A 30 inch bat would be 24 oz. Will a 10 year old be able to swing that type of bat? My son is currently hitting with a 29 length metal bat. Dub
It depends, really, on how strong he is. I have a 9 year old & 11 year old, and while each of them could probaly swing a heavier bat, I would advise against it. Ideally, you'd want to put a bat in his hands that he could easily handle. However, it would be an excellent training bat to build up strength.

Yes, I believe as long as the Bamboo model has the BBCOR stamp then it will be approved for play. I recommend speaking with a coach or a league official to verify your league's rules. For sizing, our charts suggest a 32" model. I would make sure you look at an adult Bamboo model though and not a youth.

I would look at getting a Viper Ultralight Birch Youth wood bat or the Viper Ultralight Birch Senior League, as they are the lightest wood models we currently carry. They range from -7 to -10 (it fluctuates due to varying density of each cut of wood), which be as close as you can get to the -10 you currently swing.
