It should still be ok in 60 degrees, but I would be careful going much below that.

This will be a pretty good performing hybrid BBCOR bat. It may not be a top-tier bat, but it's definitely better than a lot of others. The handle's really just a personal preference. I know some people who like it, and others who just can't get used to it.

Yes, the L170 is a wood bat. The L130 is a half and half design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel.

The idea of the Axe handle seems great but arent you confined to only 1 area of the bat? in other words you cant have the bat handle face any other direction tripleplay

I have not heard on this issue, the bat is under warranty for 1 year. You can send the bat to the manufacture and they will replace it.
