Description

After years of producing the highest performing all-metal bats on the market, Anderson is doing things differently this season. The NanoTek design has been revamped and made into a two-piece alloy/composite hybrid. Don't worry though, many of the same technologies remain and many more have been added to make this NanoTek the best yet! The thing that really sets the NanoTek apart is Anderson's LaunchPad which gives this bat the largest, most explosive, effective hitting area of any bat in the game. LaunchPad is an integral blend of complex nano-metallic and aluminum alloys that are molecularly bonded to create a barrel structure that results in a single metal wall. The patented LaunchPad combination delivers more strength and pop than any solo material or combination ever tried. By elastically strengthening the hitting area, the LaunchPad gives players the most reactive barrel in the game... with no break-in period required. Every feature of the NanoTek is designed to provide the hitter with the ultimate in performance. From the TrueFlex End Cap and TaperFlex Contour that aid in vibration management, to the Ergonomic Weldless knob that provides phenomenal comfort, the NanoTek will exceed your wildest expectations about what an Anderson bat can do for your game. Anderson: Manufactured With Pride in the USA! The NanoTek is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: LOVE the new endloaded feel. The original NanoTek swung too balanced for my taste. The new composite handle is stiff, not flexy. Tons of pop for a metal bat... can't believe it's a singlewall.

Cons: None!

Pros: I am "Royalty" in my league, The outfielders bag up, and the fans wait in anticipation. With out question this is the most powereful bat I have ever owned. Fresh out the wrapper bombs. The end loaded feature is definitely felt when you swing the bat. First AB of the season, HR. Everyone goes to composite, smh, you composite fans have no clue. If you are not using aluminum then you are missing out on homeruns. If you are a power hitter..........Anderson Nanotek Omega is exactly what you want. I swing a 30 .oz, that is only advised for the big boys. This bat swing heavy. If you buy anything other than this bat you just wasted your money. Pay smart and play big.

Pros: Hit well for about 24 hits.

Cons: Dented and cracked at swing 25. Returned it to Anderson, which took more than 3 weeks for them to issue a return number before I could mail it back after emailing and calling several times. Then a week later they mail it back stating a softball could not do that damage. I have bought dozens of bats from this website, which I love and will continue to, but Anderson has far been the worst. This bat is not worth $300. I will never buy an Anderson bat ever again. Go Miken or Demarini.

It's good, I guess? Atro player

Pros: Comfortable Handle, durability, 30 Day Proof at the Plate Program, 1 Year Warranty, Admiration of Fans?

Cons: Price, Not a whole heck of a lot of pop, but I think it's because it hasn't broken-in yet. Gets out hit by the team's White Steel.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Anderson NanoTek SP Omega Slow Pitch Softball Bat: NANOSPO? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Does the bat play heavy? I use a 27oz. but have noticed that because some bats are end loaded they seem to feel heavier. Would I go to a 26oz on this bat instead of a 27oz. or does this bat play to its said weight? Ray
This bat does have an end loaded swing so if you have been swinging with a balanced 27 oz. bat then this one will definitely feel a little heavier, the 26 may be a good choice.
Shelbe
Is this bat covered under the 30 day proof of play warranty? Frank
No, Anderson no longer has its "Proof at the Plate" warranty anymore.
John
I have a 2011 Nonotech bat and ASA is not allowing it. It seems this bat and the 2010 are ASA approved. Will the 2011 be submitted for ASA approval. How does this 2012 bat compare to the Miken Ultra II? Ralph
This bat will be approved for play in ASA for 2012 play . The Miken Ultra 2 (MSU2) is a senior league model which will be deemed illegal for ASA play.
David
whats the difference between the omega and alpha? nassman
The NANOSPO is going to have an end loaded weight distribution. The NANOSPA is going to have the weight distributed evenly throughout the bat.
Sean
I play in a coed league. We can't use 100% composite bats that are double walled. I see that this is a single wall and considered a hybrid. Believe we can have composite handle. Is that what hybrid is referring to? Just want to make sure I can use this bat if i buy it. paul
The hybrid design in the 2012 Anderson NanoTek SP Omega refers to an alloy barrel and composite handle.
Kara
On ebay this bat is listed as composite. Is the barrel 100% Alloy or is there any composite in it? Is the handle only composite? Lou
The NanoTek SP Omega has a full alloy barrel and a composite handle.
Tyler
I am wondering what kind of sound this bat make upon contact with the ball. I have read several reviews and some have said that this bat has a loud "ping" sound. Eagle
The 2012 Anderson NanoTek SP Omega: NANOSPO Slow Pitch bat will make a ping sound at contact due to its single wall alloy barrel.
Nick D
Is the bat stamped on the taper with the USSSA logo like will be required for bats starting next year? Jake
The Anderson Nanotek does have the USSSA BPF 1.20 stamp making it legal for play. Here is teh link to view more details on this model. http://www.justbats.com/product/anderson-nanotek-sp-omega--nanospo-slow-pitch/14565/

We would like to purchase the NanoTek bats for our league. If we ordered the end loaded bats say at 28 oz. some one said they seem to play heavier then they seem. Therefore would you recommend getting a lighter oz. one. Example if you wanted to use a 28 oz. bat would you order a 27 oz. to compensate for the 28 oz. Ray
The Anderson NanoTek SP Omega: NANOSPO Slow Pitch is end loaded. We do recommend go to a 27 oz if you normally swing a 28 oz balanced bat.
Kara
I use a 34/30 Miken Freak DST Maxload in a men's league, which is their endloaded version of the DST Balanced, but cannot use it in a coed league. I know that endloaded bats swing a little heavier than balanced ones, but I was wondering if the 34/30 Omega feels comparable in weight to the 34/30 Freak DST Maxload before I buy it for a coed league. drcal
The Anderson NanoTek SP Omega: NANOSPO Slow Pitch will not feel as end loaded as the Freak DST Maxload.
Kara
Why is the Omega $300 when the Alpha is $250? nassman
We received our last batch of Anderson NanoTek SP Alpha: NANOSPA at a lower price from Anderson than the Anderson NanoTek SP Omega: NANOSPO. Instead of keeping the price at $299.99, we decided to pass our savings on to our customers.
Tyler
Do these bats have the new flexlink handles? Atro
Yes. The Anderson NanoTek SP Omega: NANOSPO features Anderson's FlexLink handle design.
Tyler
How does this bat compare to the DeMarini White/Raw Steel? Jimbo
The end loaded swing weight of this Anderson NanoTek SP Omega (NANOSPO) Slow Pitch bat is very comparable to the feel that the DeMarini Steel models offer. This NanoTek would be most comparable in design to the (DXWHI) with its two-piece hybrid design. We haven't received a lot of feedback on this particular model, but most of the reviews indicate that it is a solid choice.
Mac
What does the end load do to the ball when hit compared to the Alpha? rpitt
The end-loaded design of the Anderson NanoTek SP Omega (NANOSPO) can provide more power if the hitter is able to swing the bat at a similar speed to how they would swing a balanced model like the Anderson NanoTek SP Alpha (NANOSPA). This is accomplished by focusing the mass of the bat to the point of contact with the ball, thus increasing the force exerted on it.
Patrick
Is this bat legal for a league that is not allowed to have a double wall or a composite barrel? Will the end-loaded design have anything to do with the regulations? rpitt
The Anderson NanoTek SP Omega (NANOSPO) should be considered legal in single wall leagues and it does not feature composite material in the barrel, only on the handle. I have not seen any leagues deem a bat illegal for an end-loaded design but if you are concerned about it you may want to double check with a league official before purchasing the bat.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
