Description

The new Ignite XS is a complete redesign of Anderson's classic one-piece single wall bat. This bat is designed to maximize Anderson's all-metal alloy, with a shape that optimizes the Moment of Inertia (MOI). This new alloy has a greater yield value and added strength that allows a lighter, more responsive, and larger Effective Hitting Area (EHA). Reducing the weight in the EHA, while maintaining the strength necessary to withstand consistent impact, allows for greater design versatility. This also helps in optimizing the MOI, which is one of the most overlooked, yet most important aspects of any bat. Optimizing the MOI makes it possible to swing the bat faster with less effort. For the hitter, this means more power behind every swing. The Ignite XS is topped off with Anderson's TrueFlex End Cap that is designed to increase barrel strength and aid in vibration management. Also helping to decrease vibration is the TaperFlex Contour which uses design mapping and wall-thickness tuning to prevent productive energy from escaping the barrel. This allows the Ignite XS to have maximum energy transfer to every ball hit. The ultra-thin whip handle is designed to work in conjunction with the TaperFlex Contour to give players a comfortable feel and promote proper mechanics. Finally, an ergonomic weldless knob provides unmatched comfort and reduces risk of hand injury. Anderson: All Metal. All Legal. All Made in the USA! The Ignite XS is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Bat Enthusiasts

Pros: Best BBCOR out there hands down. My son has tried most of the big name BBCOR bats out there and honestly they do not compare to the Anderson bat.

Cons: The only con I have heard with the limited people who are aware of how good this bat is that some have experienced some dents. Even with the dents the bat seems to still proform. The dented bats have been replaced.

Pros: Amazing performance. I have got more pop and distance with this bat than the other 3 BBCOR bats I bought. Anderson has another winner with this one. I don't get the denting thing people have talked about. I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs. and I have over 800 cuts on this beauty and it doesn't have one dent.

Cons: None, Spectacular piece of equipment.

Pros: Definetly a power hitter bat..solid contact and a HUGE sweet spot better then DiMarini...a little end heavy but nice balanced swing, hits well off handle.

Cons: Small knob

Pros: The Ignite has a nice endload without feeling like a log. Thin handle adds to the ability to swing fast and get the hands into hitting position quickly. Sweetspot is smallish compared to BESR but that is expected. Mishits still get through infield quickly but hit it square and the ball will fly. My son is a HS JR and he hit farther and more consistantly far than with his old BESR bats. I didn't know what to expect with BBCOR but was pleasantly surprised with the pop and distance out of the Ignite. If you like moderately endloaded one piece bats I would highly recommend this bat. Two thumbs and two big toes up.

Cons: Small knob took two bp sessions to get used to rubbing pinky differently. But 4 games and 1 week later no trouble at all.

Pros: thin handle + end loaded = one of the best bats ive ever used..may actually be better then my BESR CF4... seriously best bat ive ever used 2 games 2 bombs.. this bat has crazy pop. no lie. i know this sounds crazy but dont overspend on some CF5 junk... get this .. u will be in shock at how good it is.. heck my whole team uses it now.

Cons: only thing is it has a small dent, ive only used it for about a week and a half, but i think thats a good thing bc that means thinner alloy? and more trampoline if u ask me.

Pros: Awesome pop. No difference from BESR

Cons: Going on 3rd one because of dents. Did not take long to dent each time. Last time was in a cage - maybe 55-60 MPH. They better replace AGAIN.

Pros: This bat is a great bat for any one looking for a good priced and great performing bbcor bat. The bat has some pretty wicked pop for bbcor, some coaches ask me what type of bat im using when im hitting. This bat is the best kept secret, if you want a great affordable bbcor bat then get this bat now!

Cons: If you hit it off the handle then you will dent it for sure, i know two other people who had it and dented it hitting off the inside part of the barrel but warranty replacement held up great!

Pros: Great POP Large Sweet-spot More balanced than other BBCOR

Cons: Dented after 8 games, but so did my son's Anderson KXR last year. They replaced last 1 and I expect same here. But, it takes a few weeks. They dent with normal use... or at least ours have. But we like them...

Pros: Balls fly off this bat

Cons: Dents easy, but I'm pretty sure it's called a performance wave, because the orginal Texzilla they made dented but it came with a piece of paper saying the bat isn't dented it gets performance waves till it's broken in.

Pros: A balanced bat to be used for a player with no power!

Cons: Don't buy this bat! It's a dud. I replaced 3 of them for my son in the last 18 months. Yes, the manufacturer took them back each time under warranty, but the last one he dented again and popped the cap partly off. The ball no longer jumps off of the bat after only 2 months of swinging a brand new one! My son is now swinging a Marucci Team and hit the 370 ft. sign in Right field and doing it as a right handed batter! Way to go Marucci!

Pros: Few

Cons: This is a terrible bat! First one dented with little game use, Anderson replaced and we had same problem - significant dents with about 15-20 games. Waste of money - Anderson would not stand behind second bat - they said sorry warranty only good for first one not replacement... Never buying their product again.

Good bat Scott player

Pros: Good pop. Awesome grip and knob. Good size sweet spot

Cons: I have the 2012 Ignite XS 34 31 with the black cap and knob. Definitly not balanced like some people say. Easton Xl and S series is definitly more balanced. Dont know if the new clear cap makes a difference.

If jesus played baseball he would use this bat flowerboy10 player

Pros: This is the best bat i have used. I saw the price and made the decision to buy this bat with my own money. It was a big risk for me and i wasn't sure what to expect. It sat there the first day in my room and i just couldn't stop thinking about hitting with it. When i went to hit with it I swung and i had a feeling comparable to hitting a ball with a wood bat perfectly. The greatest feeling in the world. Its not like all these mainstream bats that make a small thud when hit. This back makes a great sound. I can not believe how good it is. A HUGE steal

Cons: Durability. It breaks once about a year. but it doesnt matter cuz its half the price of the MAKO.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Anderson Ignite XS BBCOR Baseball Bat: IXS? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Truely which bat would be better for someone who is a strong contact hitter this Anderson Ignite XS) or the Easton XL2? cuppy
The Ignite is a bat designed more for contact hitters. The Ignite is a one piece 100% alloy bat. A two piece is designed more for power hitters.
Kris
im dont hit alot of homers i like to hit the ball in the gaps wich is better for me nike m1 or anderson ignite ? bigred
Both the Ignite and M1 are stiff one-piece bats that are typically preferred by power hitters. The Nike MC2 is a two-piece bat that may be better suited for a contact or gap hitter like yourself.
Brett
i like to hit the ball in the gaps witch do u think is better for me the ignite or nike m1 yowatup
That is a personal preference. Both are constructed from high quality alloy and have a one piece design which creates a stiffer bat.
Mark
Is the anderson ignite a better bat for power hitters or contact hitters? slugger
Because it is a one piece alloy with the lower MOI, it could actually work well for both. The lighter swing weight gives them a little more power, and the huge sweetspot helps contact hitters.
lkh
where can i find that in -5 baseball
At the moment, we do not have this in a -5. We have the adult BBCOR -3, the youth big barrels in -10 and -8, and the youth 2 1/4 barrel in a -11.
Gamer
I am trying to decide between the Anderson Ignite and the Easton XL3. Which bat has more pop? Which bat is better overall? ok
The Ignite is a 1 piece all metal alloy, that has a low MOI so it swings light. Great pop right out of the box. The XL3 is a 1 piece, nice trampoline, good pop, all alloy bat with a low MOI also.
lkh
They are both one piece alloy and are going to have great pop. The XL3 is going to be more endloaded than the Ignite and a slightly bigger barrel.
K.B.
The BESR certified andersons claimed their bats had no break in period, and never loses pop. is that the same with the BBCOR anderson ignite? MOOOOOOOOO
The Ignite doesn't require a break in period and will perform similar to the BESR bat.
K.B.
How does this bat compare with the Verdero 718 Max? Joe_Rocket
The IXS will have more of a balanced feel where the 718 Max will feel slightly end-loaded. The knob on the IXS is a little smaller than the flared knob on the 718 Max. Both are good performing alloy bats and based on intitial feedback, both are on the same level in terms of performance and durability.
Ryan
We have the original best nanotek bat....is the ignite bbcor the upgrade?....will you also carry the nanotek xs composite model?... Rich
The Ignite is a very nice one piece all metal alloy bat. It is also a single wall for tremendous pop.
Linda
Do you know when the nanotek bbcor is coming out? l3
At the moment, we do not have an expected delivery date. Keep an eye on the website, they will be posted once they arrive.
Linda
What is the best power hitter bbcor bat, our son hit the cycle as a HS freshman. DOC
This bat has very good POP, and will be a very good bat for a power hitter. This is one of the best BBCOR bats
KG
I am a highschool freshman about 6'8" and 130lbs. I want a good one pieced bat with good pop but similar feel to a wood bat. Would this bat be good? I have never used an Anderson so does this bat have good pop and power? JV baseball player
Yes, this bat has a very nice sweet spot, and great pop!
Linda
How does this bat hit compared to the Anderson KXR senior league -8 bat? MWCRUSADER14
Well there is a huge difference. The Ignite is an adult bat with a -3 drop weight. The Anderson is a -8. so you are talking a 5 ounce difference. It depends on the batter, which one would be better for him.
Linda
I am in 7th grade and next year will be forced to use a -3 BBCOR bat for middle school. I am 5'1 and weigh 95 pounds. I have a short, compact swing. I am looking for something with great balance, but I would prefer if it was made in America. I was also looking at the Omaha and the Easton S3. Out of the Ignite, Omaha, and the Easton s3 which would you recommend for me. Nickelback Lover
All three of those models are great options. It really would come down to personal preference.
Billy
My son is going into highschool next year. I bought him this bat for Christmas. Should he start using the bat now to get use to it or stay with composite ? Will be hit better if we don't go with this bat yet ? He is 5'5 and weighs 143 lbs. Lmjet
These bats are at their maximum performance level right out of the wrapper, so you could think about how long you want this bat to last. But of course you do want to allow some time to get him used to hitting with a different bat.
Shelbe
Does a rattle or looseness in the bat affect the pop? and why does it do that? Todd
If a bat has a rattle then some of the material inside the barrel has come loose. This does not affect the performance of the bat and is simply just an annoying sound.
Kris
How does Anderson Ignite compare (which better) to Rawlings Velo 5150? Besides Both being one piece. mark
The Ignite is slightly end loaded and the Rawlings is balanced. If the player is stronger, the Ignite would be an excellent choice.
KB
In a 3 way comparison, for a power hitter, what is a better choice, the Anderson Ignite, Rawlings Plasma, or the Louisville Slugger Omaha? jvbaseball27
All of these bats are just about the same. Each one of them is a one piece alloy bat. With that being said, they will all perform similarly. All three of these bats are pretty balanced and are great options for a power hitter. You can't really go wrong with any of these bats!
Jennifer
What are the differences between the 2012 and the 2013 Ignite? Nick
There has only been one version of the Anderson Ignite Adult bat. No changes have been made in the production process or with the construction of the Anderson Ignite XS BBCOR bat.
Tyler
I had got the Ignite long ago and the end of my bat was black. Why is the end cap now clear in a way? bul12345
This is the style end cap Anderson has been using for quite some time now. The Anderson Ignite XS BBCOR: IXS Adult is topped off with Anderson's TrueFlex End Cap that is designed to increase barrel strength and aid in vibration management.
Tyler
Does this bat really dent a lot? dan
Looking at some of the reviews, there seems to be a few comments about that. Keep in mind that it has a warranty and the Anderson Ignite XS BBCOR: IXS Adult has a lot of great reviews as well.
Chad M.
Is this bat made for a power hitter or a contact hitter? Camel
The Anderson Ignite XS BBCOR: IXS Adult bat would be a good option for a contact or power hitter.
Aubrey
I've heard the Anderson Ignite BBCOR dents a lot but I've also heard that they are just performance waves. Should this bat be used for personal use not by whole team? aaron
The bat reviews for any model, including the Anderson Ignite XS (IXS), will be your best insight on how a bat will perform as well as if it has any durability issues. For any bat, we recommend limiting use to a single player, as using it for a team bat will significantly shorten the life of the bat. The Anderson Ignite is also backed by a 12 month manufacturer warranty so if it were to become damaged within the first 12 months of purchase, you can get it returned to Anderson for warranty purposes.
Tessa L.
What does the weldless ergonomic handle mean? aaron
The ergonomic Weldless Knob on the Anderson Ignite XS BBCOR (IXS) Adult bat was developed with the help of orthopedic specialists to provide unmatched comfort and reduce the risk of injuries to young players. The knob of the bat is a single piece with the handle.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
