I had arguments at the beginning of each of the past 3 little league seasons because the coaches consistently tried to say, for a number of reasons, that they wouldn't let my son use this bat because it didn't have a BBCOR sticker on it. It never came with one, and to my knowledge wood bats didn't have BBCOR ratings as they were not composites designed to give and spring. If this bat is BBCOR rated why was there no sticker to verify this fact and why would BBCOR be applied to a wooden bat? Perhaps I am not understanding the whole BBCOR rating and it's pertinence here. First of all, youth bats like the BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Bat: HNBUY are not eligible for BBCOR certification because BBCOR only applies to Adult bats. Second, Adult bamboo bats, do in fact, require a BBCOR stamp or sticker. NCAA and NFHS rules state that wood bats do not require a BBCOR stamp, but technically, bamboo is a grass, not a wood. Thus, all bamboo bats require a BBCOR stamp for use in NCAA, NFHS, and any other league that follows these rules.

Unfortunately, I would not know the certifications required for wood or bamboo bats in IESA. I would probably recommend reaching out to the league directly to see if this BamBooBat Bamboo Wood Youth Baseball Bat (HNBUY Natural/Royal) would be legal for use or not.
