Is this bat able to be used in the spring, in cooler temperatures, with the same results? JJ
It is not recommended to use any alloy or composite barrel bat that we sell in conditions colder than 55 degrees. At this point, the baseballs you will be hitting can become compressed and harder at the core. Hitting these compressed balls is not what the 2014 Carrera Prime BBCOR (PRIME-LIZ) is designed to do. Decreased performance and damage to the bat can occur in such situations.

The 2014 Carrera Prime With Lizard Skins Grip BBCOR Baseball Bat (PRIME-LIZ) and the Omaha 515 are very similar bats. They are both one-piece alloy designs with balanced swing weights. They are both equally good bats for contact hitters. We typically suggest that players stick with the manufacturer they have had the most success with in the past.
