great bat F&F stevie j player

Pros: 1st off the sweet spot is massive even your miss hits are hard shots, probably 50 swings to start the break-in. It has great pop right out the wrapper the 1st practice after i took it out of the wrapper i hit 3 shot well over 350. This bat also feels more like an endload bat. I would recommend this to anyone but especially for baseball players just switching to softball

Cons: the bat knob is rather large and i hold my pinkie finger over the knob and unless i have a grip n rip or some other type of bat end it doesnt feel to great while swinging

How is the Derby Boys weighted? I really like an end loaded bat. How does it compare to the Assault line like the new Assault G4, or G4 two piece? RonS

We do not carry the Assault line as it is strictly available to Canadian retailers but according to the information we have from Combat's site, the 2015 COMBAT Derby Boy's U-Trip Slow Pitch Softball Bat w/ Lizard Skin Grip (DBSP8) will be similar in that it is a single-piece composite construction but it features the new Performance Enhancing Disc (PED) technology which is an inner disc that reinforces the barrel wall for improved performance. It is a more balanced design though some players may feel like it has a slight end-load.
