent to the swing in order to reduce MOI. The MOI is further reduced with Anderson's TruFlex Toughened Lightweight Cap that provides the support in the end of the bat that is necessary to maximize energy transfer to the barrel. The FlexZilla may be new, but it won't stay a secret for long! Anderson: Game Improvement, By Design! The FlexZilla is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: My daughter loves this bat! She's 13 and has already hit a single, a double, and a triple the first week of owning this bat. The FlexZilla gives her a lighter option to hit faster pitchers with the same action as the TechZilla.

Cons: If anything the price, but no cons to the engineering

Pros: I got this bat for my nine year old and she's been hitting doubles all the time and some triples, but she's not that fast so her triple would have been a home run for a girl who has speed.

Cons: The only thing so far is price but you get what you pay for so get the bat and get the hits.

Great product Parent/Coach coach

Pros: My daughter has always been a good contact hitter but getting her to hit with power has been an issue. We bought the bat and immediately noticed small infield hits turned into hard line drives. She used composite bats in the past (yes, including Xeno composite material) and the pop she gets from this bat is much better and more importantly more consistent. It's not if she's going to hit the ball hard it's where she's going to hit it. While NO bat is going to make any hitter an overnight homerun threat every at bat it does provide the pop reviews say. Plus the Flexzilla composite handle delivers an ounce of weight reduction than the original Techzilla so you can get an extra inch in length for the same weight. Anderson products have the best pop and largest sweet spot on any bats I've seen used on a consistent basis. Would buy again and again.

Cons: Little spendy but you get what you pay for

Great Pop, A Little End-Loaded Connecticut Rockets coach

Pros: The FlexZilla is a great bat for a smaller, more advanced player looking for a metal/composite combo bat with a lot of pop. There is no better barrel than an Anderson alloy barrel. My daughter says the sweet spot is huge, and her hitting instructor says she noticed the ball jumping off the bat better since my daughter started using the FlexZilla. The simple gray with white and red graphics gives the bat a distinct, tough look compared to other crazy paint jobs, which can be a plus for some players.

Cons: Anderson describes the FlexZilla as a bat with a "balanced feel" but it actually feels a little end-loaded, especially compared to other bats with a -11 ratio. This seems to be a common trait of Anderson bats, and it is not an issue for my daughter. Just something to be aware of when comparing options.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Anderson FlexZilla FP Fastpitch Softball Bat: FZFP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I am looking for some feedback on this bat. My daughter is 11 and plays 12u travel ball. I thought the balanced FlexZilla may be better for her than the rocket flex. She is only 4'9 and 80lbs. Do you think this bat has as much pop as most of the high end comp bats? I am a fan of the 2 piece comp/metal bats in my slow pitch playing. DB
The Anderson FlexZilla FP will have great flex in the handle. If you're a fan of two-piece half and half bats then the FlexZilla is a great choice. For your daughter's size I'd recommend the 31" size.
Kevin
Do u make this bat in a drop 12? stick
The Anderson FlexZilla FP only comes in a -11.

How does this bat compare to the Xeno, in balance and stiffness. zulee
Both bats will have a similar swing feel because both are very balanced. The Xeno will be a two-piece all composite bat. While the Anderson FlexZilla FP: FZFP Fastpitch will be a two-piece hybrid bat. Neither bat will be very stiff. They both will provide a lot of flex at the handle. Which will help bat speed.

Can this bat be used in cold weather? fatbat
We do not recommend using any non-wood bat, including the Anderson FlexZilla FP: FZFP Fastpitch, in temperatures below 55°F (13°C). In those temperatures, the ball becomes much more dense and could damage or shorten the useful life of your bat. Composite can crack, and alloy can dent, so neither material is proven to be better in cold weather, unfortunately. I know that is not always avoidable, but it is important to be aware of.

My daughter loves the Anderson RocketTech. What bat do you recommend to replace that bat? She is 5'4'', 117 lbs, and has fast bat speed. wicked softball
The Anderson FlexZilla FP: FZFP Fastpitch will feature an alloy barrel like the RocketTech. However, the Anderson TechZilla and the Anderson Ignite will be more comparable because they are one-piece alloy bats.

I am 5 foot 8 and weigh 130 pounds. I am a power hitter. Would this bat be something you recommend? keykey9
The Anderson FlexZilla FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (FZFP) is a very nice design. However, a heavier model with a stiffer flex like the Anderson TechZilla FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (KTZLFP) might be better suited for you if you are a power hitter.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
